    The most impressive thing about this story is that Achilles traveled 7 miles. That is insane. I get pictures of so many different bucks around oct 25th - nov 10th and they're is no telling how far they have traveled after hearing your story about that buck. Crazy.

      Check out the story on the Huff buck in Indiana , when you get a chance . That buck was being hunted hard , in the county south of where the kid killed it at ! Everyone was talking about it in Jennings county and he shot it in Decatur . It was so far from it's "home area" , they were thinking it got hit by a car and was just out wondering around . Like he was lost ? But Huff said he didn't have any wounds on it ! Pretty cool story altogether really .

      It's really not THAT crazy. A deer could travel that far without too much effort.

      @@mattwilkie9713very true but the county where it was killed at is unbelievably dense. The fact it consistently traveled that far & didn’t find the front bumper of a car or another hunter is crazy. Let alone being injured

    Amazing that he put in all that effort into trying to nurse Charlie back to health, went the extra mile for him to recuperate & recover. All that work & effort so that he could kill him at a later date.
    Guess it's not that different from raising any farm animal - you feed them, spent a lot of time & money on them so that they can be harvested later on.

    I think Lee would be successful regardless of hunting style, location, etc. However, hunting within shouting distance of people's houses just doesn't excite me regardless of the caliber of animal. The square mile grids of public I hunt feel phony and unatural

    “ see this one here I saw the kids hand feeding corn in the backyard and I just knew I could get him easy”
    “ ahh and this one here I saw Karen posting pictures on facebook of him in her yard every afternoon for three years got permission from the neighbors to hunt best part was he was already patterned”
    “Ole boy here was standing in Melissa’s yard every other day, they Kept him fed real well, all I did was dumped a bag of corn out in the woods right across the street he came in on a rope”
    “Now this fella was tough to kill, not as in hard to pattern that was easy just through some feed on the ground he was use to being fed, the hard part was nobody wanted me to kill their tamed deer but if you knock enough there’s always one dumbass who lets me ruin everyone’s day 😁”
    There I’ll save yall some time👍

      I feel ya on that. Those are great deer don’t get me wrong. IMO it just can’t compare to rural deer hunting. Dealing with hunting pressure is going to change the game a ton. I can’t imagine those deer are pressured like they would be in rural areas. I bet people will call me a hater lol

    • @robo1210
      @robo1210 2 місяці тому +1

      @@Treyno94when they first started urban hunting no pressure may have been the case. These days every neighbor on the block may have given permission to a different person and they all are hunting the same deer. I’d say these urban deer are highly pressured these days

    • @Treyno94
      @Treyno94 2 місяці тому

      @@robo1210 I have a hard time believing that most people in those neighborhoods let people hunt. I could be wrong but I’d say maybe 10% would give you permission, most people in the city don’t like hunting to begin with. Can’t imagine even a 50% chance getting permission to hunt someone’s backyard when most people have pets and kids. But I could be wrong…
