All Roland Fantom series sound amazing in the mix, that is my point of view. GREAT VIDEO!
@FELIXIONITA Yeap... nonetheless, to create new layers tweaking the sounds can create an endless scenes that can sound much better than the origianl from Roland. I wish I could find a forum for exchanging all of that.. Yet I miss once it was so much easier to tweak an oberhemeir Matrix or a roland juno 106 pad ( my #1 sounds) to create the ambience I want to. I shoulda never sold them...BTW, on the Fantom EX even sounds from Juno DI are found...but not the chimmes with EP.... Im not a prof , dont know to read music, just play some notes and combinantions that makes me feel good as a therapy..But just found I am not the only one on this page...Looking forward to finding a group dedicated to Roland Fantom sound creations..BTW, I havent tried sample etc..just got for less than a week..

Wow! Your FM piano 1 and MK80 Chorus patches are fantastic! I love my Roland Fantom 7...but miss some of those Yamaha DX'ish sounds. I would gladly pay for those, or instruction on how to create them with the Fantom. Keep up the great work!

Does Fantom 6 have RPS function which triggers sequencer patterns when the pads are pressed ?
I didn't find it in the user manual. It was available on Fantom X & Fantom G.
yes, you can add sampled part or wav file to the pad on new Fantom. If you use par mode on Sampling, you need to press Shift + pad mode and you can edit the sample file added to the pad. You can also directly record into fantom your phrase with sampling mode and add to the pad mode.
Great video! One questions: how do you get your strings preset to sound so natural? From watching so many presets online, it seems like the montage sounds more raw and not processed (if that makes sense). Would you please be kind enough to let me know if you've adjusted any parameters and which strings preset you built it on? Thanks!

Does anyone use the 16 pads for anything at all? They seem to be just hanging there.
I think they can be useful for triggering loops, samples etc. in live situations. They are not velocity sensitive, which limits their use, for example drum programming, a lot. For me, in my home studio, they just hang there and look cool and colorful. 😎😂
Maybe they can be useful in DAW control, haven't tried it out yet. 🤷♂️
you can you on a performance to change the sounds or parts or use them to make a small sequence like record something on them, but they have plenty of use :)

I usually love Roland synths. But I’m not too impressed with theses bread and butter sounds. The strings and pianos don’t wow me. Sounds like the Integra-7 a little. But the vintage sounds are good.
Ok, but that sounds are not just ready when you buy the fantom, you have a ton of tone sounds but the scene are really useful. So you need to create by yourself, even if is a very simple (but helpful) sound
