    Very nice to see a full flight on this aircraft that I was part of the design team 2004-2006 when it suspended for 4 yrs. That avionics is the Rockwell Collins Vision system. It was developed in unison between Bombardier and Rockwell. When Cseries was suspended, we continued the vision development foe the Global express, which actually got it before the first Cseries did. This captain really paid attention during training. He is excellent. Air Bus was envious of our design from the start as it threatened the A318,319,320 lines as they were more costly to operate than Cseries. Now they have it as A200s

      Do you think a220 could develop into a wide body version it has capability also id love this cockpit in an a330 a220 could easily replace the a320.

    Thanks to Air Baltic and the flight crew for allowing us to ride along in the beautiful CS300. The Captain deserves special thanks for his detailed explanation of the automated flight displays. The CS300 has a cockpit flight operating system second to none presently in service. An absolutely incredible airplane. It must be a pilot's dream to fly!

    These are just the greatest videos!!! Maybe I shouldn’t say this, but sometimes, I can’t believe these are free! And the way the pilots go over the flight and the instrumentation and flight controls, these are excellent intro to those who may be interested in flying as a career. Just an all around great job!!! Thanks Air Clips!

    Most handsome passenger aircraft since the B757. Lovely shape and beautifully laid out cockpit and avionics. The passengers are told they are on an Airbus. This is not an "ex-CS300". It IS a CS300. Co-pilot very talented at speaking while not moving lips! Not a bundle of fun on the flightdeck but they are clearly very competent. Great video so thanks for uploading.

    When the pilot made his inspection tour of the aircraft, he refer to the winglets on the wing. Are those not wingtips - i.e. a small vertical wing perpenducular to the wing to minimize vortex formation. I believe winglets (full name: raked winglets) are an integral part of the wing and has a superrior performance to the wingtips. e.g. A380 vs B747-8

    • @Zone5Aviation
      @Zone5Aviation 6 років тому +1

      Wingtip is simply terms used to the describe the extreme outboard end of the wing containing the strobe and navigation lights. Winglets is the term used to describe a "bolt on" aerodynamic accessory for the purpose of fuel saving. For example, Airbus re-engineered their vertical winglets which extended above and below the the wing axis. The new winglets are now known as "Sharklets" on their A320 fleet which are more of a continues upward curve. These sharklets simply screw onto where the old winglets attach onto the end of the wing. Other aircraft such as the Boeing 777-300ER with the raked back wing tip, may be a different story but they have recently been retro fitted to the -200 series also.
