basically the weapon banner of Wuwa is free real estate 😏 instead of rolling for basic character banner which is RNG.. better throw everything on basic weapon banner those regular pulls.... raising character is pain in the a**.. you lvl them, the skill and echo, while weapon is a 1 time lvl and have a huge impact in your account
I manage to save a few pulls for Yinlin's weapon banner since I got cosmic ripples on my first 10 pulls. The amount of attack it gives compensates for the lack of crit and I'm not mad about it. Now I have more funds for Geshu Lin.
Managed to pull the two 5* weapons currently along with Jiyan, Calcharo and Yinlin with all the freebies we've been given so my thought process is Emerald of Genesis is top of my list for a second/third team followed by the guns to put on team 2 Mortefi. Everyone has been pretty fortunate and eventually once I finish my guaranteed Jianxin I reckon weapons will be prioritised for a bit until I have one of each.
I got Calcharo and Jiyan on the same 10 pull, got Verina from novice (sill have the voucher and the selector untouched yet) so I'm spending all my Lustrous tides on weapon banner (not interested in the remaining 5 star standard characters). I already got Lustrous Razor for my Calcharo the other day, now I'll be pulling for the pistol for my S4 Mortefi, next I'll go for the Sword for My Rover, I'll get the rectifier for my Yinlin when I reach level 45. I loveeeeeee the weapon banner in WuWa, at least it's guaranteed. It's a much needed departure from Genshin's hellish weapon banner. I'm only going to pull from standard weapon banner and not the standard character banner.

Emerald of genesis is a must pull or pick from 45 union level box, i got jianxin from the beginner banner, verina from garrenteed, calcharo from free 5 star selector. Then i pulled emerald at 35 at 80 sadly. Then i got verdict summit on the 3rd pull. So im pretty set. Im thinking of getting another emerald for changli /danjin or 5 star weapon for yinlin but i dont want to pull for stringless and saving for jinhsi and changli.
Im UL 44 and im close to get my 4th 5star weapon i got the abyssal surge when i got the 10 pulls from the mile stone did 1 pulls and got it 😂 i didnt built up pity when I got the sword on hard pity 😅
I would say go for the characters if you manage to get all the standard weapons. Only reason I would go for the weapons again would be to get a copy of the crit sword/gun in case you have double sword/gun users in one team comp
Hi. Im aiming to get Yinlin C6. She is my favourite character and a big reason why i started the game. So far i have her weapon and C1. Also Im planning to be f2p as it feels like I earn my characters and not just buy them. What do you think about investing a lot of resources into 1 character?
Yinlin being a hybrid character will last longer than others, so investing a lot in her would be fine. Better characters will drop sooner or later but it’s Yinlin, anything for her XD

It's generally a good analysis, but the claim that 5* weapons will stay relevant longer than 5* characters doesn't make much sense. Basically every signagure weapon powercreeps a regular 5* weapon. Sure, Jiyan's sword isn't necessarily better than Lustrous Razor on Calcharo, but it's way better on Jiyan and likely other Broadblade users. But stringmaster is prettt much striclty better than 5* amplifier. That's why regular 5* weapons will get powercrept as soon as you get 5 signature weapons. On the other hans, 5* characters will likely be relevant much longer, as there are essentially 9 slots on 3 teams, and many characters have unique roles that you need in certain scenarios, so technically you can have a roster of 12+ characters and use all of them occasionally. On the other hand, when it comes to weapons, you will only be using 3 best weapons you have for every team. And unless your team consits of 3 sword users, for example, you will likely use different signature weapons (once you get a few). The only 5* weapon that is pretty much must have us the sword, as there are many sword users who all work well in the same team (Havoc MC, Danjin, Sanhua, etc.), so even if you get sword signature weapon in the future, you will still be able to use Emerald of Genesis on your sub dps unit in double sword teams. Considerinf that we are getting a 5* weapon on level 45, I'd recommend getting 1 or at most 2 weapons from the weapon gacha, and spend the rest of the pulls ob character banner. If you need an offensive Rectifier, Stringmaster is a much better option, and the Gauntlets aren't super exciting either. Pistol and Broadblade are good options too, but Pistol will only make a noticeable difference if you are using Chixia as main DPS, and Broadblade is only good if you skipped Jiyan's signature (and plan to skip Jinshi's too), and if you don't plan to get the Mastery Pass. Personally, I've stopped after getting 1 sword from gacha and 1 pistol from the box. I'm considering getting another sword, but I'll probably just wait for the 1.1, as I think we are getting a sword user there.

If you really don't wanna wait i'd pick the Rectifier for Encore which is the best DPS from the permanant pull and who will drop eventually from lost 50/50s. Pistols are also alright if you currently run Mortefi or plan to. Otherwise just save until you settle on an upcoming Character if you don't plan to pull on limited weapons to focus on Characters _(which is optimal given that regular pulls are best spent on the regular weapon banner, and with PRF weapons only being a slight upgrade in most cases)_
The problem is that standard 5* are pretty much equal to BP R5 weapons and upcoming limited 5* weapons are almost 30% better than standard 5* weapons. It's gonna get worse in the future. I rather get a full cast of characters now then get Jianxin after 3 years like in Genshin I got Mona.
If you look at the limited banner weapons, their substats are extremely higher than the standard 5 star weapons. Yinlin weapon will probably get 36% crit substat when an emerald will get 24.3%ish crit rate. The weapons are not terrible but depending on the situation I would rather pull limited banner weapons and use the green pulls trying to get 5 star character dupes

Nah. In that case the Emerald specifically has a lower substat roll because it has higher main stat (600 attack vs 500 at 90). It has nothing to do with limited VS permanent pool. Passive of limited weapons are the upgrade. But even then at R0 the upgrade is very marginal (10-15%) and definitely not worth the Asterite over limited characters given the value of the standard weapon banner. The gap gets bigger with more weapon merges, but that's really whale territory anyway and absolutely not good value overall If you really wanna get picky, an R5 Standard banner weapon you'd build over time would also be a strict upgrade to an R0 limited, while costing you basically 0 Asterite
did 160 pulls for jyan and got 2 calcharos dont even know why i still play scum gacha games but this one at least has a really fun gameplay and had the lucky to get 2 yinlins and im enjoying this one but gacha sucks

In my alt acc I pulled yinlins weapon with 5 free pulls we got, idk what to do with that acc i hate encore play style and not interested in yinlin
