Volkswagen TDI straight pipe exhaust

- The sound of a straight pipe welded on my 1.4 TDI VW Polo. The rear muffler/backbox was cut out and replaced with length of 2¼ inch stainless steel. This is also known as a mufflerectomy.
This was to remove restriction/backpressure in the exhaust at low cost, without making the sound uncomfortably loud. - Авто та транспорт
These 1.4 tdis, 3.0 v6 tdi and 4.2 v8 tdis are the best sounding vag tdi engines in my opinion
And v12 6.0 tdi 5.0 v10 tdi
do you have any issues with the car getting too dirty with soot from this? both body and chassis. cos i kinda wanna get this done if i get a Fabia Estate 1.4 TDI next year but that's the one thing that's putting me off. or do you know how to retrofit a DPF? LOL
what is the original discharge line diameter of the 1.4 tdi amf?
Did you cut out the catalysator as well?
Is 2.25” the OD of the original pipe?
Must have got upto at least 70!
RIP Polo, last seen at 178k miles. What killed her in the end?

i have a 3 cylinder diesel polo as a rental car and i must say, im amazed!!! it pulls after 2k really good at First and Second Gear! yesterday i had almost on any traffic light wheelapin at rain! at 180kmh is not bad for such an little car. how much hp does it have?
This was about 105 bhp / 80kw. Great for a car this small and light.

I own a VAG/SEAT with the same engine great little engine in a small car, like you said around 2-2.2k that little turbo works a treat. Ive kept up with and tailed/lost many bm's audis mercs on twisties

Sadly not - that job was more than we were ready for. Might be doing it soon to the Audi - 3.0 tdi decatted? Could be good!
