RIP, Jimmy Beaumont, Janet Vogel, & all Skyliners who have passed. ---------We are all mortal, but the music, is 4-Ever, & Ever. ------------------WolfSky9, 71 y/o
The Skyliners always had great harmonies..and Jimmy Beaumont’s lead voice never disappoints. Whatever song he sings, is top-shelf. Donna Groom sings as beautiful as she looks.
Donna's voice is just as tingling as Janet's was. Her style and sound is fabulous. You can never compare one singer to another. Each voice should stand on it's own. That's why singers have their own voice. Not to copy another.
It seems this is one of the 50s best harmony group. I only discovered the song Since I Don't Have You ftom the movie American Graffiti and Jimmy Beaumont such s great outstanding voice as they all have.👍✨🌟💫
Rest in peace Jimmy Beaumont. I did not know that the great Jimmy Beaumont had died! This bad news causes me great sadness. Another great voice that is going to sing to God! It can’t be, the very big ones go. Rest in peace Jimmy. A thousand thanks for your voice and for "Since I Don’t Have You", this song so nostalgic and so special for me. Now it will be even more. Good trip, Master Jimmy Beaumont. Forever Jimmy and his Skyliners, who already cross the sky for eternity.
Beau will greatly be missed. What a wonderful voice. A class act. I have seen their set many times and it never got stale. Donna Guyker-Groom is a great replacement for Janet. I hope Since I don't have you lives on as his legacy. Rest in Peace Beau. Sing with the angels. I hope Terry and Dale are playing in Heaven's Band.
Jimmy And The Group were great!! In High School I wanted to be Jimmy! Loved Every Side they made. THE LOSER, What A great Song!! Thank You for it all!!
To Mr Weigold, Having also grown up with The Skyliners with Janet, I was heartbroken when I heard she had committed suicide. Her soaring high C will always be with us. That said, I am also so grateful for the beautiful, wonderful Donna Groom. Is her voice the same?? Of course it is not. But Donna sings wonderfully, hits that soaring note, & is Drop-Dead gorgeous. In short, I am so thankful every time I see or hear them in concert! Wolfsky9, 66 y/o
Qué hermoso video, no lo conocía. Cantan precioso y ella (no se su nombre) canta como los ángeles. Me hace muy feliz escuchar esta música. Gracias por compartir.
Our group spent a good part of the summer of 1960 backing up The Skylinerswhen they appeared in the Rochester-Buffalo area. They were a joy to work with.Jimmy was a very gracious person. As a side note, the leader of our group - GeneCornish - went on to have an R & R Hall of Fame career with the Rascals.Pat Proietti
I saw him in person 1 month before he passed and still so full of passion and a voice that can never be replaced. Love the Skyliners!!!! So many fabulous memories--wow, gives me chills. RIP Jimmy, you brought so much happiness to so many!
With Wolfsky9 on the subject of the group here! Yes, nice as the original group truly was, the fact that Jimmy has managed to assemble a respectable ensemble to work with him is wonderful and should not be underestimated. Let's face it, as we all get older and some pass on, its still nice to know that others are willing to help out. The Rolling Stones survive even without all original members!
Not all from the first album. In fact some of these were "the ones that got away" in the 60s! The group, despite a change in personnel really maintained a quality throughout and of course Jimmy was the true star!
Whats a real true tragedy is that the best woman this group ever had committed suicide and left the group...This group was the best in harmony especially major/minor harmony,,,There will never be another group like the Skyliners.......Rest in peace Janet we all miss you....
Interesting selections! "The Loser" was a pretty obscure record from the mid-60s, sung on record by the group's guitar player Jackie Taylor (which explains why Jimmy didn't sing it here).
Donna Groom did/does a pretty good job, and the group is still the real deal. But the original Skyliners were so good that it is virtually impossible to ever sound like them again after all these years.
Yes. He had a rather sudden heart attack during the Saturday night (although he had been having heart problems for a couple of weeks previously). It still came as a great shock!
Sir, that's the gorgeous Donna Groom, who joined Jimmy in '85--'86, after graduating from college, in Pittsburgh PA. -----------Janet passed in '78. ----------------WolfSky9
This group is timeless

One of the best groups of all times, JimmyBeaumont is the King of harmony. Their music will never die, thanks for making me smile again..

Fantastic.. Love is for sure...
Cynthia's Channel Cynthia what's your best love song
The Skyliners harmonies are so tight, classy, and unique, so much apart of The Pittsburgh Sound...
Great group! Amazing Donna!
Beautiful
Donna Groom did/does a pretty good job, and the group is still the real deal. But the original Skyliners were so good that it is virtually impossible to ever sound like them again after all these years.

Wow
R.I.P. JIMMY
So sad that Jimmy Beaumont isn't with us anymore
Wow.
It's nice to see Donna doing Janet's songs. Does anyone know who the other singers are? One looks like Jimmy Gallagher from the Passions.
Donna was the best!
I just heard that Jimmy Beaumont died on the 7TH of October ? Is this true ?
Yes I am afraid it is true.
Yes. He had a rather sudden heart attack during the Saturday night (although he had been having heart problems for a couple of weeks previously). It still came as a great shock!
Is that Janet Vogel?
NO ITS DONNA GROOM,JANET VOGEL HAD PASSED
Sir, that's the gorgeous Donna Groom, who joined Jimmy in '85--'86, after graduating from college, in Pittsburgh PA. -----------Janet passed in '78. ----------------WolfSky9
Donna groom is the best
Donna is good but try tooo hard just sing it girl
The well-to-do waitress gergely fade because middle moberly tease versus a spotty egg. milky, amuck product
Is this with that Donna. He should have not sung with another female after Janet passed away.
