I am probably going back to Nepal in a few months but overland from India. Good to watch your channel as it gives me lots of pointers for my own vlog which is still young. Will keep watching your channel, wishing you lots of luck and inspiration with that.
Your videos are the best. After watching, I decided to go solo to Everest Base camp in March. It was a tough walk at times, but so good being alone and meeting so many trekkers and locals. The weather was perfect and the trail was never busy. Trekking numbers were down from more than 500 per day to only around 20 or 30 because of the corona virus. Thanks for the inspiration!
Gabriel- if you are stuck in California because of the virus, may I suggest you do some more hiking videos in the area. Your previous California hikes have been awesome.
I'll try to get another video out there sometime soon. Been busy with a change of plans due to the virus situation. I've been posting some updates on instagram: instagram.com/gabrieltraveler/

Ok, here's what your next trip should be. Rent a mini-van and drive up the coast... cross the border. Drive up into the interior of B.C. and then down to Bella Coola. Catch a ferry out the Haida Gwai. Then ferry back down to Campbell River and then drive down and spend a couple days exploring Victoria. You're welcome.

I'm really not sure about that, but six years old seems pretty young. I would look into it further and see if you can get info from other people who have gone trekking with young kids. My best suggestion would be to look into one of the short treks like Poon Hill, near Pokhara. It only takes a couple days. It seems like it would be too tough for them and also frustrating for you to have to walk so slowly for that many days. But hey, I don't have kids so what do I know.

Wouldn't your hotel cost in Kathmandu double for the additional time to adjust to the altitude even if you were going no higher than a mountain base camp, which is still pretty high? I'm assuming when you went to Nepal from San Francisco you would spent at least week or two in Kathmandu before you started your trek. In most cases these are mountain climbers going to the top of Everest, but still I assumed even trekkers along the foothills had to adapt to the elevation by waiting out time. Did you?
The highest point of the Langtang trek is about 4,000 meters or 13,000 feet. That isn't that high. You can easily acclimatize in the course of the trek. Of course it depends on the person. But you don't necessarily need to stay in Kathmandu for a week. There's tons to see there so it's a good idea to stay for a week just to explore around the area, but it isn't necessary for acclimatization.
Nope, I haven't been there. Sounds epic but tough to get to and it makes sense you would need a guide, because it's in Tibet. You can't travel independently anywhere in Tibet. You need a guide even if you go to Lhasa.

@@minemilx2702 If you've never been to Nepal and its mountains, you should go first without that gear. It's enough work just surviving comfortably every day.
