@@kosterix123 It should have 9 cards, not counting the Doom Core card itself. You're literally replying to the designer of the game. (The six cards get removed to the tin for another game.)
Seems easier to keep the deck to the right of or abive the machine engine so you can place new cards to the left and you don't have to slide anything over lol
As a game designer, the balance of asthetics and gamplays here is truly inspirational! I think the best word to describe Doom Machine is "elegant" - not a word I could use for most board games large or small! I could see the 2 player working even more smoothly with an expansion, so players need to share dice rolls and pool resources to defeat what is basically a double Doom Machine card. Thank you so much for designing such a wonderful, elegant game! 💯🤯
I own this game, and I love it. I even bought one for my brother. I enjoy the theme, it's easy to learn and play, and it has a small footprint. which is a great change from so many other games I have. Some games are portable, but once you're out and about, there's no place big enough to spread out and play.
love the game and the quality of the cards. it would have been cool if the cards when side by side connected visually so that it looks like each part is building on to the other. minor issue and just a observation. i take it travelling all the time.
Thank you for clarifying where you get the extra up to 5 yellow dice from I was unclear on that or may have missed it in the rules. My only other question is the purpose and effect of the machine tracking card. Does the increase in that track change something? As far as I can tell it has no function.
Hello, im new to this kind of games and some things not entirely clear. when i using utility slots, can i reroll 1-1-1 dice one by one if i want, or i have "only one rerolling move" per turn and have to reroll all 3(or 2) in the same move ?
7:09 hey I thought that thought spinner die had 3 pips until 5:58, where does this 4 come from? ok so it represents damage i did... what happens when i damage a machine card with a 1 pip?
My Hitpoint Tracking cad has only 2 dice modifier and 2 reroll Utility slots, instead of 3 of each like in this video. (I ordered my Doom Machine game on Sep. 15 from The Game Crafter after the fist batch was printed and sent out. So I guess I got the second batch). Oh wait! I was looking at my P&P version. The actual Tin version has 3 of each just like in the video.
All editions of Doom Machine have a double sided player tracking card - the A side has a few more slots on it for rerolls, shields and modifiers. The B side has less - so in either case you should be all set! :)
When a part's die would move onto a darkened square on any card, it instead loops back and lands on the initial starting die slot. The track is essentially a loop, but some are longer or shorter. The same goes for cards that have no darkened slots -- if a dice would move to the end of the track (and off the track), it just loops back around to the beginning. Hope that helps! :)
hi Nathan, there are some vidoe of yoru game ''DEAD MACHINE GODS''? I see the game in tabletop simulator but without a video explaining, i don't know how to play :( a big hug!
Just got mine in the mail today.
I've got to say, I wish all games had a straightforward and easy to understand tutorial like you've made here.
Note: during setup: It's actually 9 remaining cards that get placed face down onto the Doom Core. My bad!
more precisely: after laying the 3 cards, the doom core deck should have 6 cards not counting the doom core card itself.

Thank you! For a sec I thought I was missing a card😅

I am 100% on board with this. Brilliant work. I'm off to pledge.

Received my machines today! The tin, cards and dice all look great! Well done!
Came in the mail yesterday and played today. Your video is a very good How To. Game is fun with stressful decisions. Well done, Nathan.
Best tin game of all time imo👍
I love this game! The art, the replayability, and simplicity are all on-point

. . . such a great game! Any chance we'll see a game mat with card layouts and your amazing art for DM on TGC some day?
I typed a fuzz pedal demo and discovered this, thank you, I found a new game to share with friends.
And, did you guys enjoy this game when you got it?
@@kobusbrits3523 Yes !

Excellent and clear explanation. I received the game today and can't wait to give it a go.
Amazing game! I just got mine a week ago. More power to you!🙌

Great tutorial! I wish all game instructions were as clear. Looking forward to getting my order! =)
This looks super cool... I wish there was a version of TGC in the UK.

Will there also be a German release soon?
When you cycle your die back to the beginning, do you keep the same die health or it goes back to its original health?
Keep the same die health.

what happens when sentience/power is at max and i still have machine part cards that on their turn add to sentience/power
what do the 2 black squares do eg logic mainframe? when you get to the first dark square you cycle back so how would you ever land on the second one ?

Is there anywhere to purchase this game now?
Sure thing! www.thegamecrafter.com/games/doom-machine1
@nathanmeunier570 Thank-you!
Mine just arrived….
here I thought you can only hit each part once...ugh, man I made this game harder than it should be.

One question: the yellow dice can be modified or only the black dice? Thanks!
Any dice you roll can be modified, as long as there are unused utility slots left. :)
