- SO amazing! I feel so good after Decluttering and getting my first step done in this main room, step one to getting my life together in 2024. I'm so happy to have this all put away! Thanks for hanging out with me in this Declutter with me and taking down christmas decorations. I seriously love you all! Thanks for being here with me, You are THE BEST!

It's like the new year doesn't officially start until Christmas is put away.

I totally relate. After Christmas day I couldn't wait to get the tree down and all signs of Christmas. I actually put them away in the first week of January as we wasn't well though. The Christmas stuff was starting to cause me so much anxiety. I didn't buy any Christmas decorations or stuff this year. I didn't like the idea of buying just to have it for a month and then pack away taking up space. We also had a train after I saw you buy the train. Ben wouldn't let me put it around the base of the tree though. Awesome job putting so much away by yourself xx
My Christmas tree is still going strong. Every year when I eventually take it down my husband is sad. Every year..one year I did it begging if January band he was devastated so now I leave it up way too long. But for him not long enough. 😂 He loves Christmas. I'm still rocking my outside Christmas lights though I'm about to switch my snowman wreath to a heart for Valentine's Day and then unplugged some of the multi color Christmas lights and hang a red bows to make it look more Valentine's ish with the remainders. Which is usually what I do. 😊 Winter is dreary. I like the lights.
And they do feel over whelming after Christmas. Especially with an influx of gifts into the house too.
You know what would probably be great is one of those wooden train sets if you don't have one we got a cheap one at Aldi the one year it might have been around Christmas time but I know they sell them other places the one with like the little wooden tracks you just clicked together it's easy enough for a kid to do stuff on their own but also you could set up a track and just let them do the train cars on it too. With the baby that might be a challenge but it might be a good future present two or four big brother to play with solo. I can't remember if he has one of those but I know that my son absolutely loved that train set and it was one of the things he would pull out himself a lot to do. That and wooden blocks we had one of those big Melissa and Doug sets that fit in the crate it comes in. All the kids liked that one. Just in case you need any future gift ideas or if anybody else reading this does.
My whole freaking house is a trigger space!!!! My goal was to hit it really hard last year which didn't happen and then the fall I was totally going to get my life together but we got hit with sickness after sickness after injury after injury like it was just a lot and so far the school year we already are starting out on the wrong leg with illness and concussion. We got hit with a stomach bug with a concussion with pink eye for two kids and ear infection in one like it's just been already a crazy month. Apparently 2024 didn't get the memo that I was leaving all that in the past. 😂 I'm fully convinced I would have my life together if it wasn't for my actual life.
And also errands, appointments and having to feed humans..... That gets in the way a lot too. If no one ate anything and everybody had no needs I think that would help too. 😂
My trouble spot is my kitchen counter, specifically the island thats in-between the kitchen and our dining room table. Its always cluttered. I am excited for the decluttered diaries! I store my christmas tree in a bag cause it never fits back in the box like yours did, its beautiful! Also I love your top.

Christmas decorations scream at me after the New Year. They drown out the rest of life and I feel so stressed. I adore the decorations but by the time the celebration is over, so am I. Now that you have taken down Christmas you can actually see what needs doing, next time around.
Yeah thats not a ton of Christmas decorations.
