Turbo diesel sound hit different 🔥
This sounds naughty, love the dual tips 🔥
Cheers bro 👊
Hi mate can u remember how much the labour was to get downpipe fitted?
Sorry for the late reply, I couldn't find the receipt, turns out it was just stuck to the paper infront of it lol. I got an Egr blanking kit fitted the same time I got the downpipe done, so labour came to £400 on the dot
@@RCS_716 cheers Yh had mine all fitted now mine was 470£, clutch has already started slipping tho which is fun🤣
🤣 the clutch must have seen the downpipe upgrade and got jealous
What size downpipe? Edit: what company did u get the downpipe from thanks
2.5' inch from darkside developments, I've got a link to it in the description 👍
Hi mate got another question about the downpipe, seen a couple companies make downpipes for 1.6tdi but they are advertised as for a golf mk6 not a polo. Just wondering if you got anything information on wether that would fit the polo or not
This one is for the polo
I've got a link to the downpipe in the description, if you click it you'll see the cars that it's compatible with 👍
What down pipe did you use ?
There's a link to it in the video description :)
what tuning kit did you use for the bumpers and side skirts?
Could you elaborate on this a bit please because I don't understand the question at the moment
where did you buy the rear and front bumpers
I bought them both on ebay, the front bumper is the WRC bumper and the rear is a GTI style bumper.
The front bumper always pops up on ebay but I haven't seen the rear bumper ever since I bought mine
@@RCS_716 ok thank you 👍
Hi, I've got myself a 1.6tdi polo getting booked in for a remap with a dpf delete and the egr blanked off, for this sound did you get the cat deleted too or is this how it sounds when the cats still on?
This is with no cats
Is your car a diesel or petrol? This sounds amazing!!
Thanks bro, diesel all the way 💪
@@RCS_716that's great to know diesels can sound this good mine is also a diesel looking forward to seeing what a backbox delete sounds like 😅
I've heard that with diesel's you have to remove the dpf to get it to make noise so I'm curious as to what a backbox delete would sound like to see if that's true or not
If you do a straight pipe will you have any issues with mot fail mot
I've got one coming up later this year so I guess I'll find out 🤣
Hi mate, are you sure its an exhaust leak? Ive got the same car, mine made that noise on idle then the injectors blew up 2 weeks later. Get it checked to be safe, could be the fuel pump letting debree into the injectors causing blockage.
Yeah, when I went to do my previous MOT they told me it was pretty much falling off and when I finally removed it there was a huge hole in it just before the dpf, at around 2k rpm it sounded like I had a custom Exhaust 🤣
But I have read that these cars have a problem at idle though, but I haven't gotten around to sorting that yet. But it won't hurt to change the fuel filter so I appreciate you letting me know about that.
Try fitting a gtc1549 on it and getting a custom tune 😉
👀 that sounds interesting. I'll have to look into that. It's a good idea
Did it fail MOT? I never really considered straight piping mine as I always thought they were always really strict with DPF deletes but now I’m starting to
It just depends on where you get your MOT done, your big name brands like Halfords etc will probably fail you but your local in town MOT places will mostlikely allow you. Or if you want to play it safe you can swap the exhaust over every year back to the stock one before the MOT
It's a legitimate MOT failure. Swapping it back to the DPF before your test is the way to do it rather than trying to get an MOT tester to risk his job for you.
I can agree this is the best and safest way to do it
@@RCS_716 would you just get the same garage to do this? And then have them swap it back after?
I want to get this done man, the dpf is a pain in the backside
You'll be so happy once it's gone, it's a stress free life from then on 🤣
Does it still have a particulate filter?
No
Hi is this atraighpipe from turbo back
Yes
Hi mate, sounds mint, how have you managed to get around MOT with this?
I haven't run into any issues with that. But if you do lts a bit tedious but you could swap back to the old exhaust setup before you take it to its MOT then swap it back after.
@@RCS_716okay nice, my MOT is in october so will wait until its done then do it 🤣
Any problems from police ?
Nope, haven't had any issues with the police
Do you know what pipe size you went for ? 2.5inch?
I honestly can't remember which one I when for, but it was mostlikely 2.5
Sorry just saw you wrote on the video 2/2.5 no probs if you wanted the loudest it’s more than likely 2.5 😂 nice upload anyways :)
Thanks bro 🙏
hey mate, car sounds really great. Out of curiosity, what do you do when you need an MOT? Do you have to put the old system back in or do you just know a guy at the mot?
Thanks, when I last got my MOT I had only the downpipe on and it passed so I'll have to see if it will pass with the rest of it straight piped when I go for my next one.
I just take it to a regular MOT place, I don't know a guy.
how did this go ? did is pass ?
hello, your car is really great 👌🏼, is the line tailor-made or do you have a reference where I could buy it?
The line ?
@@RCS_716 exhaust*
From the CAT back was custom made ( just a straight pipe all the way back )
But I did buy the downpipe: www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/dpf-delete-downpipe-for-1-2-1-6-2-0-tdi-cr140-143-mk5-seat-ibiza-polo-audi-a1-and-skoda-fabia.html
@@RCS_716 okay thanks you and watch the diameter of exhaust ?
Funny enough I don't remember which of the two I opted for at the time but it was either 2 or 2.5 inch
what bumper do you fit?
The rear is an unbranded dual exit gti style bumper that I found on ebay a while ago
The front is a wrc bumper
Sorry I can't be more descriptive or give you a specific name for the rear bumper but it was advertised as what I mentioned above.
@@RCS_716 okay thanks, they are really beautiful
MACHINE!!!!
Hehe boi
Hi mate.
I’ve just recently bought myself a downpipe for my 1.6TDI. It’s stage 1 as well (145hp, 315nm).
What sort of performance gains did you get?
Tbh it didn't feel any different in performance. I kept telling myself it feels slightly faster when accelerating but I think I was just saying that to make myself feel better 😅 but it makes the car sound nicer but in terms of performance it didn't really change much for me
@@RCS_716 I’m planning on getting it remapped once the downpipe is on, I’m trying to keep it quiet for now since the police here in Denmark are all over the car community right now😂
Decat downpipes, chiptuned diesels and especially DPF/ EGR deletes can get your car seized and scrapped by the police, unless you want to pay an authorized workshop to make your car standard again if you’re lucky 😂
I'm curious as to the gains you'll see after the remap with the downpipe installed.
Wow, I didn't know it was that strict over there 😳 ngl I'd be too scared to do anything to my car.
@@stegtflaesk Jeg får monteret en 2,5 tommers rent rør samt decat downpipe på min polo 1,6 tdi her i dette måned. Skal nok lige vende tilbage når jeg har fundet ud af effektforøgelsen. :)
Didn’t your insurance go mad about this ?
Nah, just to be safe I put it down as 2 separate mods, downpipe and a catback
@@RCS_716 what did you tell them ? as I am thinking of doing the same setup
@@RCS_716 also what insurance company are you with ?
Greenlight, you can add as many mods as you want for free aslong as it doesn't increase your bhp. If it does then you just gotta pay a little more
where did u get the work done?
At a place called fastlane
Any drop in low end performance due to lack of backpressure?
No, if anything it feels like it has slightly more low end performance
Thanks for the prompt response mate
