ONE FOR EVERYONE! I really like this one and I will be making some as gifts for family, thank you. I like the price of $35 in the middle. It would be great to make for knitters, crochet needles, pen makers in a smaller size, the range is endless, up to your imagination. I always have inches because of my age all my tools are still in inches, only replace them as the break, then I have centimeters. So thank you for both measurements. 🤗💕
I think this is a good idea to have an assortment of tools to have in the car for both men and women. Like contrast fabrics. The man was correct with the plastics tool wraps, not long before they crack and fall apart. Great Dad gift!
Hi Christine. My daughter and myself really like this, my daughter said she would love one for her make up brushes and to put the pallets in. Colour is lovely, I think the binding goes really well with the contrast in the colours. Thank you so much 😊 take care Christine.xx
I made similar products for my sister in law to give as gifts and prizes to keep pencils in for her scrapbook classes. Used pretty fabrics and of course stabiliser
Brilliant as always. Nice clear demonstration. I have so many things I can make these for, spanner’s, screwdrivers, makeup brushes, sewing bits and bobs, and one for my hairdressing niece. Thank you for sharing.
First, you're a very good teacher. My daughter likes to paint, and I think it would be great for her brushes. I have a lot of jean/denim fabric. Maybe I'll give it a try with what I already have. Thank you.
Christine, the one gentleman commented on the grommets being helpful for what end is up... I was thinking that if wanted another layer of fabric could be added to the top that would come down over the tools, brushes, whatever. That way when it is unrolled they would not fall out. Just a thought. Look forward to your tutorials. Thank you
I think it is brilliant, love the colours and it’s quite easy to make.I think they would sell, perhaps you could make some in floral for make up brushes. Also with the eyelets you could thread tape through it and tie it around the waist,I brought one for my dad many years ago and he wore it round his waist with garden tools in it. Another brilliant idea and step by step video, thank you for sharing
That's a great idea Eve. The ties would also be great as a make-up brush apron. I might do some florals today too. I can feel another video coming up 🤪🤪
Unbelievable! For two years are or more I wanted to do this project. I started last week making this for my husband’s tools. Thinking along the same lines again.
I am so grateful for your channel it's enjoyable to see how you create and share. Just one comment, possibly a slightly louder audio with your recordings. Thanks!
Love this! I've watched many binding videos, and yours is so detailed that I believe I can do this method, finally! Thank you. I would sell this at $40. You can always go down. You can't always go up.🥰
Love all your projects, binge watch & dream. I converted this into a roll for knives forks & spoons plus s/s straws I keep it in my car. Previously the cutlery rattled around in the glovebox. The idea could be used for many things. Thanks Christine for being so generous with your patterns & videos.
I’ve been making roll ups for the neighborhood kids in their favorite movie characters out of quilting cotton for school, for the teens I’m making denim roll ups, for Christmas.
I love this! I've always wanted to make rollup pouches for all sorts of things. My daughter bought me several wrenches for Christmas (which I had asked for) and this will be perfect for them. I actually have a canvas rollup, made by Ryobi, that uses elastic to hold a ton of various drill/screw bits. After many years, it has started to fall apart, so that will be project 2. I love your colors. Thank you for sharing this project!
I thought about that idea Shelia. There are several options including a flap that folds over at the top. I have a few designs that I'll be doing videos for. This one was to be more universal so crafters can enjoy it as well 😀
I laugh. Every time I watch one of your videos. I was given heaps of fabric too and make very similar products . Wish I had seen these videos would have saved time designing and working out same products. I also like inches and templates. Love your teaching. Thanks for your willingness to share. . Will have to make a road trip up to visit your shop. I work in Yea . Where do u get labels made ?
Sandy, my labels are from www.wunderlabel.com.au Yea is just around the corner, feel free to drop in and say hi. We're usually open Fri, Sat, Sun & Mondays 😃
I love this. What fabric have you used Christine? Another one for my project book. I really appreciate that you show us your mistakes and that makes me feel better about my own sewing skills. 💕
Hi Christine! Loving your channel and have been enjoying binge watching most all of them. When you are making a new item to sell, how many do you generally start with to test and see if they’ll be good sellers?
Hi Cathy. I never know if a product will sell, but generally place them in a prominent position in the shop. Often times I think I'll have a great product, and it's a flop. Likewise when I don't enjoy a product. They may sell better. When I get a new idea, I'll usually use some sacrificial fabric to test construction an ease. Then it will depend on the fabric. I'll usually cut out enough for 3 to 6 items, batch sew it all, whilst timing myself. If I make 4 items in 80 minutes, my formula is 80min ÷ 60min = 1.333 Then 1.333 x $45hr = $59.999 or $60. Then $60 ÷ 3 items made = $20 each for labour. Then I do similar for cost of materials. I just double the overall price I paid for it then add that to labour 😃 It's easier to work out than it looks 🤪
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs thanks so much for your reply. I’ve been crafting and doing craft shows for about 30 years, mostly crocheting, but my old hands are having trouble with that so have started doing more sewing. With my crocheted items, I’ve always said it was a labor of love and never accounted for my time. I try to never pay full price for yarn (buy on sale or with coupons) but calculate at full retail price and double or triple that price, depending on the item and what I can get for it.
Thank you for showing this so clearly. I subscribed! I've been sewing all my life but I can spend too much time dithering on a design. So I came looking... My better half wants these for several sets of wrenches. I appreciate you showing me how to lay them out -- I think I can extrapolate into the several sizes he needs. Yours are super nice but his are just going into his tool chest, and I think I'll make them out of something I have around here like old denim. P>S. Had you thought of including a magnet along the top, so it can be attached to a car which is being worked on? It would have to be a strong magnet, though -- some of those wrenches are so heavy!
Ask your neighbor who has helpful feedback. I was told some tools you don't want to magnetize. I looked and see magnetic fabric pads. I know I've seen tool pouches that are magnetic. And socket sorters organizers that are magnetic. Ask. Let us know -- he had excellent knowledge! Also, a version with tools loaded from both directions and pockets offset is space efficient. I'm planning on several smaller pouches to keep sets separate in the tool box, rather than one huge pouch... and color coded for metric vs SAE vs special.
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs we will be making some of these today. Did you ask your neighbor about the magnets? I was also wondering if magnets could be used to close the pouch as well as hang from grommets. But my husband's tools and the tool box are metal. So that might be a bad idea -- if all the pouches kind of get stuck down in the tool box.
I haven't made any more of these tool rolls, and the last lot of magnets were used up in another project. Good point though about magnets not necessary being the right thing for these. I guess it would be up to the individual's requirements😀
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs you're welcome! I was hoping that there was sizes specified so I wasn't just wing'n it almost. Lol From my measurements I think you are pretty close for a set from 3/8' to 1-1/4" though. I had a request for one made from leather.
Wonderful, inspiring teacher! It is sad that the best teachers are on youtube. Thank you for being you and being here to share it with us! ❤
Thanks so much Marie. Thankfully we have UA-cam. Imagine all those tips and secrets we wouldn't learn of without it😁
I am an artist, sexist and jewelry maker. I will be making three of these just for me to handle brushes, tools etc for each hobby!
Haha, i like that Sharon😀

You are so welcome PUG. Happy sewing!😀
My favorite cookie is peanut butter with chocolate chips. The sparkly yarn is great and the colors are very Christmas.
Hmm, I love cinnamon cookies 🍪 😋
I love your projects Christine. Keep 'em coming!
Will do Georgy. Thank you 😊
I think this is a good idea to have an assortment of tools to have in the car for both men and women. Like contrast fabrics. The man was correct with the plastics tool wraps, not long before they crack and fall apart. Great Dad gift!
I totally agree Karen 😀

Thank you Sharon 😀
I think its brilliant!! I think I will make myself one for my car and one for my crochet hooks!!
Go for it Margo. Happy sewing!! 😀
I think it's a very handy item. You could use it for sewing tools as well. Thanks for sharing :-)
Absolutely! That's a great idea 😀
I made similar products for my sister in law to give as gifts and prizes to keep pencils in for her scrapbook classes. Used pretty fabrics and of course stabiliser
They'd make great prizes Sandy 😃
Just fabulous!!!❤ I found your channel recently and I am binge watching!!😂😂❤❤❤
Welcome to the channel Lilly. Better get some snacks out😁

It's certainly going to be a versatile pouch Sharon 😀

Thanks Karen. I agree about the flap at the top. That's how I've made my previous ones too🙂
Love this, would make a great makeup brush roll using pretty cotton
It sure would Merryl 😀

It's such an easy project Laverne. I'm going to do more today 😁

Thanks Judith. I purchased a new microphone this week, so I'm hoping this will fix the audio in future videos 😀

Oh my goodness. What a fabulous idea Dianne. I love it! 😊
great crafting pouch
Most definitely Maxine 😁
I love this. If you shorten the length a bit and the two rows, put ties in the eyelet. Sewing room belt or apron. I am busy now.
That's a fabulous idea Barbara 😀
I would buy on for my son and daughters.
They would love them Merce 😀
So practical. I dudnt get it the first time I listened.
Thank you😁

@@ChristinesHomeAffairs Yes they do!
This would be great for shears for hairstylists. Also it took me the whole video to figure out spanners are what we call wrenches. Lol
Haha, I always thought spanners and wrenches were two different things🤪🤪
Brilliant!
Thanks Laurie😁
Beautifully done! It looks very professional!
Thank you so much Loraine 😀

You’re welcome Doris 😊
Good gift idea! And,the price is right. Just a suggestion, why not put another row for allen wrenches on top and charge 45.
