you dont need a 3rd support since you get one shot anyway in the endgame content, and we have 2 healers already and even in the tower you only "need" the supports for the Boss stages and you already can do that since 2 are enough for all 4 boss stages and we already have more supports with Jianxin for example but most player undervalue shields anyway... Don't get me wrong, shorekeeper looks nice and stuff but she is not a must pull to clear content.

For me: Jiyan's weapon. It's the key to reaching his damage ceiling. He's also my main, and I already built his team; my Mortefi (S6) is a beast, and I already have Baizhi built, and Verina is almost built. If you play on mobile, and don't have Jiyan, I would say he is a solid choice. I know people dunk on him for being brain dead to play and they're right. But it's not a bad thing. The simple fact is he is easy to use, which counts for a lot. All you do is (1) Verina's resonance liberation and skill, (2) Mortefi's resonance liberation and skill, and then (3) Jiyan's liberation and then (4) keep Jiyan on field and hold down attack to parry, crowd control and kill everything on the screen. Boring? I guess. Effective? Absolutely. Ease of use goes a long way on mobile. One comment on his weapon - it's great for more than Jiyan. It's Jiyan's BIS, it's Jinhsi's and Calcharo's second BIS. It's a great stat stick for Taoqi. I don't think it's fair to call it "niche", especially considering we don't have a ton of great 4* options to use in its place. The only disclaimer I add is that if you have e.g. Jinhsi but not Jiyan, the better pull is Jinhsi's weapon because it's better for her and Jiyan's second BIS.
I have Jiyan but I'm too damn lazy to build him one of the reasons is First, I'm a simp, I like using Changli more, yes Changli does a little less dmg but she's hot asf Second, I'm lazy Third, it feels so gay to walk around the map using Jiyan lol, idk but Jiyan gives me that vibes Fourth, idk he's effects is not that good..I hope WuWa gives him a rework because his ult animation looks garbage

I mean when you main someone you need to look at them all the time, and I'd rather look at Changli too. :) What I don't like about Jiyan's liberation is that depending on which state you're in - which animation he's either going to start by summoning the dragon (the standing one which looks boss) or summoning the dragon and doing AOE damage (the jumping one which looks dumber but does ... well, actual damage.)

I'm so glad I have Jiyan so I can get his weapon instead. At least with weapons, I know how much I need at max pity. It might mean that I won't be able to get Shorekeeper, but I'm willing to take that risk.

160 max for both weapons, Shorekeeper would be guaranteed after another 160 in the case you lose your 50/50. If you wanted shorekeepers weapon it would be another 80. A total of 400 wishes to get all of this guaranteed. Keep in mind it’s random. And with update 1.3 we should be getting a lot of astrites from events and quest. To feel safe I’d say have at least 100+ wishes before 1.3 , good luck to you!

Kuro will give some free pulls for each patch, so you'll need around 25k astrites for all three. Maybe less if you're lucky. I suggest prioritising getting Jiyan's weapon if you already have Jiyan since it might be a long time till he gets another rerun if you're low on astrites.
Jiyan is really good. Dont sleep on him. Hyper consistent against bosses and mobs. I value him more than my Jinshi for his QoL. I love his combos with mortefi
I have played both for quite some time, for me Jinhsi more comfortable both for Overworld and for endgame content. Nut Jiyan is definitely comfortable enough to consider pulling for him. Bigeest issue for me with Jinhsi - she is too splashy and hard to see through many of her attacks, this especially feels terrible in coop, but at the same time it is funny to see huge dragon in coop during her ultmate
Seeing how any time I play the game supports, especially healers, carry me through the early to even late game, I’m going for my Rimuru like Waifu. (Also why wouldn’t I as someone who loves her design?)

I have like 170 pulls now, farmed basically almost all the content in both exploration and events. I guess Shorekeeper is really good, I'll go for her and probably her weapon if it's good. I don't like Jiyan that much, not because he's simple to use but I feel like almost everyone do play him and feels like too common. I'm enjoying myself with Sanhua Encore and Verina for now 😊
Going for Shorekeeper and maybe her sig. Didn't get Jiyan the first time and probably will skip again. I like his character and normally go for the dragon boys in other gachas, but idk. I already have Jinhsi, Changli, and soon Yao, so maybe the thirst for more DPS isn't there right now. Geshu would get pulled in a heartbeat tho

it is not stacked at all. It's just shopekeeper being another great support. Jiyan is fairly good dps but unless its another jinhsi dps lvl, then it's not stacked at all.
Jinhsi is abnormal lmao, Shorekeeper being the best support in the game and Jiyan arguably being the second best dps seems pretty stacked to me but fairs 👍
I've been playing since launch but haven't gotten Mortefi. He's the only 4 star I don't have because I just haven't gotten lucky and have maxed out several other 4 stars. Also what Mortefi Upgrade? was there a leak or this just speculation? Even if there is a 5 star version of Mortefi there is no guarantee he will fill the same role as the 4 star, unless maybe the upgrade is like the augment cores in Honkai Impact 3rd.
For dolphins like me, it's better to invest on hard carries. There are plenty of DPS units in the game, yes, but they're not as good as Jiyan and Jinhsi. With those 2, you will have an easy time clearing TOA, provided that you bring the proper sub dps. Shorekeeper on the otherhand requires a good carry for her to shine. She only becomes the priority if 1.) you're bad at dodging and parrying, 2.) you already have an S1R1 Jiyan, 3.) you like boobs.
completely disagree in part of "only becomes the priority". She will be a slightly better version of Verina and Verina is BiS in EVERY team now, so we will have second Verina to have 2 teams with BiS support
@@vladys001 That's true, Shorekeeper can be used in place of Verina in the higher stages of TOA for faster clearing. But her performance will only be as good as her teammates'. I'm one of the very few players who don't have Verina (I made the mistake of choosing Calcharo with the ticket only to get him again in the free 50 pulls), but I can easily 26/30 my TOA and I've defeated all Hologram bosses. I don't have sequences on my 5* characters, I do have their signature weapons though, and I got lucky with echoes. If someone like me gets Shorekeeper, TOA will be so much easier to clear because I already have elite units that I can pair her with. But for the players who don't have Jiyan and Jinhsi, or only have Jinhsi, they will benefit more in getting Jiyan and his signature weapon. He can open more doors for dolphins and F2Ps who are always hungry for astrites.
@@viggo6607 I have Verina and she makes teams noticeably better with minimal field time, which is based on your Variation weapon copies and levels. I couldn't clear all holograms with my 70 and later lvl80 team, and I am still building my artifacts, so maybe will try at 90 now. Already cleared with Jinhsi the purple bird and almost cleared 6th monkey, but she has too many hidden/extra attacks that I can barely see. This is especially difficult with the electro guy - can't kill him even on 4th level, he has too much hp and dmg and very difficult visibility of his attacks. I am closing ToA with 24/30, because of unkillable Scar (barely finish within time limit with my best team, tried different DPSes as well) and Aix seems designed to avoid all close-range attacks, so I hope with Chixia built I will be able to clear them as well. Oh, and Verina is too valuable like my Jinhsi so I keep them for the hardest floors only
Ok, so I got extremely lucky originally, only put about 80 bucks into the game (blessing, pass and some asterite), and was able to pull Jiyan, his weap, and Jinshi c2. I already have Verina, and Encore. Would Zhezhi or Shorekeeper be more worth it to go for?
Weapons are easy to get might take like 30-40 pulls if ur luck isn’t that good and then will always have a bunch of asterite from 1.3 so hopefully enough

@@ahmedessa1614 If you have S6 Mortefi and Verdant Summit, yes, absolutely pull for him. If he gets a dedicated 5* support one day, you can toss your S6 Mortefi to Jinhsi if you don't have Zhezhi.

jinhsi its not the best dps in the game 😅 shes the best only of Nuke Crit Fish speedrun (means that you have to re-start the tower so many times untill u crit 100% of ur skill to reach Jiyan DPS )
So should i go for jiyan since i have calcharo and xiangli yao for main dps which are mid i also got verina for sup anyways which beats all sups and jianxi for resonance liberation damage increase.
If you only want him just for damage remember that your are getting Yao for free so you already have 3 dps. But if you want him cause you like I would say it's worth it bc of the fact that he's the best AoE dps with a lot of cc and free parries. Very easy and comfortable to use

I don't like Jiyan that much, not because he's simple to use but I feel like almost everyone do play him and feels like too common. I'm enjoying myself with Sanhua Encore and Verina for now 😊

Going for Shorekeeper and maybe her sig. Didn't get Jiyan the first time and probably will skip again. I like his character and normally go for the dragon boys in other gachas, but idk. I already have Jinhsi, Changli, and soon Yao, so maybe the thirst for more DPS isn't there right now. Geshu would get pulled in a heartbeat tho

it is not stacked at all. It's just shopekeeper being another great support. Jiyan is fairly good dps but unless its another jinhsi dps lvl, then it's not stacked at all.
Jinhsi is abnormal lmao, Shorekeeper being the best support in the game and Jiyan arguably being the second best dps seems pretty stacked to me but fairs 👍
I've been playing since launch but haven't gotten Mortefi. He's the only 4 star I don't have because I just haven't gotten lucky and have maxed out several other 4 stars.
Also what Mortefi Upgrade? was there a leak or this just speculation? Even if there is a 5 star version of Mortefi there is no guarantee he will fill the same role as the 4 star, unless maybe the upgrade is like the augment cores in Honkai Impact 3rd.

You need 3 DPS characters minimum for this game to clear all content.
For dolphins like me, it's better to invest on hard carries. There are plenty of DPS units in the game, yes, but they're not as good as Jiyan and Jinhsi. With those 2, you will have an easy time clearing TOA, provided that you bring the proper sub dps. Shorekeeper on the otherhand requires a good carry for her to shine. She only becomes the priority if 1.) you're bad at dodging and parrying, 2.) you already have an S1R1 Jiyan, 3.) you like boobs.
completely disagree in part of "only becomes the priority". She will be a slightly better version of Verina and Verina is BiS in EVERY team now, so we will have second Verina to have 2 teams with BiS support
@@vladys001 That's true, Shorekeeper can be used in place of Verina in the higher stages of TOA for faster clearing. But her performance will only be as good as her teammates'.
I'm one of the very few players who don't have Verina (I made the mistake of choosing Calcharo with the ticket only to get him again in the free 50 pulls), but I can easily 26/30 my TOA and I've defeated all Hologram bosses. I don't have sequences on my 5* characters, I do have their signature weapons though, and I got lucky with echoes.
If someone like me gets Shorekeeper, TOA will be so much easier to clear because I already have elite units that I can pair her with. But for the players who don't have Jiyan and Jinhsi, or only have Jinhsi, they will benefit more in getting Jiyan and his signature weapon. He can open more doors for dolphins and F2Ps who are always hungry for astrites.
@@viggo6607 I have Verina and she makes teams noticeably better with minimal field time, which is based on your Variation weapon copies and levels.
I couldn't clear all holograms with my 70 and later lvl80 team, and I am still building my artifacts, so maybe will try at 90 now. Already cleared with Jinhsi the purple bird and almost cleared 6th monkey, but she has too many hidden/extra attacks that I can barely see. This is especially difficult with the electro guy - can't kill him even on 4th level, he has too much hp and dmg and very difficult visibility of his attacks.
I am closing ToA with 24/30, because of unkillable Scar (barely finish within time limit with my best team, tried different DPSes as well) and Aix seems designed to avoid all close-range attacks, so I hope with Chixia built I will be able to clear them as well.
Oh, and Verina is too valuable like my Jinhsi so I keep them for the hardest floors only

Ok, so I got extremely lucky originally, only put about 80 bucks into the game (blessing, pass and some asterite), and was able to pull Jiyan, his weap, and Jinshi c2. I already have Verina, and Encore. Would Zhezhi or Shorekeeper be more worth it to go for?

Weapons are easy to get might take like 30-40 pulls if ur luck isn’t that good and then will always have a bunch of asterite from 1.3 so hopefully enough

jinhsi its not the best dps in the game 😅 shes the best only of Nuke Crit Fish speedrun (means that you have to re-start the tower so many times untill u crit 100% of ur skill to reach Jiyan DPS )

If you only want him just for damage remember that your are getting Yao for free so you already have 3 dps. But if you want him cause you like I would say it's worth it bc of the fact that he's the best AoE dps with a lot of cc and free parries. Very easy and comfortable to use
