@2:50 ...the snow loafers are back!! Single and no kids, but almost bought one of these. Great driver/rider comfort, gas mileage, just a all round great trip car.
I have her. Went to Toyota bc the ms. Wanted and upgraded from our 2016 Subaru wrx. We said going in w a laugh that we weren’t buying a minivan. They happened to have this one & we bought it that night! Never looked back
Comparison for those interested: My 2020 V6 FWD Sienna will get 23-27mpg highway (wind direction dependent) and then around town, if I'm in a hustle I'll get like 11mpg; driving normally it's about 17mg. So the hybrid will get you *much* better mileage, but I saved about $20k and a year of waiting buying used. And I can do most of the maintenance myself. I'm not quite ready to figure out how to manage a hybrid's high voltage system in my spare time.
I like that you show it in the videos, but I hate that the government mandates 5 annoying beeps every time we start a car. Some automakers make it less annoying than others. These Sienna beeps are awful. Thank you for showing it in your videos though. We like to know
I drove 2023 Toyota Sienna's fresh off the lot and they drive very smooth. Almost like a toy wagon, in a good way. Meaning that the drivetrain works smoothly and doesn't feel like a mass jumble of millions of metal parts (which a car technically is). So it drives simply like a nice simple toy wagon from back in the 90's. 😍
Would you get one of these in a heartbeat having three young kids. It is so frustrating that you cannot get a higher trim with the three seats bench in the middle. That is what would make us go to Honda.
I love this one but I don't know why the rear view of my car doesn't look lthe same in this video . Thanks for the review so I called the dealer to change it 👍
Bro you seen it had different drive modes but you never switched it to sport mode. It's a lot quicker in sport mode, go back and check it out. Thanks for your content.
I was told by my local toyota dealer then if we order a platinum sieanna with spare tire it will have to came with regular captain seats and not recliner ottoman seats and I noticed this sienna on this video has spare tire and ottoman seats, any thought...
I've read on the forums that you can get 2 of the 3: AWD, Recliners, and/or spare tire. This one doesn't appear to be AWD, so recliner and spare would work.
I love my mybach so wouldn't consider it in that class. With the wood grain though does have the yacht feel of the most expensive rolls Royce. The dash seems so big but is a van. Love the color choice because you don't expect that. Also moms will love the foot opener when hands are full. Think it needs a V6.
We reserved and drove a green Sienna Platinum AWD with a spare tire (just what we wanted). We found so many problems that we did not take delivery. These problems are not mentioned by any reviewer: (1) The pickup is sluggish. I don't think I will be able to pass a semi while on the highway. (2) The ground clearance is very low. While test driving, on a side road, we went off the asphalt on the sand to change drivers. When I pulled up on the road, the bottom of the minivan scrapped the road. (3) The 360 degree camera is a joke. First of all, it only works when the car is in reverse. If you put the car in drive, there is no more 360 camera. Instead, I saw the map. When I asked the Toyota Salesman on how I could view the front cameras, he told me that it was impossible. This is a bummer because on my Santa Fe, when I am pulling into a parking space, I turn on my cameras and with the 360 camera, I can ensure that I don't hit a vehicle on the side. (4) and this is the biggest problem. There is no reachable cup holders for the 2nd row seats. The cup holders at the bottom of the front center console is too far away and too low down. The cup holder on the side door is also low and is convenient for bottles. There is no way, one can put an open cup and remove it without spilling. (5) the Center entertainment screen is extremely low resolution. A diagonal line is jagged. This jaggedness happens because the low number of pixels cannot show a line that is not vertical or horizontal. The Grand Highlander has the latest high resolution screen. Why can't the very expensive Sienna Platinum have it. (6) because the vehicle is so rare, the dealership put a mark up on it. We were comparing the minivan (my wife and I love minivans) to the Palisade, and even though the Palisade has low MPG, with my calculations, we would have to drive 142000 miles before driving the Sienna overcame the price difference that the Hyundai SUV had. My wife does not drive much and we would have to drive the Palisade for 15+ years to overcome the cost. Hence, we left the Sienna behind.
One more issue for my kids... the USB position for the 3rd row is only on one side. This means that for one person, the charge cable will go across the seat and over the other person. I wish Toyota had charge ports on both sides. The Sienna only has heated 2nd row seats and nothing for the 3rd row. The Palisade has heated & ventilated 2nd row and a heated 3rd row. The headrest for the 2nd row folds and folds a little (like a pillow).
You can absolutely enable the 360 view while in gear, but only at very slow speeds. For obvious safety reasons. On my 2021 (looks like they haven’t changed much since then) I have the “auto” option turned on for the 360 camera and it automatically pops up when I’m coming to a stop or slowing down to park. Love it. It’s possible the particular Sienna you drove had some kind of malfunction with the camera system 🤷🏻♂️
@rebel7254 When I asked the Salesperson, he told me the 360 camera was only for reverse. When I moved the car to drive. The 360 camera went off. I did not try to move the vehicle. On both the Hyundai Santa Fe and the Palisade, if I have the gear in reverse, the 360 camera comes one. If I swtich the gear to drive, the 360 camera remains, but this time showing me the front of the car. This did not happen on the 2024 Sienna Platinum.
@@leaddog007007 Sales people sometimes aren't all that smart. On my 2017 Honda CR-V, I needed to adjust the headlights up. Everybody at the dealership told me there is no adjustment with the LED lights. I didn't want to believe that. Upon further investigation, there is in fact, an adjustment screw, one on each side (I think it takes a 10mm socket). Easy as pie to adjust. So you know I just had to show everybody at the dealership how it's done. But getting back to the issue, you might have to go into settings and adjust to your liking there, IDK.
Sienna Infotainment screen is lacking. Wife’s Highlander has the large screen. They should have put that in this platinum especially paying this much. No panoramic sun roof. Not really worth it to go for the platinum. XLE is the best value for the money for the Sienna.
@@jamiel5952 i believe the point to get the platinum is for all the bells and whistles. The Sienna platinum does not offer enough for the extra cost difference.

The v6 is way more fun to drive than the hybrid. If you prefer better gas mileage then this is the one.

Ssdly my 2011 limited sienna seems to have nicer finishes than this one and a 3.5 liter v6. That's a lot of moola for a disappointing execution
