I'm a 56 yrs. African American woman from Chicago and have been The Chicks fan for years. They have talent to burn and they also possess the big 3, Heart, Minds and Soouuul (a little Soul Train reference) . The only reason I put the previous statistics about myself on this comment is so that the Girls know that they reach far and wide. There is a reason why they are still standing, despite or maybe because of all they been through. The 3 of them are not just supremely gifted artists, they are also damn fine humans and astoundingly giving world citizens. You can't beat that with a stick. #TheChicksfanforlife
Hello 👋 Theresa. How are you doing? Hope you are fine. I’m Zack Clifford and am from Denver Colorado. Where are you from? You seem like a real country girl
My baby daughter is leaving today trying to get all the tears out before she gets up and we drive her 8 hours away. When your kids get on your nerves remember one day you will be so happy for them but still so sad.
I grew up in Oklahoma. I was born the year 2000. My school played this every morning. We had multiple songs we would sing when we got there in the morning. This was one of the songs.
By now it probably doesn’t feel as difficult. They always comeback home. My stepdaughter who is 25 often comes to work from home on Fridays and hang out with her mom.
I’m black and I love a lot of country music. I especially like Dixie Chicks. I remember I was in high school working the fair and they were here performing at the Cotton Bowl. So i kept hearing their songs over and over and by the end of the week I knew the songs word from word. Great voices, great harmony great story telling. Love❤️

The strength and courage that these ladies showed when the whole country music world turned their backs on them. Especially the other two sticking beside their bandmate Natalie and standing in unison to the world with no regrets or sorrow for what was said. They gained a tremendous amount of respect from me with the way they handled it all... The documentary about the backlash that they faced is really good too...
I'd don't feel sorry for them one bit. they had a right to their opinion, but they were tone deaf to their audience. They're in an industry that leans VERY heavily right and made a brash statement. But instead of saying "ok, I read the room wrong" they doubled down and gave the middle finger to their fans and decided to keep going. Then they got hammered for it it's like a punk band or rage against the machine telling their fans that they need to obey any authority. It was simply tone deaf and brought upon by themselves. Know thy audience. Simply put, they made a bad business decision and had to live with the consequences

This ladies personify what a wild woman is and that is why we miss these ladies. Their exile was much bigger than a statement that you may or may not agree with. It was a collective consciousness to quiet the voice of women. We owe them gratitude for their stand!
@Paul Evans they are free to speak their mind, no one tried to stop them. But just like you and I, they have to accept the consequences of their choices. And quite frankly, I really don't care if the "Chicks" or anyone else likes me, I am not a narcissist, and don't need anyone's approval on anything I say or do. Have a great day.
Was riding on a Amtrak train in Montana when this came out and listening to this on a radio with headphones And with the wide open space& Montana clouds this song became a very fond memory.
I was lucky enough to see Susan Gibbons play this song that she wrote in a small home concert a few days ago. Some friends of mine knew her and we drove down to meet with her and several other friends. She poured out her soul and told a story about the background of several of her songs as she introduced them. What a talent! Her songs touch the very fabric of everyday Americans and I'm a new fan. I have not really been a country fan until now. I hope you give Susan a listen. You won't regret it!

These ladies are simply amazing!
I remember this back in the 90's. Good memories, great song.
How could anyone hate the Dixie Chicks there Amazingly beautiful inside and out..
Their music picks me up
I don't like country music......but I LOVE this song....and like most of the songs by Dixie Chicks. Love their voices.
I agree 100%. Their songs feel like home
that what they all say
Same!
No. You don't like shitty country music, and that's cool. The past decade or two have given you boring crap that no one should like.
LoveAlwaysAlisa Agreed
I will never forget The Dixie Chicks opening up for Tim McGraw late 90s I was blown away by the their talent and harmony. Love The Dixie Chicks keep rocking
Natalie is an absolute angel. Her voice is pure bliss!
The look on Emily's face at the 2:59 mark is just so cute and i just love it💖💖🌹🌹😍😍☺☺
Just NEVER gets old, this song. Thank you The Chicks!
Transcendent song?
Likely the best country group to grace our souls with depth and meaning!
And a legacy of speaking their minds! Perfect!
Yeah, they voiced their ignorant political views, in a foreign country and destroyed their careers. They are the best!
This Song Is So Amazing !!! Omg What Talent From Vocals ,Violinist, And Guitar.... Completely Amazed!!!! ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🥰🥰🥰🌹
❤❤❤
love the Chicks ❤please
Come back !!! & blow us away Again 💙💚💜❤
They'll always be The Dixie Chicks to me! Love their music.
ALWAYS!
They don't support slavery like you
This ladies personify what a wild woman is and that is why we miss these ladies. Their exile was much bigger than a statement that you may or may not agree with. It was a collective consciousness to quiet the voice of women. We owe them gratitude for their stand!
+Wendy Madia I agree with you!
I am smitten with that violin player, absolutely beautiful… they all are SO talented ! 🙏🌹
❤❤❤
I am not a Country Music Fan, but these ladies have changed my mind with their beautiful songs, voices and harmony
Same here Paul...But been listening to a bit in the last couple of years and this is one of them
To bad they couldn't just sing. Their ignorance makes it hard to like them.
@@mitchkinney7662 I love their music and their message
@@mitchkinney7662 Too bad you do not know that we all have Freedom of Speech in this Nation. They probably would not like you, either.
Was riding on a Amtrak train in Montana when this came out and listening to this on a radio with headphones And with the wide open space& Montana clouds this song became a very fond memory.
that girl has a gift with that voice, she has her own sound, and people like that always find success if they want it.
Natalie Maines...also the girl that insulted the president during wartime...bad career choice. Great talent though
She was right. It was a stupid war for no good reason. The Dixie chicks had courage. Something President Bush and Cheney lacked.
You know nothing!!

One of the greatest songs of all time
I was lucky enough to see Susan Gibbons play this song that she wrote in a small home concert a few days ago.

It's been a long 4 years, I've finally broke out some 151, and played this album. Bunty, I know ur watching over my boys and me. Just miss you so much tonight. Until we meet again, your baby sister loves u. Misses u Soo much.
