By the gods, THANK YOU so much for this! I can't believe I never thought to try long-pressing on that button before to turn off the adaptive feature. This makes me so happy. Love my 22 Civic Hatchback Sport Touring *that much more* now =D
Thanks! I like my ACC but it was having some trouble this morning for some reason and refusing to operate so it's nice to know I can go back to classic dead simple cruise control always
I've actually had good results with Honda's adaptive cruise control (their lane keeping is a lot more hit or miss, it doesn't bounce back and forth but it wanders too close to the edge for my liking), BUT, I'm glad I know how to turn it off now if I don't want it on.
any chance you are tuned using ktuner? also if you hate ALL the nannies like lane assist/auto braking all that stuff you can do like i did and use electrical tape to cover the camera.
Not tuned. It’s the wife’s car. As far as tape that’s a great idea. I did turn off lane assist so that’s not an issue. I did a video how to turn off the cruise control issue that I don’t like so that’s been taken care of. The only issue I have that I haven’t taken time to figure out yet is how to turn off when you stop the car at a red light and the engine turns off to save gas. I think there is a fuse that you can take out that will stop that
Yes. Press and hold the cruise control on button for 2 seconds and it will tell you constant speed control is activated and radar cruise is deactivated. I have a 2021 Toyota suv and a 2023 Honda crv so I’m familiar with both.
Now someone tell me if there's a hack to turn off the rain-sensing feature of the wipers, having the selection dial on the stalk function as *variable intermittent* choice instead. It would be great if the AUTO selection could be changed to function as INT instead. I'm not terribly impressed with Honda's rain-sensing performance - it's quite inconsistently I find. Having ability to switch to a "plain old" variable intermittent would be so nice. /dream
Skip to 2 min mark for how to

This worked on my 2019 Civic. It’s the exact same process.

Great video and I agree every word. Doesn't work in my Civic (european eHev). Cannot turn off adaptive part of cruise control this way. 😭

Does this permanently keep it off, or do you have to do it everytime you drive??
Every time you turn off the car, you have to do it again
@@eriksmith7829 duuuuuude. 💀
I hate this lol. I have a 22 sport touring.
@@db-ro6ui it sucks for sure
Can you do this while driving?
Yes
It does not work on a 2024 CR-V Hybrid while driving. Very frustrated with not being able to turn off the adaptive part of cruise control.
I find myself going 70
Thanks!
