Killing H*tler was a bad idea for the Allies as it would just create a martyr and invigorate the Germans to fight more while putting Himmler in charge. The guy who was even more extreme than Hitler, was the leader of the SS, was into some interesting occult stuff, performed rituals in the Sudetenland, and was the guy behind the concentration camps and the "final solution". The assassination plot from within Germany wasn't necessarily a bad idea they knew they needed to get both Himmler and H*tler (and frame others for their deaths) and to seize power in the government institutions. It just didn't work out for them especially with the meeting room where the bomb went off being moved from the bunker where the blast would've killed everyone.
America allied with a country that killed 10 million people over the country that had some "racist" laws (the same that America had) and killed a couple of thousands communists who tried to overthrow their government 🤡🙄

It's not as insane of a question as one might think. It confuses a decent amount of people because it is such an insanely unreasonable thing to do given the circumstances. You would expect them to be put to work or something for some sort of benefit for a Germany that is fighting a war for its survival against huge odds, but instead they just eliminate those potential workers its so unreasonable that it doesn't make any logical sense.
It's hard for a lot of people to understand that the level of hatred was so much that the reason and logic was overwhelmed and they were just killed simply for the sake of it. Not used as a labor force or worked to death (a lot were, but by no means the majority) but just straight up wiped from the earth. That's pretty scary to think about how people are capable of that and it's not a nice conclusion to have to draw when we like to think how reasonable and rational we are as a species.
