On Campus Eating Options at St. George's University

- Many people back home always ask what I have to eat here on campus in Grenada. In this video I tried to briefly show most of the food options. From burgers, fries, and smoothies, to whole plates of food, sushi, and pastries, SGU has it all. I apologize for the wind background noise. Hope this is at least somewhat helpful if SGU is on your prospective school list too.

I got accepted into Fall 2019 (super nervous) but was wondering if you can do a tour of any local grocery stores? Curious to know about their selection of groceries in Grenada.

Yep! 1 on campus and 2 right outside of campus. Hopefully I'll do an off-campus food video next term

Yes there are vegetarian options all around as well as many places that offer halal foods in stores. I can't say I'm 100% if any of the campus vendors on campus sell halal foods, but I know I've seen them in supermarkets

Does the University own a cafeteria that is free or included in the school fees?
No. There's no meal plan or anything like that. There's vendors all around campus and there's a business called Glovers at the student center that has a grill, salad/wrap station, and sushi station. However everything is purchases each meal not as a plan or ahead of time

@@HaimiKay Some vendors are starting to accept card, but for the most part yes, it's cash only

Is the subway halal?
I'm not sure. It's the same as in the states, so if it is in the states, it should be here.
@@BrittneyKilgore thanks for replying, I'm really interested in this uni and "the contact a student program" is really taking a while. I also wondered how fast is the internet there? I like to moderately stream and play online games with my friends. So a response would really be appreciated. Thanks
@@russiandogchaker I checked the speed for a friend last term in 2 spots on campus. In a study hall the PNG was 81 ms; download time was 58.76 mbps and upload was 122.74 mbps.

It is not about food but I have a question on foundation program... Can you tell more about foundation program? I am a Korean and I wanna go to sgu but I bet I have to take the foundation program.. Seeing you program well😄
Hello! I actually have updated a video about the foundation program on my page. However, you can't apply directly to it. It happens when you apply directed to the SVM or SOM program and the school deems that you need it. If you're missing requirements, you might have to do one of the 5 or 6 year tracks.
@@BrittneyKilgore I am sorry but what is SOM and SVM? So you mean we apply to SGU and they decide whether we have to take foundation program?
@@BrittneyKilgore Oh I got it.. then if I have a grade that can attend foundation program they tell me to attend the program?
@@user-vy9db6qx6d SOM is school of medicine and SVM is school of vet med. I didn't know which program you'd be applying to. But yes, basically you apply to them and if they feel like you need to attend, then they'll admit you into it. But if you're missing pre-requisites you might need to apply to the undergrad programs (pre-med or pre-vet).
