- This is just a quick look at four camp stoves, Optimus 8R and the 2 Primus 8R and a Soviet Russian clone of a 8R stove. Again I am new when it comes to these types of camp stoves. But, a stove is just a stove. There is lots of information on the internet about these stoves some fact and maybe some fiction. LOL I first seen a similar camp stoves on Sean's UA-cam channel, shovelhead8. You can check out his channel here.

More information please Google and or visit UA-cam for your pleasure. Please note that I will only be burning White Gas in these stoves so that I can get a clean burn.

excellent collection - thank you for sharing!
Thanks, and your welcome.
Nice video my friend
Thanks. Have yourself a good weekend.
Dang Daniel that puppy is amazing!!! Mint condition 😲
You did a excellent job of cleaning them up.
I bet you could go to a automotive paint store and they could mix ya up a rattle can of exact match paint for them if ya wanted.
That stainless one is sure a beauty. I guess it catches my eye because it’s different
You sure got an Awesome Collection going there 🤩👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@@dreamcreationsadventures Thanks Donna
@@dreamcreationsadventures Yeah that could very well be an idea in regards to matching up the paint. Yes the Soviet Union one does look good, burns well too.
They did come to me in great shape. Now I think I need to cook or boil something and see how long a tank of fuel last. Thanks for dropping by Donna. Have yourself a good weekend.
Your Russian stove is nicer than mine. I should get a repair kit. Pump is cool. You got some good buys. I ran my Russian stove in the middle of the winter with no pump. Thank you for the shout-out, Daniel. Stay safe and stay warm
Used ones cleaned up real nice, now you can drain them and clean again lol. I kinda like the looks of brass tanks more than the stainless. I’m guessing the heat shield moves so you can warm the tank / fuel in colder weather also build its own pressure. Ok Daniel now slap a pan on one and cook us up something 👍🏻
Matt they do look good don't they, the brass sure cleaned up well. This winter I'll be testing the burn that's for sure. LOL Cooking, I'll do that. I just came back today from our Archery Deer hunt. Seen over 20. Three nice 8 pointers and two good size 6s. They were having a square dance just outside my shooting range of 40 yards LOL They won't be dancing long come rifle season.
@@danielcharbonneau222 haha I hear ya, I just got in myself. We’re not allowed rifles in Ohio. They have a shotgun week and a couple muzzle loader days. I only hunt with bow anymore.
Very nice stoves Dan. Thanks for showing us how they function. Take care.
Hey Quinn, your welcome thanks for dropping by.
Под каждым видео с русскими вещами у иностранцев должен быть комментарий на русском языке) в СССР это примус называли - "смерть туриста". Настоящее название - ПТ-1 (Примус Туриста модель 1). У вас хорошая коллекция, удачи вам!
Under each video with russian things in foreigners, russian should have a comment in Russian language) in the USSR this stove was called - "the death of a tourist". The real name is PT-1 (Primus Tourist model 1). You have a nice collection, good luck to you!
This is good to know Thanks.
Don't they look pretty all lit up at night. Awesome collection of stoves Dan.
The older Optimus is the 8, it doesn't have the built in valve cleaner and going by the olive green colour it's probably the military one.
The Soviet one should have a date stamped on the instructions and it will be an early '70's to mid '80's.
There are some that were made in the late '90's onwards for export and they have instructions in multiple language's.
Thank you very much for your information, it helps a great deal. Also thanks for dropping in and leaving a comment well appreciated. Have your self a good day.
