    Thank you so much for this. I never knew about the human player combat indicator. I would always switch the the faction that lost, toggle off their units then switch back to the human faction and toggle them onto the won hex. This will save a few seconds and reduce the amount of errors that may occur.
    Next up a tutorial for Rise of Fenris? I see aspects sneaking through on the app in this tutorial!

      Thanks. We haven't yet updated Android so the behavior is a tiny bit different in that it won't ask you who won (the idea being you don't need to send back the enemy if you lost).

      @@scythekickapp2655 Ya I use it for the iPad. I just never noticed the button at the top before. Also for rise of fenris, can I add mech mods?

      I’m thinking that in episode 4 (assuming episode 2a was played) you should have only mech not infrastructure mods but for some reason I could only add infrastructure mods to the Automa set up. In episode 5 I was able to add both which worked well. Luckily the mech mods can easily be adjusted in the app for extra workers.
      Finally at end scoring of episode 5 you may want to check the influence token calculation. I believe the Automa shouldn’t lose coins for acquired influence.

    Honestly, the only thing that could make this perfect is some kind of tutorial for ai games so that you could just whip this app out to play the automa from the get go.
    That said, it's wonderful! I couldn't really get myself to internalizing all of the little tie breakers. For that alone, I find this essential! Helps that it saves money on multiple decks. I'm even running the wind gambit as a first-time player! :D

    Is the landscape mode with the side by side card and map view available on Android? I can't seem to get that view on my tablet

    A few short thoughts of the app. First I would love some form of back button or re-roll a card (without having the automa draw a new card and potentially move forward).
    Second, I've been reading up on a lot of automa guides, both video and on the boards out there and there's been just a moves in the app I feel are different from what I've seen on other sites (generally all the guides differ for whatever reason, mistake or whatnot, so it's hard to know which one is correct). The one example I can remember is when you have a worker move, some examples allow the worker to be placed on lakes adjecent to enemy combat units, while the app doesn't seem to allow this in the same scenario. Maybe it's hard to say with this little information, but can anyone specify how lakes are treated in the app when it comes to the neighborhood of enemy units (assuming the human player don't have lake walk ability)?

      Hi Erik, thanks for your comments. Are you looking for an undo to back up a move (or wrong move), or more of a re-roll redo. iOS currently has undo, but if you draw the card again, it will be the same one (the deck is not changed).
      As for the moves, the best is to show the specific scenario which is showing a different move than you expect, but in general, the Automa only considers riverwalk (and the first abilities of Albion and Togawa), and not any of the lake walk abilities. This matches the guidance the Automa designers gave (which is to simplify the conditions to check against). So an Automa worker will go on a lake unless there is a neighboring Automa mech which has riverwalk.

      @@timcherna4995 Thanks for responding. I was kinda looking for both back up a move (I have on android) and re-roll so you get another card for the same move. Not the biggest thing, but would be nice just to play around a little.
      As for the moves I'm not sure how to show it, but it's kinda related to the example 1 in the Automa manual on page 5. The neighborhood of the human player in the example doesn't count the lake since it can't move onto lakes (but it does have riverwalk in the example as far as I can see). I've seen some guides that allows the automa to place a worker on that title (given the other conditions are settled) and some that always pick the other available hex that's not next to the human mech.
      If my memory is correct the app had one automa Rusviet worker move where the human had a mech on the factory and the automa had two available hexes, the hex on the lake with two automa units next to it and one closer to its base with two automa units next to it. The app seemed to want to place the worker closer to its base instead of the lake, which is where I got confused if it doesn't count as the enemy neighborhood (And the tie-breaker being closest to the factory). Unless I counted the number of units wrong or something.

      Does the app work the same in that situation?

    One question: Are the Resources that the human player must earn when he wins a Fight indicated on the same Fight card used by the Automa during the same Fight?

      @@giuseppepagano871 yeah, that's what the Automa rules say. Makes it odd that multiple combats in the same turn might share the same result, but it allows the human to know what the results would be, much like a human / human combat would be.

    How do you figure out what card to use to see if the human player gained any resources if they win combat? Doesn’t the rules say to use the last discarded automa card? If so how do you view that card? Also a button to take the last action back would be nice just Incase while your playing you make a mistake. Good app though what a time saver.

      Hi William, it will be the top card on the Automa deck for that player (not the combat card). Normally the card is drawn, and then discarded and it becomes slightly faded. After you discard the combat card (if any) it is the visible card.

    Overall I say the app is mostly worth the total cost - though that cost is somewhat ambiguous until you've hit all the paywalls you need for your use case.
    If the developer had some assistance from an experienced UX designer, I feel this app would absolutely be worth every penny, as it is not at all user friendly in its current version, and it is quite difficult to determine what the app will do / won't do, or how the UI is expected to be used. It is very, very easy to entirely hose an automa game, with no resource other than to start over, which is frustrating. Even after watching this video and viewing the documentation, I'm still unsure if you can actually view the automa discard pile, which is critical for combat resolution with humans.

      Thanks for trying out the app -- you can see the total list of in-app purchases and their prices on the Store screen by tapping Manage Purchases on the Settings screen. Each one explains the price and what they do.
      Undo -- yeah, this is a good idea and a requested feature. I have to see if I can put that in (I did for my Wingspan app WingMate and it is working well).
      Combat - you don't need to see the discard pile unless you are trying to count cards. The app doesn't let you do that and I think it isn't in the spirit of how automa should be played, but that's me.

      @@scythekickapp2655 late reply, for human vs automa, it is a must to have see the discard pile for combat. because, if human win combat againts automa, the reward will be according to the top card of automa discard pile. not because to count cards on discard pile, but for combat reward.

    Is there any info regarding what is going to be worked on for Android? I just recently purchased this and all addons for android not realizing it's not very helpful for the Rise of Fenris campaign I was purchasing it for.

    I play solo against one autometta. If I want to attack one autometta mech, ich pickup my mech, then click the attack button up left. then the possible hex' are blinking. but, when I then select the one hex with the autometta mech, there is no popup with "who won the fight?". It simply remove the autometta mech completely and places my mech on the hex. I think this is a bug? using android with the newest app version.

      Hi Sven, thanks for asking. The Android version doesn't yet have the 'who won the fight' UI. Currently it just assumes the human won.

      @@giuseppepagano871 if the human does a combat against the automa, then you can use the button to mark that the human won. If the human didn't win, then there is normally nothing to update.

      @@scythekickapp2655 In thanking you for the great job done in this video, allow me to share the personal enthusiasm in having just finished my first solo match against 2 "automette" (Polania and Rusviet). Everything went wonderfully smooth like oil.
      But without your contribution, many things who knows when I would have guessed them, despite the App's online guide.
      Final result:
      Poland 62
      Crimea (I) 39
      Rusviet 39
      It is clear that I have to improve a lot.

    Why on 11:50 the Mech don't Go to the space closest to the factory and adjacent to a enemy combat unit?

      The Wind Gambit adds two new tie breakers added before all the other ones -- in this case the territory closest to the Automa airship.

    I state that I do not know the abilities of that Faction.

    Requiring a purchase to make other purchases is very strange. I understand you are doing work to put this app together but your pricing model should change. After saying all that I'll probably end up still buying extra functionality. It is better to do automa from here than buying individual decks for each AI with multiple automa.
