I remember my brother bought EQ 2 when it launched, but I was still too young to really get into it. I didnt get into MMOs myself until I started WoW a few months before TBC launched, I ended up REALLY getting into P99 EQ hard years later once I was a bit older, so I'm now a diehard EQ fan, but I have missed EQ 2 entirely. Might have to give it a shot on the 19th
Similar story here, played so many things but never EQ2, dispite playing og eq launch. Kinda hyped over this thing coming out in less then two days haha
😱 My face when I thought I had another week or two to work on a lengthy EQ2 Origin server video I've been working on and they said "Lol It's coming out in 4 days"
I was hoping for a new video today! I'm actually really looking forward to the Origins server. I know you are more of an EQ1 guy, but I hope to see you around in Origins! BTW do you have a discord related to this channel or any kind of community outside of the channel/twitch channel? Speaking of the next Everquest - I think AI has SOOO much potential in the MMO landscape. 90% of EQ1 was basically just a big open world where they put a bunch of mobs.... if they can use AI to generate a world and other things, and just go in and clean things up... it would let them focus on different things and basically let the devs make the most use of their time.
Everquest has dominated the entire market with its social structure and awesome guild tools. Imagine EQ1 as an with open world sandbox , UE5 graphics nanite world, where you could build your guild hall in the actual world for others to vist. Use the gw2 method of making all areas level down so everyone can enjoy. Starter areas, relevant world events, and world bosses where individual loot is distributed area based merchants that sell special items that are great for any level. Ocean that is as vast and relevant as land content like archeage had with kraken, and sucken ship treasure farming, And even the Universal gear and skills swaping. A PVE version of ashes of creation would be amazing.
I hope they go more with the EQ1 route…it’s the best version of the game by far with the best story, best gameplay, best everything, really. Maybe with a few QoL improvements and graphics improvements, but just continue the story of EQ1, please 🙏🏻
It would be interesting if they could take some of the best from both EQ1 and EQ2 and put it into a new game instead of some entirely new concept. EQ2 had some fantastic lore building and secondary things like lore books, language learning, great animations...etc. But I never really liked their more closed approach to combat without true npc splitting and group number targets for raids x2, x4...etc. I also disliked the reliance on questing, especially as it got larger and tried to more fully compete with wow. Best mmos imo offer more than one path to max level and don't rush you through content to get on the treadmill at the end.
EQ 3 in ideation, translated: 10 years if it goes through. TL;DR: Take the best of Shadowbane city building, Dark Age of Camelot RvR and 3-faction focus, WoW's actually bearable world pve leveling, simplify the amount of hotbar skills (increase the level over time like in WoW, but keep the ability the same other than special class identifiers). Let us build cities. Let us see dedicated geography for each of the three realms, no forced pvp by giving the same quest for the same 'zone'. Give the realm a benefit when a guild goes and takes a castle/fortress/zone. Add real fantasy feeling dungeons like Asheron's Call 2, had. Keep voice-overs! Offer multiple ways to level - not just 'you must gather 6 pages of a book around a massive city that takes a new player hours to navigate. Allow battleground leveling, grouped mob xp bonuses for groups, etc. Basics. Longer read: Take the best of a few past mmorpgs and see what you can do with EQIII ~ 1. Dark Age of Camelot gave players a real sense of us vs them vs them with three factions, over 2 dozen classes and races, and unique class race options per realm (faction). This moves you from the WoW/EQ 2 model (monk v bruiser, et al. turns to say, monk v bruiser v farhawk, or instead of inquisitor v templar you have inquis v templar v ravenpriest) to a more intriguing 3 realm model, allowing you to really get into fantasy race/class lore. 2. Like Dark Age of Camelot, you can ignore WoW's lazy pvp concept of forcing both factions to "cross swords" by giving the same questlines. This isn't meaningful, this is just forced pvp. In Dark Age of Camelot (DAoC), you actually raise groups or huge battlegroups to take castles and towers. Now, again, unlike WoW, a realm is benefited by members of their faction capturing enemy points. This is huge. 3. Invest in full geographical locales for each faction, so it feels like you really have your own realm. Make sure players can choose (with rewards reflecting) pve vs pve leveling and dungeon questing. 4. Take a deep dive look at Asheron's Call 2 dungeons and world building. They were far ahead of their time. Go see why. 5. WOw's voiceover addon or EQ2's voice over adds to immersion. Good stuff. 6. Consider optional questlines. For people wanting to roam Qeynos for 6 book pages, let them have it. For the rest of us, let us have battleground leveling, or let us take on mob packs with groups and actually see real xp. Options mean you keep more player types. 7. Again, most importantly, give factions a real sense of individuality. This leads us into building. Take a look at Shadowbane (or Star Wars Galaxies) and building entire cities/forts/bases, etc.. This was amazing. The fact they could be burned down was amazing as well. Think about why this matters. The more we invest into a game, the more likely we are to stick around. Just some thoughts as I'm in a hurry to get to work. /cheers.
My wife and i will be starting our accounts back up for the origin server. We've reactivated a few times for various tle servers, but dont usually stick arlund too long. Hopefully this will be different.
EQ3 should be a total revamp modernized version of Original EQ. Imagin Gfay (for example) with modern graphics and huge (like 10 times bigger than original) Mist going through the ancient trees, wildlife (deer, rabbits, squirrels, ....) Ancient totally realistic trees that are nearly as big as redwoods, then actually make doable quests, like 150-200 just for Gfay. Make rivers and creeks and hilly regions, orc fort towns, make Gfay (for example) a realistic huge ancient forest. Make it so you can stay in Greater Faydark for weeks or even months, in other words make it MUCH more realistic and Tons of sht to do. Imagin looking up in the the ancient super tall trees and seeing the moon (which changes with seasons btw) through the branches. Imagine giant spiders on the side of the trees (but not too many of them) crawling up and down.... So many ideas, i could go on and on and on JUST for Gfay! thats only ONE Zone! i dont see why they dont make Everquest 3 like that. Also you would have lakes and ponds throughout the zone, leaves falling from the trees, during the day the sun would be hazy and a mist throughout the magical forest. So many ideas...... EQ3 im sure they want impress me that much and probably want play it lol
EQ3 could be a massive success. It would be possible for it to be the biggest MMO again. The timing has always been the key here. But it would have to do something different or better than what we see now in MMOs. And i would be interested in what a creative team could come up with. It would probably be something obvious that nobody really does.
I really want eq3 to be a prequel to everquest. they have so much lore they can use. and have all the starter cities, as starter villages. and let them grow bigger through expansions. or everquest 1.5 build a game to show how eq to eq2 happened.
I am done going to these things. I went to the one in Vegas for Everquest Next...and Daybreak took over and killed that project...after TONS of buzz and excitement...so it doesn't surprise me no one turned out for this.
I was a legend even if i do sound super arrogant at being one of the best Team leader tanks in the game back in the days of 2004 - 2010 - As a Paladin and belonging to a great Guild I was part of a regular team of online friends who played together. During the week we had our regular full team of 6 who were a force to be reckoned with !! I was the aggro controller designed to soak the damage up and keep the other nme players in PVE and PVP on me while our healer would keep me alive, our damage dealing assassin or in this case a very highly skilled and equipped Swashbuckler, our amazing Warden, Illusionist, Mage / Warlock and Ranger rly did make us a famous team that other groups knew us so well in the server we played on they would actually rather run awayon ocassion than try to fight us We also did have one opponent group we often would from time to time clash with who were like the evil version of us and occasionally they would win but for the most part we would win, what i also enjoyed was on rare occasions we might run into one of these Guild group members solo and also being on my own and it was 50/50 who would win on the day etc etc, but I just loved the threat of questing in neutral areas and never knowing if you would end up in a PVP scrap during your journey Even on occasions whilst travelling to one of our weekend guild EPIC dungeons runs it was known for us to detect using certain chatacters in our group of 24 players lead by either myself as Main tank or I would be the relief tank if he was killed during a fight with an EPIC monster and I would have to hold aggro whilst they were revived so our entire group would not get wiped before you could say... well not very much rly LOL. Running into another group of 24 players about to do an EPIC dungeron run also brings back memories of some of the best fights and MMO PVP i had ever known and is why I couldnt rip myself away from EQ2 to play WOW, (spits on floor) because while you could play on PVE only servers in EQ2 back then I remember the excitement of random pvp encounters being actually imo what made this game great and seperated it from other MMO's where they had stupid specific zones you would go to and fight PVP and I dont mean random i mean go to play capture the flag type pvp zones... just ruined the whole point of grinding those EPIC dungeons and Quests to obtain the Legendary and YES the illusive FABLED items specific to character types most often and if you COULD manage to get the full armour set for your character just made you look like a true legend in the game like myself in my Golden armour and winged paladin helm, shield and sword of fire and cloak of flames I truly felt unique even though i still needed the boots and grieves to complete my fabled set in the game I never ran into another Paladin who came close to having the same look i did. Ahhh those were the days. Being truly known by name in a game as Ravenhawk and your PVP title below - Overseeer meaning you were literally one of the best pvp players in the game, i admit i never gained this level but did get 2 levels below granting me the title of champion or the invincible, I forget the actualy ones in between i just remember Hunter was the first title and Overseer the highest. This game will forever hold a place in my heart and i wish WOW had not came out when it did and i wish Sony had done a better job of marketing the game as I still truly believe it was just better than WOW, maybe slightly not graphically but as an MMORPG Package it had everything I desired. The only reason I watched you video this evening which i thank you for by the way is i have just re-installed EQ2 once again and intend to revisit it for nostalgic reasons and see if there is still enough players playing it that you can have fun if you join a guild meet players and also I stopped playing i believe at L60 so I am a noob in someways again no mattter how great my armour looks and the stats it has. Another 60 levels to max out sounds great and a recent update/content patch to go with my timing what more could i ask for.... Well I will tell you one thing NOT the same damn monthly subscription price i used to pay back in 2004 thats for damn sure.. This is the only thing i am very disappointed to hear about, I dont expect it to be free but with Grfx still looking ok considering but still very outdated surely $5 a month maximum i believe is enough to warrant it continuing to exist and pay the few people needed to develop and provide tech support for the game which i imagin is very very few now. Anyway Chapter one of my Book was free - Remembering the good old days of EQ 2, if you wish to read the entire book of exploits, fights, and everything else that made this game great you will have to errrm contact me somehow somewhere.
Interesting phenomina. Multiboxers typically run fewer overall number of characters. They tend to be more focused in a single set vs the majority who will make alts they do not use up to max level. But the majority of players opperate 1 account at most times. Exact numbers are hard, but it seems from observing that multi boxers are less than a Sixth of population and those opperating 2 vs 3 at once vs 4 vs 6 vs 13 drop in orders of magnitude. Players will box a single character in two different player groups, but this seems to happen by survey around one and 20 players. ( such as a raid or money making alt and a EXP group alt) Out of group healers are also a statistic to help calibrate estimates. I do this kind of analysis as a real life career to be able to see what seems impossible to see, and I do not have a confident estimate yet but I would say that the number of people running multiple accounts does not overtake the number of people that is running single accounts, despite possibly of the majority of population having the capacity to run multiple accounts at once.
I would love to see obsured credit card data to know the number of unique credit cards used week to week, how many have life time subs, ect. Including krono data so i can evaluate things like accounts being used ( or attempting ) to scrub black market activity.
Multiboxing in my completely anecdotal experience has been higher than 1 in 20 people, my gut wants to say roughly 1 in every 9 people I've met have been multiboxing, with the most common # being 2box for TLP and 6box on live
@@shimapanzer9930 you misunderstood me but i love your thoughts and findings by the way. i was saying for that part of 1 in 20 are in two separate groups at the same time. So basically their exping with one account in a pug group and then they are in a raid or farming money on another account. And it could very well be higher because I look at behavior and then ask people. People having two accounts is way higher than 1 in 20 for sure. Could be over half im not sure. But behavior aspects differ whether they're jacking off or just leaching EXP. You can tell by watching Mana bars and timing in movement and the spells they choose to cast. I don't even discount different kind of cognitive characteristics. It's stupid how much I think about this I mean it literally gets so dumb that I have to then dig myself out and figure out what bullshit my brain came up with... but getting good at that leads to predictions that work out to be true when i get better evidence. And thats an amazing high. And really I can't fault you or anyone else for having a lot of doubts on what I said. Absolutely should or i wont respect it as wise. Like you said yeah there's even people on multiple servers. You do need to have more accounts so expansion purchases go up vs subscriptions for the TLP. Yes Krono farming makes sense, but the nature of that requires a small minority of the population preforming it. I could go to live servers and work out the hour per krono grind and bla bla bla bla.. Daybreak should give me a T shirt and ill actually treat it more seriously.
This is making my heart ache, soul scream, and mind break. I miss the days of EverQuest 2 so bad. I want Everquest 3 to be the spiritual successor to EQ2, almost everything just like EQ2, TONS of Classes, TONS of Races, Unreal 5 ultra-realistic graphics, tomes dropping to upgrade your abilities and make them god-like if you get the master tome you needed, flying *(but in current content zones, incentivize the players to be on the ground, chances for good loot etc.)*, interactable world items, wondering NPC merchants, add in the ability to turn your toon into the sales merchant like in EQ, then throw in WoW style PvP; Arena, Battlegrounds, but then use open world multifaction pvp that can be based on the guild you are in considering themselves to be a hostile guild or not something along those lines to spice things up. God it would be so FREAKING AMAZING! I am currently applying to work at Daybreak, I hope they'll have me for the project, I recently finished my degree and I'd love to work for them on it.
eq2 was awesome at launch....then WoW launched, and withing a month they hit the EZ mode button and EQ2 sucked ever since. It was only good for the first 3-4 months at release, then it was a game where the mobs would fall down because you showed up. That isn't a game, that's a screen saver. Dunno how you all can stomach that and still call it a "game", when there is no compelling gameplay.
Graphics and game play mechanics are nice, but they shouldn't be the focus. Lots and lots of other games do that, they do it better, and it's what people play them for. What Everquest needs are REAL, old-school Dungeon Masters who are tried and true old hands at making QUESTS. LOTS of quests, for all levels of the game, involving ALL zones, from ones that start and end in beginning cities to quests that hop across several expansions. Rewards that could give a little bit of cash and faction, to new Epics that don't have level-capped abilities and grow in power with their wielder. Even, and especially, quests that are just interesting and do nothing more than involve a slice-of-life from a mere NPC that, in later years, may be taken up and expanded upon but, in the meantime, tell a good story. Because THAT is what we all still play EQ 1 for. Give us mystery! Tantalizing introspectives into the world and how the people/races interact with it and each other. Backstory! Make support classes critical again, and take the guard rails off. Do they not yet realize just WHY every TLP becomes a ghost town after PoP? 🤷♂️
Yeah - this is one reason I'm super excited for Origins, but even in the best-case scenario, I'm not totally sure I'll want to stick around. I really enjoyed the game up through (I think) TSO... and then in SF I ended up having more fun on older content rather than pushing the end game stuff and eventually just fell off.
90,000 concurrent players is surprisingly good. EVE online is only 25-30k at its max and it's another multibox game. I'm surprised to hear it's that high.
You dying wasn't dying to a ghost viper that chased you down a road until it ate you, only to chase you again to eat you again.. and then dance on your body while some people killed it over your corpse. No no, that wasn't you dying! Not at all! You were being heroic! Yeah. Killing that young viper was saving the other level 4 shaman!
I love the EQ universe. I prefer EQ2 over EQ1 though, since I started playing EQ2 at launch. I don't really get the rivalry between both games though...
I'm thinking of coming back, havent played since Dragons of Norath. Is the end-game / newest expansion solo with mercs or still grouping? Hoping there is still grouping seems like all of the MMOs these days are solo or boxed groups/raids. Playing FFXIV too but barely anyone chats or it just doesn't feel like that group dynamic and getting to know people.
I have my eq2 cloth map, that came in the collectors edition tin. I still have the discs, tin, coin, and all the goodies. Also how about they release the server side software so people can make their own EQNext servers.
@@Redbeardflynn I am still very resentful about landmark and leave it in my steam library listing (along with all of the awesome screenshots of my, and other's builds) as a reminder to remain bitter and resentful about how that was handled. It's in the great book of grudges.
I only hope that Everquest 2 will get enough new players to reanimate the german localization so that i can play with my wife, who does not want to play the game in english, again. Maybe i can convince her to take a look into the Origin Servers for the sake of the good old times where we played that so much...
I've given up on trying to re-like EQ1. You could solo but you'll probably die is a bad model. It should be you can solo but if you group you will be rewarded.
IMO the creative direction with TLPs in EQ1 has almost all been 'bad model'. Few exceptions but mostly trash. Personally speaking on that, I wish they would just release 4 or 5 dedicated servers that are expansion locked just like Agnarr. Start from there and expand out with LOCKED servers. I bet those over 1 to 10 years would gather TONS of players who want to play that particular content and go back to it just like Agnarr. Agnarr dies for a while with numbers then explodes again when folks get tired of the new 'creative crap' they release. Just my thoughts. But ya, I understand you giving up trying to like EQ1.
I always said, take the first expansion of EverQuest put it on a brand new up to date server. Don’t change anything and restart over just way better graphics. Old timers, even though they played the content with play it and new people would be able to love it. Would not have to work on storyline or anything because we already have it.
As long as the EQ3 game, whatever it might be, isn't a rugpull in the end, I'll be happy. EQ Next was great, I just wasn't in a place to buy into it. In hindsight, glad I didn't/wasn't able to. (Glad haven't/been able to afford any of the kickstarter/'early backer' MMOs for that matter.) Really want to drop into the Origin server, but money in my life is still tight. /sigh-- the story of life: you can either have time or money, rarely does one have both.
At this point if they did a stat squish and remove a bunch of now irrelevant mechanics and systems they could have a real gem on their Hands. The EQ2 games so bloated it's not even funny.
We will never get an EverQuest 3 with the people working for daybreak If you listen to them talk they are just maintenance guys - they don't really have that kind of vision or ambition.

@@mc1993 I literally have no clue how what you said has anything to do with the point I just made. but, ok.
and for the record, Daybreak had NOTHING to do with Landmark or EQ Next. So, maybe you got your "they's" mixed up, and that is why I have no idea what the hell you saying.
🤣🤣🤣

Daybreak is SOE. John Smedley was president and CEO of Daybreak Games Company. Only ownership changed from Sony to CN. I now understand why you have no idea. Should I mention EQ:Next was shut down after a full year under Dey'Break Games? What's it all mean...we have heard this new EQ before. 😘

Would Daybreak use software like Riot Game's Valorant created Vanguard? No, because if they removed hackers and super botters, the player base will be under 3000.

Thanks for the coverage! So excited about all the news.
I used to play EQ 1 (started in Kunark). Recently created a character in EQ2 and like it so far. Hope there's an EQ3 soon.
So much going on, very exciting!
It's also noteworthy to point out they said the highest populated server in all of EQ2 right now was the Beta for Origins. That should say something.
Very excited for the origin server! My computer wasn't beefy enough to play it when it first came out, so I'll definitely be checking it out
😱 My face when I thought I had another week or two to work on a lengthy EQ2 Origin server video I've been working on and they said "Lol It's coming out in 4 days"
A PVE version of ashes of creation would be amazing.
really wish the map had zone names like the OG map. I'd buy it instantly.
Origins is gonna be great! Can't wait to see you in-game!
This is an awesome video. Lots of very cool stats. Stoked to see what an EQ3 could be
I hope they go more with the EQ1 route…it’s the best version of the game by far with the best story, best gameplay, best everything, really.
Me and my guild usually play other games but are going to start playing eq2 when the origin server comes out
EQ 3 in ideation, translated: 10 years if it goes through.
TL;DR:
Take the best of Shadowbane city building, Dark Age of Camelot RvR and 3-faction focus, WoW's actually bearable world pve leveling, simplify the amount of hotbar skills (increase the level over time like in WoW, but keep the ability the same other than special class identifiers). Basics.
Longer read:
Take the best of a few past mmorpgs and see what you can do with EQIII ~
/cheers.
I don't play EQ much anymore but that map is beyond cool. It's definitely going on my wall next to the originals.
I played EQ2 before 1 and it was crazy that there were no barbarian paladins, that was my first main in EQ2!
Same!! Oh the nostalgia!!
I would love an updated eq1 personally
Look ma! I'm on UA-cam! (Spotted my old Character in that B-roll Ashengate raid footage)
Hope you're doing well Axe
My wife and i will be starting our accounts back up for the origin server. We've reactivated a few times for various tle servers, but dont usually stick arlund too long. Hopefully this will be different.
I enjoyed your video but all i can think about is Landmark and Everquest Next.
I already seen it. lol That pull was out of Control. But I do wish Daybreak Games well they are going to need it with EQ3.
The day daybreak took over, the eq license died for me.
As long as Darkpaw is in charge, EverQuest has no future.
Would love to see Everquest on PS5 or Xbox Series X.
RIP Landmark. Thank you Daybreak. For nothing. Spare us your talk. Thank you.
I ordered my eq cloth map as soon as i saw it on your other vid. My wallet has been hating me too.
I really want eq3 to be a prequel to everquest. they have so much lore they can use. and have all the starter cities, as starter villages. and let them grow bigger through expansions. or everquest 1.5 build a game to show how eq to eq2 happened.
Monsters and Memories is ahead of the game
I am done going to these things. I went to the one in Vegas for Everquest Next...and Daybreak took over and killed that project...after TONS of buzz and excitement...so it doesn't surprise me no one turned out for this.
Imagine what Monsters & Memories could do with just ~25 people ;-)
Go get you something nice champ :)
Holy Crap Parnyr! I'm...wow that's so insanely generous of you. I'm at a loss. Thank you so much.
I was the aggro controller designed to soak the damage up and keep the other nme players in PVE and PVP on me while our healer would keep me alive, our damage dealing assassin or in this case a very highly skilled and equipped Swashbuckler, our amazing Warden, Illusionist, Mage / Warlock and Ranger rly did make us a famous team that other groups knew us so well in the server we played on they would actually rather run awayon ocassion than try to fight us
We also did have one opponent group we often would from time to time clash with who were like the evil version of us and occasionally they would win but for the most part we would win, what i also enjoyed was on rare occasions we might run into one of these Guild group members solo and also being on my own and it was 50/50 who would win on the day etc etc, but I just loved the threat of questing in neutral areas and never knowing if you would end up in a PVP scrap during your journey
Even on occasions whilst travelling to one of our weekend guild EPIC dungeons runs it was known for us to detect using certain chatacters in our group of 24 players lead by either myself as Main tank or I would be the relief tank if he was killed during a fight with an EPIC monster and I would have to hold aggro whilst they were revived so our entire group would not get wiped before you could say... well not very much rly LOL.
Running into another group of 24 players about to do an EPIC dungeron run also brings back memories of some of the best fights and MMO PVP i had ever known and is why I couldnt rip myself away from EQ2 to play WOW, (spits on floor) because while you could play on PVE only servers in EQ2 back then
I remember the excitement of random pvp encounters being actually imo what made this game great and seperated it from other MMO's where they had stupid specific zones you would go to and fight PVP and I dont mean random i mean go to play capture the flag type pvp zones... just ruined the whole point of grinding those EPIC dungeons and Quests to obtain the Legendary and YES the illusive FABLED items specific to character types most often and if you COULD manage to get the full armour set for your character just made you look like a true legend in the game like myself in my Golden armour and winged paladin helm, shield and sword of fire and cloak of flames
I truly felt unique even though i still needed the boots and grieves to complete my fabled set in the game I never ran into another Paladin who came close to having the same look i did.
Sounds like 5 plus years till we see basic forms of the game.
( such as a raid or money making alt and a EXP group alt)
Out of group healers are also a statistic to help calibrate estimates.
Thanks for this.
Of course! Thank you for watching
There is a guy named Justin Kader recreating everquest in unreal engine 5 and its amazing.
I've killed Fippy a few times this weekend, for XP ;)
AI jumps will expand what they can do in the future immensely.
Barbarian Paladins have been my wet dream for EQ1… sad that we can’t get them
I miss Everquest Next landmark... It's still the best building and exploration game I've played. I'm sad it was scrapped.
Only thing keeping me from being excited for eq2 expansion is they refuse to shrink their numbers. The stat inflation is crazy.
Yeah - this is one reason I'm super excited for Origins, but even in the best-case scenario, I'm not totally sure I'll want to stick around. I really enjoyed the game up through (I think) TSO... and then in SF I ended up having more fun on older content rather than pushing the end game stuff and eventually just fell off.
or dying afk watching Fippyfest...
I think after a couple of decades, I'll try and boot back into this world. Hopefully it'll run on Linux.
Redbeardflynn, do you plan on playing on new server? And what race class are you thinking?
90,000 concurrent players is surprisingly good. EVE online is only 25-30k at its max and it's another multibox game. I'm surprised to hear it's that high.
You dying wasn't dying to a ghost viper that chased you down a road until it ate you, only to chase you again to eat you again.. and then dance on your body while some people killed it over your corpse. No no, that wasn't you dying! Not at all! You were being heroic! Yeah. Killing that young viper was saving the other level 4 shaman!
Exactly! Heroic!
The host of Fippy Fest 2024, is that Kitt from Agnarr (Shadows Requim(sp))?
Dragons wings and tail clipping through the walls ... C'mon Darkpaw you're better than that!
2024 and 20 min 24, excellent
Also how about they release the server side software so people can make their own EQNext servers.
i still have my EQ2 cloth map
That's awesome. I got the new one from the store this year but wish it was a bit more classic
Hopefully they go back to the basics and keep the feel of eq and eq2 wasn't bad but wow came out a week later
Why do you torture us (and yourself) with the landmark footage? 😢
It's my masochism I suppose?
@@Redbeardflynn I am still very resentful about landmark and leave it in my steam library listing (along with all of the awesome screenshots of my, and other's builds) as a reminder to remain bitter and resentful about how that was handled. It's in the great book of grudges.
I only hope that Everquest 2 will get enough new players to reanimate the german localization so that i can play with my wife, who does not want to play the game in english, again. Maybe i can convince her to take a look into the Origin Servers for the sake of the good old times where we played that so much...
Play something new
I've given up on trying to re-like EQ1.
Thanks 👍
We should apply
Pretty worried about EQ3 if she's the one talking about it.
I always said, take the first expansion of EverQuest put it on a brand new up to date server. Don’t change anything and restart over just way better graphics. Old timers, even though they played the content with play it and new people would be able to love it. Would not have to work on storyline or anything because we already have it.
if EQ3 is just a another version of EQ2 i want be impressed at all
another mustardtiger siting!
They split the population Mischief and Thornblade
Have you tried Project Quarm yet?
All i ever cared about from them was EQOA and Champions. I care even less since Columbus Nova happened.
They've been under EG7 not Columbus Nova for quite some time.
As long as the EQ3 game, whatever it might be, isn't a rugpull in the end, I'll be happy. EQ Next was great, I just wasn't in a place to buy into it. In hindsight, glad I didn't/wasn't able to. (Glad haven't/been able to afford any of the kickstarter/'early backer' MMOs for that matter.)
Really want to drop into the Origin server, but money in my life is still tight. /sigh-- the story of life: you can either have time or money, rarely does one have both.
I just wish they would update graphics just a tiny bit
Champions would be awesome on PlayStation.
I badly want them to port them both to PC like the remnants of Dark Isle did for Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 1 and 2.
When will they port eqclassic to eq2
It is Veeshans father.
At this point if they did a stat squish and remove a bunch of now irrelevant mechanics and systems they could have a real gem on their Hands. The EQ2 games so bloated it's not even funny.
We will never get an EverQuest 3 with the people working for daybreak
If you listen to them talk they are just maintenance guys - they don't really have that kind of vision or ambition.
I love to play with other players problem is you can't get groups on everquest. I sit around for hours LFG got tired of it so now I 5 box
Do we even know it's everquest 3? And not something else using the ip
Teek is pointless 6-10 mage botters per zone pulling everything. Most dungeons are unplayable now cuz of them.
We all uninstalled
Try another failed server, Tormax! I guess players only play the game for specific stuff like loot and selling stuff for real money. But hey DB/DP keep making money because real people buy krono and that pays them big time!
@@MPArmy123GDtime ya i guess its a necessary evil unfortunately. Noone goes to tormax lol.
We all went to quarm private alkabor server. Much better and free
Multi-boxers are a cancer on gaming.
@@jamesstaley5611 Been playing EQ for a LONG time. I'm on my last thread personally but I finally conceded to multiboxing just a couple years back. It brought the game back to life for me because finding folks to do stuff is so thin....anyway is what it is and I can't disagree with you.
@@Ferngully2024 I'm obviously being sarcastic in a way. I hear you though. Cheers bossman.
EverQuest 3 should be like EverQuest 1 with better graphics
they could figure out bot players. How many groups are standing in the same spot on follow behind one player
Wait, EQ is still at 90k players? Sheesh
Nah, that's just 5 boxers. kek
Just count the 90k since those are all paying accounts boxed or not.
