Always pumped when you drop another high quality video! I''m also a USB 2IS350 owner and definitely appreciate you doing these mods and sharing on video...now I know which caliper color to go for. Also, what carbon fiber steering wheel is that? Where did you buy the carbon fiber engine compartment cover?
I have 2 questions . 1) how does the car shift with the modified valve body?(i was thinking of doing that as well) and 2) how does the RR racing strut tower brace compare to the Megan racing strut tower brace?
I think I forgot to add that clip in the video. Lol shifts a lot smoother and better! No complaints here. The strut tower brace definitely feels a bit stiffer to me, with no flex points which is nice!
@@LensOfMartin awesome ! I went with the Megan racing because of the price , plus i already had the rear brace as well . And I'm glad that the modified valve body is making a difference. Thank you for the response and blessing the is350 community with this great content ! 🙏🏽🤝🏽
Strut tower brace shouldn't have impact on this car. It isn't McPherson suspension, and that only has benefits with that type of suspension, best thing you can do is add underbody braces.
@@PResmejor nice! I still have Megan Racing for the rear/trunk brace which is nice. Plus the underbody F sport brace which all together helps the stiffness.
I've got a 2015 Rc350 with 37k mi. It would occasionally flare from 4th-5th gear during spirited driving, did a couple drain and fills to get it fully switched over to the AMSOIL ATF and no more flare it made a huge difference shifting also. Highly recommend anyone with a lexus do this
@@richardcanales815 Put the car up on Jack stands, the drain bolt is located on the Trans pan, the fill plug is a 22mm bolt on the driver side of the transmission next to the header/midpipe exhaust flange. Remove the fill plug first to ensure you can refill the Trans after you drain it. When you drain it you should get between 2.8-3qt but measure it just to make sure you put the same amount back in. With the car on jack stands you can start it up, turn off Trac-con shift it through all the gears P/R/N/D/M and paddle shift through all the gears 1-8 or 1-6 depending on your Trans. Repeat the drain and fill process until you've replaced the amount stated in your owners manual. It's a really easy job all you need is a 14mm, a long 22mm wrench, a measuring cup, and a fluid transfer pump
Really enjoyed this mate and appreciated how in depth you were with the technical stuff. I’m at 53k on my ISF, shifts fine but it’s nearly 12 years old on the original “lifetime” fluid, this has got me thinking.
You should usually get your transmission fluid changed between every 30-60k depending on your driving habits, even if it is "lifetime fluid". Since you have an isF you should definitely get it changed sooner than other non-performance cars. The shifting will feel more smooth and it will increase transmission life. Always remember, "lifetime fluid" only lasts the life of the transmission which will definitely be shorter if you don't change the fluid.

@@LensOfMartin There will be a little bit of old oil with the flush in it left in the engine, but it will not hurt anything. I suppose you could buy some really cheap oil and run it for a minute or two, then drain again to rinse it out. Or you could just leave it in there and have the rest of the flush to continue to clean as you drive. I honestly didn't think about clearing out the old oil. I just put the flush in, let it idle for 15 minutes, then did a normal oil change.

Hey do this mod work on a 3rd gen is 250 the mod for the transmission im getting the turbo rr racing kit but was wondering if the trans mod works on my car
They did a Nice job 👏 . My Lexus dealer Technician isn't as good as your guy. Lexus Tech says no need to change a metal screen filter. The service department has never done a filter change. They told me 900.00 to change it. They are insane...
Yea, you have to buy the part and find a nice Independent shop. My Dealer wouldn't even do a drain and fill. They wanted to do a complete flush using a machine. Absolutely not happening, especially with my mileage.
It was just a factory code that warns that fuel trims aren’t in factory spec- which we know it’s running richer because of more fueling for the supercharger.
So you have to pump the transmission fluid in from underneath? You can't add it from the dipstick location? I'm not even sure if there is one on these cars

SOrry, Marty, I didn't follow all your videos. What broke your transmission couple months ago? I see that you did your tranny fluid change here. Looks pretty legit.
After this changed it worked great for a few weeks but the damage had already been done. One of the clutches burned out and it overheated. Popped in a used transmission with new fluid and the same mod, and ran so much better!
Great content Marty! Did you feel a significant difference with shift kit? I have a 3IS 350 and thinking of going down that entire route, wasn’t sure how much of a difference the kit made.
If that’s a short ram u could have gotten the velocity stack. It actually does help it shift smoother. The only reason I know this cuz I currently have it on my 3mz highlander. Out of the possible mods I’ve done to that thing is that having a short ram velocity stack intake will make it shift better. I even did a cold intake style with the velocity stack. Let’s just say that I lost torque but gained so much top end but I still dealt with little bit of shifting aggressiveness but overall not bad. But if u wanted to make the tranny shift better this is a cheap way of doing as long as it’s a short ram style.
Yeah it has all new coolant as of July last year, but I drained some this past week and got fresh stuff in there. There is all fresh DOT4 fluid in there which is good for street, but we will see if we need to upgrade to DOT5.1
Wow, no gloves, that guy is crazy... no wonders his fingers are swollen up like that and barely can move them. Cool video, I may try that on my transmission to give it some snapppiness vibes.
