Good thing about grenada the price of cars dont ever seem to depreciate and after 3 temporary grenada driving permit u can apply for a local grenada license
@@BrittneyKilgore no there is no exam u just let tem know that u would like to get a local license you would have to go to the inland revenue office to get it done
Hey Brittney, what's the parking situation like on SGU's campus? I know there is a dedicated student lot, but is it usually full / overcrowded / off-campus parking needed? And are scooters or bicycles allowed on campus with all those hills?
Haha, I will be honest. Parking is a bit overwhelming. There's only one student friendly lot (although parking is more lenient on weekends). I think initially, many students didn't drive but now people do. The school still tries to encourage people to just use the bus, but people realistically like the flexibility of having their own car. There is a small parking lot off campus that students would park in (although the term before we left, it became a paid parking lot. Not sure how it'll be when we go back because they've been doing construction in this lot off campus). Scooters are allowed. People don't bike much on the island because the roads aren't the best and there's many LARGE hills. Scooters are ... frowned upon by SGU because of safety and how people drive, but you do see decent numbers of students riding them. You just have to wear a helmet. and there's separate parking for scooters.
haha _ Love your videos. This hill is definitely a big one, but I had to also laugh because we're going to be living here too, and it was totally so true - I'm used to the rocks, the holes - I'm getting good at ducking them, and even the driving on the left - along with who stops behind the parked cars depending on which way you're coming - but the Best part - is we're gonna be living on the same size hill - and it's a dirt road !!! So when it rains ... you know it gets slick and sometimes... well I'm just gonna stay home some days I think ! Drive safe and keep the videos coming :)
I have been following your travels - you are doing great! I will enter SGU in January. Can you tell me if the anatomy labs are open at night or over the weekends?
Hi Brittney. I know this video is old, but I wanted to ask you, did you share this apartment with anyone? How much were you paying for it every month if you don't mind me asking? Thank you.
Hey! I had it alone initially and paid $650/month. the second bedroom was closed off, but my best friend ended up moving down and then the rent was $500 month/each. This is one of the cheaper places to stay in GND.
My question for you Brittney is what do you do if someone from your apartment is driving down when you are on your way up or the other way around seeing that the road to your apartment is narrow?
Ideally, you honk your horn if you're getting ready to come up or down so that the other person can wait, but usually we don't do it haha. It's rare that I ever run into someone but if I do, usually the person who is lower will back up until it's possible for one car to go around
Hey! there's many little companies/people who rent. It's hard to find online sometimes because there aren't many official websites but rather Facebook pages or word of mouth/numbers and you call there. You may be able to google around or if you get on one of the SGU BUy & Sell Facebook pages, mention you're an SGU student wanting to rent and there may be some suggestions. I'd personally wait till you get on island and maybe ask around in the sgu community. And price is US, but I have seen some in the $300s. It just depends
Nope. It's free to students. They don't issue permits to term 1 students (don't know why, but they don't), but there's a parking lot just off campus if you get a car first term. Otherwise, parking on campus is free
Might be getting an offer from SGU to work in Grenada. Thanks for the information, sister.

The car needs body work inside - ger a good mechanic or i can recommend Lester Martin
Have your tried market hill yet? 😱😱😱😱

Can you buy a car in the US 🇺🇸 and ship it to Grenada?
Yes but its VERY expensive...like several thousand dollars. There are newer/nicer cars here. They're just higher so students typically don't get them
