When you talk about tax on the super wealthy, you’re really talking about the USA competing against the other countries’ tax rates on the wealthy because the wealthy will just move to those countries if US taxes are too high, so it’s not just a simple issue of raising the taxes on them because if they leave then it’s zero taxes paid as well as a big hit on GDP. And then there’s the issue of how many new businesses DONT setup on the US if the taxes are too high.

Child care facilities?! Child tax credit?! How about give a living wage and lower the cost of housing and inflation , stop the real estate scam so that only one parent has to work and the other one can stay home with their OWN children!!!
That's really more of a problem that can only be solved at the local and state level. Deregulating zoning laws, building more dense housing of all types (apartments, condos, duplexes, tiny homes, etc.), moving away from overreliance on single-family homes, and instituting a land value tax.
Lowering inflation would help this
We should be saving the environment and not building any more houses or apartments, period. Fix the states people are moving out of so they can stay there and save the states that aren’t being destroyed by all these damn housing companies and rich cunts.
@idontknow5249 The data doesn't pan out on that because we see how these policies actually effect families and fertility in countries like Japan and Korea, high density housinf actually LOWERS fertility and punishes parents more compared to single people and the elderly. Same with Land Value Tax, or moving away from single family homes. Places like Seoul, Tokyo, and Osaka have families constantly talking about how even tiny homes or family apartments are not anyway to raise children so they refuse to have them despite their innate desires. The data shows that if you create more suburbs you increase fertility and positive emotions around children and having children. High density only sours people from kids.
