I have an xcarve. I built a table for it and did grain matching for the front. I had three drawers and one door. I can’t imagine doing it along all those drawers. LOL. But man… the outcome is so worth it. Great tips. Man… that conturo is amazing.
I see you using a Fastcap tape measure. I have had problems with using tapes and since acquiring a Hultafor Folding rule (per your suggestion), I have checked my tapes, including a Fastcap (green) and a smaller Stanley 12’ and found them inaccurate. Ironically, my 25’ older Stanley rigid tape is spot on!! I would love to get an accurate tape that’s more manageable. Also, I am learning so much about my domino 500 and have already figured some of my errors…thank you!! I thought I saw you do a segment (Sedgement😂) on the TSO Bigfoot DBF45, but can’t find it. Of all the accessories out there, this seems very useful….your thoughts?
Do you have any recommendations on where to get edge banding for the conturo. The more I look the more confused I get. The conturo must be hard to get I have been waiting two weeks. Just trying to get my act together for when it does get here.
any non pre glued edgebanding will work...Wood is .5mm to 1mm in thickness and .5mm to 3mm in PVC banding in thickness ..I get my edgebanding here edgecoinc.com/
My conturo and table should be here this week. One thing I noticed when you ran the long edges you did both the top and bottom. Since you had a vac sys no problem. But what is the best way to clamp your piece to the table without breaking the edge banding for people who don't own a vac sys?
Man, I was watching cabinets being made with inches. The moment I watched your videos and moved to metrics, it changed my life.
Glad to hear it ... it makes a difference for sure !

Sedge i know you used Baltic birch for the drawer boxes but I don’t recall you mentioning what plywood you used for the cabinet carcasses
Good question, I used 3/4 inch plywood for the cabinet carcasses. Basic shop grade maple...
Sorry if I missed that you said so, but with that nice cherry veneer did you engage the scoring blade on the TSV?
yes

It's tricky but you can try using a sacrificial piece of wood under the clamp to prevent the pressure from damaging the edge banding.
Did you know you can power a Sys Rock with the new 12v batteries? It works great
cool !!!!!
Hurts my soul every time he cuts through that MFT3 top. Probably an OCD thing.
I have heard that a 1000 times....LOL
This guy is one meticulous operator! I like the fact that he covers low tech options for the multitude.
