I agree completely. I also drive a 2018 Honda Accord, and have to admit that Honda dropped the ball BIG TIME with this new Accord. It looks terrible. The Camry is also a good car, but never liked the look it has had in the previous generations. This new Camry actually looks good, and better than the new Accord.

The 2018-2022 the 10th gen accords are awesome I agree Toyota wins in the new generation. Accord try to do too much, they should have taken this concept and made it a different model. Toyota has Camry Corolla Avalon Honda has Civic Accord And this car should have been rebranded as something else and they should have kept the Accord on the same track it was on in the last generation
Gen 8 Accord was the best. Largest accord ever with the best 2.4 liter naturally aspirated engine. Got 350k miles out of it. Good luck with the new ones
8th and 9th gen accords are peak. my friend used to have a 2008 accord coupe (5 speed, super fun car for only having 160hp), and made it to 220k before some high iq guy ran a stop sign and got rear ended by my friend lol. i have a 2014 accord coupe, 120k miles going strong, and i love it to death. no issues other than basic upkeep (timing belt, wheel bearings, brakes). looks pretty modern on the interior when you compare it to other 2014 vehicles from say kia, or subaru. hell, ive had someone think my car was a 2018 😹
@@savethemanuals1597 i have the v6 version haha, timing belt is to be replaced every 100k. did it all myself in my dad’s garage last december. my mom does have the 2.4, and its still recommended to replace the chain every 100k. interval maaaay be a little undercutting the life of a belt / chain, however id rather be safe than have my valves go thru the pistons because the timing jumped 😅
Driving a decade old Corolla that still purrs like new and makes 31mpg. Only thing ive had to replace were factory coils, a starter, battery, and wheels.
Why wouldn’t you compare the XSE trim level to the accord this isn’t apples to apples at all the Camry is super luxurious you just have to go with an xle or XSE trim level to compare properly. I like the Camry IMO better than the accord and it’s more HP and better MPG no brainer IMO number 1 selling car in the sedan industry hands down for a reason.
I hope honda brings back the 10th gen styling. The 2022 accord was probably the most stylish accord ever and it also had very nice engine setups ive yet to meet a person that says 2023 accords are an improvement
Stop kidding yourself, the ergonomics of Toyotas has always been subpar compared to Hondas. I haven't yet sat in a Honda seat that felt uncomfortable. Toyotas? About half their lineup is undrivable after 30 minutes because of absolutely horrible seats making your legs go numb. Literally both interiors are completely made out of plastic regardless lol, not sure why you think one has more plastic than the other.

Also, every crv iv sat in(more experience with those than accords) has been wildly uncomfortable compared to a rav4 or a forester for that matter. I'd take the camry over the Accord all day. The Accord also gets closer to 35mpg in practice(I just had someone buy one over an Outback because they drive 20k mi+ /yr and they are immensely disappointed. These engines would be in the sports car territory in Europe.. Where our 14-year-old 320d with its 181hp, 380Nm turbo diesel glory still turns heads on the highway..
They are both nice and great cars. The Camry is an updated styling version of the already nice styling. The Camry has a performance edge, but the Accord is more sleek and refined. I previously liked the Camey SE/XSE, but I woukd go for the Accord now, if I didn't like the 2025 Civic Sport Touring Hybrid Hatchback more. But I'm ptobably hetting an HR-V Sport, but if I get a second car, I would get the Civic mentioned. But I would get the Accord if I wanted a bigger car.

If you own or thinking about purchasing a 2023 or 2024 11th generation Honda Accord...Beware. The gas line, brake lines and evap lines are plastic and are not fully protected by Sheilds, Guards. These cars have about a 14 inch section were these lines are exposed to road hazards. I had something hit these pipes, one was cut almost completely through, others severely damaged. The repair bill at the Honda dealership is over $7,000.00. I reported this to American Honda as I feel this could have been prevented had lines been metal or at minimum run behind a protective cover. These undercarriage on these cars are almost completely covered by shields, guards, you even have to remove the skid plate to change oil, filter but Honda decides to leave this section of crucial pipes non protected from road hazards. Honda has refused to take any responsibility for not providing a guard which would prevented such damage. I could have lost my brakes and or a fire started due to damage occurring.
The Accord looks so much better. But the previous generation Accord has a much better interior. Same with the camry. Both also got better MPG in previous generations. So, the older gen for better is both overall

Toyota hasn't solved their oil consumption issues that started in the early 2000s. The Hondas K20 is a proven engine, probably the most desirable 4 cylinder in general next to a K24. The Mitsubishi 4G63 can handle lots of boost, but it makes less horsepower than a K20 at the same given boost, so mod for mod it always loses. Personally I wouldn't have either one in a hybrid. You'll be lucky if the battery lasts 10 years, then by that time the cost to replace it exceeds the value of the vehicle. You'd have to be pretty stupid to buy a hybrid with the intent to keep it foreseeably. Then again some people believe they're going to own a single tesla for the rest of their lives, so critical thinking isn't our strongsuit as a society
The interior of the accord is fantastic, but that body style and that low power rating will not last. Even the Prius gets 220 horse power. HONDA needs to fire somebody immediately.
Camry 0-60 in 6.8 sec, Accord 0-60 in 6.5 sec. Both are more than adequate for the segment. If you need to accelerate any faster, consider getting a sports car rather than a family commuter - anyone trying to compare HP at this point is missing the entire point of economy sedans.

Both of them use cvt transmission I’m kinda worry about the cvt
ECVT on the Honda not belt driven, less parts shouldn’t have any of the issues other low quality CVT’s have

The Mitsubishi 4G63 can handle lots of boost, but it makes less horsepower than a K20 at the same given boost, so mod for mod it always loses. Personally I wouldn't have either one in a hybrid. You'll be lucky if the battery lasts 10 years, then by that time the cost to replace it exceeds the value of the vehicle. You'd have to be pretty stupid to buy a hybrid with the intent to keep it foreseeably. Then again some people believe they're going to own a single tesla for the rest of their lives, so critical thinking isn't our strongsuit as a society

The interior of the accord is fantastic, but that body style and that low power rating will not last. Even the Prius gets 220 horse power. HONDA needs to fire somebody immediately.
Camry 0-60 in 6.8 sec, Accord 0-60 in 6.5 sec. Both are more than adequate for the segment. If you need to accelerate any faster, consider getting a sports car rather than a family commuter - anyone trying to compare HP at this point is missing the entire point of economy sedans.
