Appreciate a Batman fan actually portraying Daredevil's villains properly. Recognizing the similarities between the rogues galleries while also acknowledging that such similarities aren't as big as they initially appear, and that none are rip-offs. One thing I will say: Kingpin totally does go after Matt Murdock when he knows his identity. But he's more like a cat playing with a mouse. He doesn't want it to end. So he keeps his knowledge of DD's identity secret and constantly sabotages his life. In the last two runs, however, had Kingpin forget DD's secret identity entirely because of the children of the Purple Man.
I would say when frank miller was finished writing batman and daredevils is when the similarities were being shown. Other than that before none of it was really that similar as batman himself isn’t really a original concept as he’s kind of like a ninja tbh. Another thing is daredevil actually has powers but after the netflix show media fans believed he was just blind and able to do those things too
@@leopardtree2249 I was talking about the similarities of their rogues galleries, not as a whole. You're not wrong, but that wasn't what I was talking about
Honestly, I always see Bullseye to be similar to Deadshot, more so than the Joker. Sure, both of them aren't similar, but I always see them having some similar trait, due to both of them having gimmicks that involve aiming things, shooting things, or being a marksman ( With Deadshot using guns and Bullseyes using anything to throw with perfect range ), both wearing costume that represent their theme of a target, and both of them seem to work for anyone as a assassin, contract killer, or a mercenary. To me, Bullseye is always the equivalent to Deadshot for Daredevil.
I have to agree with your Nr.1 pick, Kingpin really is the best Daredevil villain if not the greatest mobster villain across comic books! He can be absolutely scary, but he can also be somewhat sympathetic too. Like the only thing I think you missed is his unique relationship with his wife and son. He's basically a completely different man when he's around them, gentle and kind. However unlike a lot of characters this isn't an act and he genuinely loves his family. I find that a fascinating juxtaposition.
I pretty much agree with the whole list. Personally, I do prefer Bullseye to Kingpin, as Bullseye is my favorite villain. That said, I think Kingpin is the second best character in Daredevil comics, just slightly below the Man without Fear himself. He’s got depth, he’s got a great design, and he’s the most intimidating villain in the New York underworld.
I'm surprised Mr Fear isn't on this list, he's pretty much Daredevil's Scarecrow but unlike Scarecrow, four different people have used the Mr Fear identity and none of them were doctors
He’s probably wasn’t included because he hasn’t really been a presence in Daredevil’s book since the Andy Diggle run, which is almost universally hated amongst the fanbase.
Perfect timing seeing as Daredevil is leaving Netflix in a very short bit. Though in my opinion the Netflix series spent too much time with Wilson Fisk. It had 3 full seasons and Bullseye didn't even get his own costume.
One Daredevil villain I consider very underrated is Gladiator, a deluded costume designer who became a super villain so he could prove he was better than any super hero. He has a very good development in the comics starting as villain but later having a redemption, deciding to reform and undergoing therapy from Betsy Beatty, who becomes his wife. He even help Daredevil in some stories.
Yeah, and his sad, sorry mental state where he is completely sympathetic and mentally ill really makes him seem like a Batman villain in some way, which is why I totally expected him to be on this list
@@TheVetoSkreeemer Good question. I don't think he ever show up again after Brubaker run, which is sad since the character has alot of potential for great stories.

But you could have at least honorable mentioned Stiltman, Gladiator, and Manbull. The only real problem is you left off the greatest DD and comics villain of all time. The owl definitely deserves more story arcs as a legitimate threat. Most adaptations just make the owl Kingpin’s capo at best and the rival Fisk kills offscreen to gain control at worst

I think these are all good villains especially The Owl. - Also Batman stole ideas from The Shadow perhaps more than anything else early on.
3rd
5 Hyde, 4 owl, 3 electro, 2 Jester, 1 Typhoid Mary, I do like many villains in daredevil's rouges gallery. I think Kingpin and Bullseye are good villains but a bit overused.
The kingpin is number one on my list.
My top 6 list would be : 6) The Owl 5) Purple Man (who doesn’t like a sociopathic hedonist and narcissist who can control anyone ?) 4) Typhoid Mary 3) Mister Fear / Larry Cranston (an upper class narcissist with a grudge against Matt Murdock who bested him in law school. He’s petty, clever (deduced who was Daredevil by himself) and ruthless (send Matt’s wife Milla in asylum after destroying her mind, just to ruin Matt’s life) and his the complete opposite to Matt (a brillant but amoral lawyer whose power is fear) 2) Bulllseye 1) Kingpin
Wheres Stiltman!??!?
Just so I don't repeat Mr. Rogues list, five DD villains that stuck out to me over the years include:
5. Micah Synn
4. Bushwhacker
3. Gadiator, Melvin Potter
2. Mister Fear
1. The Purple Man
Kingpin is really a Spider-Man villain, for gods sake don't let anyone tell you otherwise, especially not Frank Miller.
@Oswald Cobblepot He can, I just hope fans will remember he's a spider-man villain to, and I also hope fans will stop beiliving Frank Miller when he says "Kingpin was a joke before I wrote him in DareDevil" because that's bulls&*t.
You forgot stilt man
Wow he has more than 3. His Rogues Gallery is pitiful
Bullseye is my personal favorite, just doesn’t give a damn about anything
Nuke is a pretty good underused Daredevil villain although, at this point, I am not even sure he counts as a Daredevil villain anymore.

Hey for rip offs look what the Wonder Woman movies ripped off:WW1:Hero trained by well known character(Batman Begins),beloved relative dies to inspire hero(Spider Man),hero's not once called by super hero name(Man Of Steel),WW2.Science friend/worshipper who'll turn evil and become half an animal(Batman Forever,The Amazing Spider Man).
Kingpin and Bullseye are some of Marvel's best villains.
You forgot The Hand.
What about Stilt Man ??!!!
6:46 It's a shame they never put her in the show.
punisher
You missed the Stiltman!
The funniest Daredevil villain.
Whadabout the GLADIATOR??!??
