legends say that if you discover the other 4 pikmin in backwards order waluigi will come down from the heavens and remove the electric gate object from the game's code, making true yellowless possible
Pikmin don't get electrocuted by an electric gate until they try to attack it. Since these whites were carrying the Conifer Spire, they couldn't try to attack the electric gate, so they didn't get electrocuted.
I'm wondering if it's at all possible to do this on all treasures, or which ones you can't do it on, ruling out all special abilities like this (Electric for Yellows, 1 = 10 for Purples, etc.). I imagine not all can be skipped (specifically any Purple Pikmin related ones...but that's forgivable, because purple is awesome :P ), but I'm wondering what can be skipped though (and yes, I guess the Decorative Goo would be reopened due to this because you'd need Blues...but I can take one barrier like this being skipped like this) but preferably all special abilities would be skipped, essentially stripping Pikmin of something that makes them unique (...okay, I just made it sound really bad with that last bit, lol; my bad).
Not just with Red Pikmin necessarily, just...without using the respective Pikmin. Like limiting yourself from using Yellows in this case or, in the very least, not taking down the Electric Gate.
Ok sure, I see what you mean. Well, I think every treasure that's normally carried through water can be collected without blues by chaining together cutscenes so that non-blues can carry the treasure through the water during the cutscenes. All buried treasures require whites. The 3 treasures with weight greater than 100 require purples. Lastly, only Optical Illustration and Conifer Spire require yellows at this point. Oh, and of course, reds are useless (rip).
No problem! By the way, the question is a bit more interesting when you allow Pikmin types to be used without unlocking them. This way, you can collect buried treasures in Awakening Wood by "borrowing" a white from WFG 3, you can obtain Optical Illustration by forcing wild yellows into their Onion from entering Submerged Castle, you can collect both globes by borrowing purples, etc.
I thought of this exact question as well :) Would there be a way to change the waypoint like you did with Utter Scrap in VoR? I wonder if you got it at just the right spot jolted to the back, went to the next day to lose the charge, and tried to carry it, if the Pikmin would take it down the narrow passage? And what about the small treasure behind the gate in PP? Has it been confirmed that that can charge out?
I've just had the glitch when you get locked out of moving while doing the onion replica skip. I've uploaded it buy was wondering if it was a common occurrence or just my luck :)
It happens about 50% of the time when you fall into the void while sleeping with the napsack. If it happens again, you can switch partners if you don't wake up the locked leader, but you won't be able to switch back to the locked leader (unless the other leader dies).
On an unrelated note, my screen has displayed a black screen and froze while doing the thing when you enter the next sublevel while collecting a treasure. I'm not sure why it's done this this time and not the other times but oh well :)
UPDATE: HSS0136 has found a way to collect the Conifer Spire without yellows! ua-cam.com/video/WjMpxNyPZvo/v-deo.html If you're wondering how HSS0136 got Conifer Spire in the spot at the start of the video, be sure to watch this other video from HSS0136: ua-cam.com/video/jJ9ITk0oTao/v-deo.html
Would it be possible to use Nap Sack to push it towards the other direction? Maybe if you push it that way enough, the Pikmin will be forced to take it the other way around.

How did the White Pikmin not get electrocuted?
Pikmin don't get electrocuted by an electric gate until they try to attack it. Since these whites were carrying the Conifer Spire, they couldn't try to attack the electric gate, so they didn't get electrocuted.

I'm not sure I understand, are you wondering how many treasures can be collected with the only red Pikmin unlocked?

@@grassdigger8695 Thanks. I've tried many times on the Wii version but never had it happen was so put off :)
Huh, weird. I'm 99% sure that the glitch works the same on Wii, so I'm not sure why you had trouble with it.
@@grassdigger8695 Strange. Second time on GameCube but never in many times tried on the Wii 🤔

Mister Mike Doesn't pushing objects by laying down only work in the first game?
Correct me if I'm wrong.
That is correct
The time it takes to lay down is so long in Pikmin 2. I don't think it could be efficient even if it did work.
