*UPDATE* Two movement stats is no longer required for the Uber Lilith fight as Blizzard updates the movement speed mechanics from boots. One Esu's Heirloom is all we need now to get enough movement speed to dodge the waves and the chasing skulls. We get 75% movement speed for 3s after using evade, with the ~25% movement stat from the Esu's Heirloom itself, we get 100% movement speed for 3s. Plus we can use the evade every 4s so it will be 100% movement speed for 3s every 4s. It is enough for us to run away from the mechanics in this fight.
First video I have found that explains the first phase waves. Everything other video lazily says “burn her down phase 1” and phase 2 “don’t fall down”.
While everyone else says "Just use most OP to melt her in two seconds blahblah what you want to play meteor? Fuck you!", this guy explains the mechanics and dedicate his time to guide us stubborn people who wants to play our ways to accomplish the impossible. Who deserves subscription? Him or other "game guides"?
Amazing guide! I love how you broke down all the mechanics by health percentage and explained how they actually work. I’m playing a Druid instead of a Sorcerer, but with your help I was finally able to dodge all the oneshots and do the fight! Thank you!
I probably did this fight around 150-200 times and while once in a while she would die phase one before using any mechanics, most often she would fly away and become immune, so it was imperative to learn so that I could consistently get to her second form. Once there, it was a lot of trial and error dodging the blood missiles. I did it as a druid, and until I upped my movement speed, it was not doable. I'm glad to see that there's a guide here for the mechanics, because after I beat it I wondered if there were better ways, and all I found was people melting her, or showing videos prior to her having the extra mechanics in second form. Nice work!
@@Jefstito I was using Mad Wolf's Glee in addition to movement speed affixes on boots and amulet plus 3 extra dodges intrinsic on legs for when you needed to get out quick.
@@andredeoliveira2717 Dang it... Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It is definitely not something worthy to do for everyone. Beating Uber Lilith kind of requires Level 100 and near perfect gears that is already a giant gate. My aim is to share my experience and help set a more realistic expectation. When you have a good number of hours and want to challenge her, I hope this video will be helpful!
@@ayajamesaya oh it is helpful, thanks for the content. I got a few chars at 100 and a good number of hours, but I feel completely non-compelled to challenge her for the sake of crap loot.
This is a crap mechanic in overall. Often you have rely on luck and on having a Sorcerer. Last time Diablo had such class restricted boss fight, was in D2 where if you faced Duriel with a none warrior class, you were screwed. I hope Blizz will change this one day. Till that time i won't even try to do this bossfight.
Very good video. I do not play the sorceress but the mechanics explanations enlightened me sufficiently for the classes I do play at the moment. Thank you for the great video!
You can survive one hit of skull on barbarian if you have enough life a damage mitigation. When dealing with Skulls and platform you should keep in mind the puddles spawn somewhat randomly (even those intial 4) especially if you take lilith down to almost 0 life at the beginning of the second phase. This means that sometimes it spawns too close to the rim of the platform so think before trying to run around the rim in circle. The black wave takes time to kick in. It is good to wait a little bit and bait skulls in direction of black area before jumping to crumbling platform. It's easy to get one-shoted by skulls on the crumbling platform if you go there too soon. Usually you want to go there when red bubbles start to appear in the middle on the path where lilith flew over. If you have good damage you can put Lilith down to zero life or rather close to zero life fast. In phase 1 this means you will have to dodge at least one wave pattern (usually the circle + 3 waves). Just keep in mind those waves, when spawn they can kill you even if Lilith starts to die for the first time. Also do not forget to kill bubbles if they survive. In the second phase the best is to nuke Lilith down at the beginning. If you do that Lilith will have only sliver of life, but she will perform following sequence: She will do all three platform drops. Each one after another. (You don't need to worry about other mechanics at this moment, except the skulls. Sometimes they start spawn in quick succession like a machine gun.) After the final platform drops the last challenge is to avoid the triple slash. Stay in corner (you might have to dodge remaining skulls in that case obviously do not stand there) when she screams. Then run around the rim of tiny platform in circle fast. Teleport if necessary out the last cone shaped area attack if necessary. Then just quickly hit her or cast whatever skill you have to take her remaining life and its done.
Great explanation. I just can't make any sense of it during combat, everything happens in a split second. Got more damage now though, so I can get her to phase two.
Great video! But what to do if I'm a class without a barrier/immune ability? The "triangle waves" in 3-mobs stage, actually knocks me out when she lands, and right after spawns a 2nd normal wave that I cant dodge.
Still have yet to find a guide that explains the triangle waves that she comes down in the middle of that doesn’t use an invincibility. Druids don’t have i-frames so it’s pretty damn hard to kill her without those.
According to this, use blood mist. People abuse invincibility to bypass them. They rarely ever counter them. That’s why I can’t do this boss on a Druid.
3:40 Dont think the dodging of the waves work anymore like that. Even when looking outside the circle, the second wave ALWAYS spawns outside the circle which makes it impossible to Dodge them both with a single evade, as the second wave come into the cirly from outside
I’m at an absolute loss. Just starting playing again since first season ended, been smashing the pit from level 83 on increasing my tier with each run, maximizing gear, masterworks, and paragon skills comfortably smashing each tier solo to get up to tier 20 by level 100, even joining a random doing tier 61 and still holding my own for a few completions. Then enter, echo lilith. I can’t even get the first blister down to half by the time it one shots me, while killing elites 60 levels higher than me minutes prior… Wtf am I missing?!?!
Honestly i beat her first try with my level 47 Necro. Now i was world tier 1 cause i know if i waited to level 50 she would've been more hard and stronger. So anyone struggling it could be that. Also my gear had life regeneration , resistance to all elements and fortify generation which would create a barrier for me every 90 secs. Just some advice cause all these UA-camrs are saying be level 50-75 or 100. No that making her alot more difficult for no reason cause the higher your level the stronger the monsters/bosses are. Plus i haven't played a Diablo game aince the very first one but now I'm almost level 50 and i did the capstone and defeated Lilith just some advice from a Noob
Your damage is too good that her hp drops below 85% before she summons the 4 blood puddles and she has to dive to sky instead. In this way, you basically skip all her phase 2 mechanics :)
They must have changed her waves because for me they always come in fours 2 times back to back very fast I can melt her down to first wave phase and immediately die…I’ve tried over 300 attempts with necro and can only avoid with blood mist then get hit with second wave. Every fucking time I’ve tried every tactic movement speed 4 dodges and nothing works I’m about to give up on this boss for good
I still don't understand why they think 1 shot mechanics are a good idea in an ARPG. Feels sloppy and doesn't fit the whole esthetic of the game. It's a mad dash for damage to skip mechanics and makes you just run immunities and full damage. Poorly designed fight, sad to see Blizzard going this way.
