Installation of my Garrett GTD1752VRK ball bearing turbo to a 1.4 TDI PD
Followed by a 2.75" catlesss downpipe.
Current setup :
GTD1752VRK, 63.5mm downpipe
FMIC, 57mm aluminium pipes
Darkside CNC Billet G60 Flywheel
Sachs Performance clutch 228mm
02J (02R) JDD gearbox
550cc injectors
4 bar MAP sensor
EGR delete (race pipe)
MAF Delete
Custom big intake (before air filter)
K&N Stock Air Filter
230mm/38mm pistons rear disk brakes
Brembo 312mm high carbon discs with EBC Green Stuff pads

I welded that EGR-Pipe and had better circulation in lower revs with higher air speed. But very nice project. I asume that was a lot of fun.

Hi there same engine and gearbox as you but in an Audi A2, was the clutch and flywheel a direct fit? Or was modification needed as I was always told that the clutch and flywheel in the 1.4’s were smaller diameter than the regular 02J boxes so the G60 flywheel wouldn’t fit. Thanks
Hi, yes the clutches for 1.4 exist in 216 and 220mm sizes. if you put a JDD gearbox (02R) or a 02J, the G60 flywheel will fit along with a 228mm clutch but not with the original 02T gearbox (BNM engine). However it will work with the stock gearboxes of BNV, AMF, ATL and BHC engines. If you have the spacer between the gearbox and the engine, you'll need to remove it and change the engine mount. I noticed in my gearbox that the pressure plate rubbed a little bit near the input shaft.
Hi my friend. Did you feel the smell of exhaust gas and excessive smoke by removing the catalytic converter? I’m unsure whether to fit a Darkside downpipe (without catalytic converter) or a 200 CPSI metallic catalyst…
Hello mate, not gonna lie, it's not terrible but it definitely smells specially with a cold engine. I even made my downpipe so the stock cat can be reinstalled in a few minutes and for now it's back on the car. There is no excessive smoke though

did you renew balancer chain before this upgrade? i also thinking about stage 1 remap but i dont thrust balancer chain.
Yes I changed the tensioner and the chain
@@CarRemap did you feel any diference before and after the new chain? vibration decrease or increase? i have 1.4 tdi bnv engine idle vibration increase slowly during last 10 years 225k km on dash. i wonder chain stretch can cause balancer weight misalignment and lead to increased vibration.
Hey, im new to tuning diesel and i have a question. The injectors you said are 550cc AFR, you mean they are the same injectors that are in 1.9 TDI AFR?
Hello, I don't exactly know what you mean by AFR but yes, they are the same as found in 1.9 TDI PD ASZ, ARL, AVF (038130073AL)

Good job! Why did you leave the original exhaust muffler? Isn't it underpowered for the needs of the engine? I also have a 2006 9N3 1.4 TDI BNM...
Hello, you are right! This might be one more step along with a bigger intake from the airbox.
@@CarRemap You can install a Seat Ibiza Cupra 6L 1.9 TDI 160 HP air intake (cod. 6LL 129 618 / 6LL 129 621). I've installed it.
@@federicolorenzoni245 I made that part by myself, the big restriction is after the airbox to the turbo inlet. Ideally a custom aluminium one should be a great improvement. Tell me if you find a solution for the 1.4
What engine code was it and did you use a vnt turbo or wastegatev
Engine code is BNM 70hp, yes the 1752VRK is a vnt turbo
Can you tell me what year it is? In what year does FAP mount dpf?
Car is from 2008. Eco models like bluemotion have BMS engine which carries a DPF.

Hi, i did nothing special to the intake, except use a bigger intake pipe from outside to the airbox and remove the maf sensor. I guess the vnt of this 1752vrk with the light, billet compressor and ball bearing makes it spool at low rpm and chokes it which makes it flutter.

Thanks mate! Starts to make high torque at 2000 rpm but pulls already at 1500 in high gear.

That's true that turbo is very noisy but I personally like it a lot! And the ball bearing and this gen of turbos make them very robust

increasing a vb gives more horsepower
This is due to the AL injectors not flowing enough and too restrictive intake I guess
