Maybe it's stylistic, like all Japanese comic characters looking like they use gallons of hairspray and their eyes taking up half of their faces.

Essentially yeah. Everyone complains about Batman’s code and says how it doesn’t work. Then usually those same people complain about Punisher which is weird to me. Punisher is a hero only in technicality. He’s not an Anti Hero either, he’s the rare Anti-Villain. He travels from place to place taking out criminals, dirty cops and corrupt government officials. His first appearance was fighting Spider-Man because he believed to lies from the Paper only stopping when he realized they were lies. He’ll kill even heroes if he thinks they’ll stop him. The End Justify the Means is his only code. He doesn’t believe he’s the good guy, but he believes he’s necessary. If the time ever came where he finally got rid of every criminal, he has one bullet left for himself

So I found both all three of your Zdarsky Daredevil dubs in one day today, and can I just say: This is phenomenal work right here. This is one of my favorite scenes from my favorite comic of all time, and the voicework here is perfect. (those musical flourishes in the background add so much to this, too.)

Great dub! Weird Frank gets taken out so easily here however. What he lacks in powers he's supposed to make up in tactics, seems like tying Matt up to an old gurney being the first and last line of defense for a street level hero known for his CQC expertise is kinda dumb.

@@HenrySchultzVA Could be all intentional if you want some narrative justification. If he really does believe Daredevil killed a guy, which he can confirm, Frank could have set the whole scenario up. Test the waters, and see if Daredevil is in denial or did actually kill someone. He's a hero, Frank knows he won't kill him. But if he did? If he finally crossed that line? Well, as Frank said, he would love to see what kind of man a Daredevil who kills could be. Even if it kills him. Because lets be honest, the Punisher has a bit of a death wish.
Or, you know, the writers dropped the ball. It happens.
