Romney vacillated so much on the issue of abortion, it flabbergasted me that so many "pro-life" voters came out to vote for him on that issue. I can understand why they did that for Bush, because he was unambiguously willing to impose right wing religious views on the public, as demonstrated by his stance on stem cell research, and if he had the power, he would have curtailed abortion rights too, but Romney never took a firm stance on abortion, or anything else for that matter.
