Part 2 of my limited series about redecorating my crafting space! In this second installment we can begin to see the vision coming together as I sort through the sea of craft supplies.... I also get a chance to look through my grandma's knitting pattern that I inherited for the first time as I organize all of the craft books.

A beautiful gentle video. It was so precious to witness you go through your grandma's books. So many sweet patterns, some funky vintage ones and some hilarious ones. 😊

From the way you held that afghan pattern book of the one your beloved grandmother knit for all of you, I knew you were holding a treasure. Just the way your hand pressed against the book, it was as though you were feeling her, letting the memories flow into you. It's no wondered you cried! I would have, too.

The way you got emotional while looking at the afghan pattern reminds me of how I feel every time i'm making a quilt, because my grandma got me interested in it.

I’m loving this craft room series! I can’t believe you found the book with that afghan pattern, how very special. I’m so looking forward to part three!

I just stumbled on your channel this AM as i am looking for encouragement and insight to "de-stash" my own craft room! I am so embarrassed to say that...i have sooooooooo much more yarn than what you have... its really a bad bad problem.😢 But I'm determined to donate and sell a lot of this stuff! And to make it manageable! You are so brave to share all of this struggle with so many! I think my pride (and my shame!!) would inhibit me waaaay too much! But I'm gaining a TON of insight from watching what you have already done! Excited to see the finished room and the rest of the "process"!! 🎉

You always gotta treasure the family items that mean the most to you -- I'm glad you found her afghan pattern.

I am loving this series on redoing your craft room. I also loved that you shared going through all of your grandma's books. My baba (grandma) was a prolific crafter and taught me a lot of what I know and love today. When she passed, my grandfather let someone clear out all of her craft supplies and WIPs so I didn't get that experience. It was wonderful to experience a little of glimpse of that through this video. Thank you!

I'm glad you're enjoying it! ☺️ There's more next week; in ep 3 I go through both grandmas' yarn stashes and unfinished projects!

I commented above that I just discovered your channel today...and I am sooooo glad I did!!! I am so encouraged by your undertaking and that you are showing us the real process, emotions, and steps that you are taking rather than just "before" and "after" pics! And I am so blessed by your reverence for how you are sorting through your grandmother's things! I cried with you! I am a grandmother to 13 grandkids and I am an avid crocheter...I am 60 now and have been crocheting since I was about 5 years old! I have taught most of my grandchildren o crochet...boys AND girls...and they have all seemingly enjoyed the process! At Thanksgiving last year, I was making new stockings for Christmas like a crazy woman and one of my teenage grandsons came into the livingroom where we were all visiting and said, "Grandma, WalMart called and said they are out of green and red yarn and they are wondering if they can buy some from you"!😂
They know their grandma is a yarn-hoarder and they love me anyway! I hope they are as reverant when I pass away and leave things behind as you are with your grandmother's things. Bless you, dear! I will be waiting for next weeks episode of the destashing saga!

I just donated a huge amt of yarn & patterns to a local knit group held in a library. I had many of those you just showed.

I inherited my grandmother’s knitting accoutrements too. I had the long aluminum needles made into earrings for all of the women in my family by Ness Boutique because I knew I wouldn’t use them. Just an idea if you decide you don’t need some of them for actual knitting!
