I just wrote Chevy , your making their products look dang good. Told them they should look at sponsoring you, at least give you a awd van to use. Everyone else do the same .
How did you contact Chevrolet so I can do the same?
Richard McCombs same
Heck, I could personally use a van or pick-up truck myself
Let me know who to email I'll help out too.
Great idea! How to contact?
WOW !!! This guy just amazes me! I wish I was clever, brave and courageous like him.. It is amazing how he is remains calm and collected with all his dangerous and risky adventures. Keep on inspiring. Always remain safe and in good health. My best wishes and prayers to you and your family.
God bless!!!
W.H.O.: “Everyone needs to socially distance themselves, no matter how awful it seems!”
Foresty: >Shrugs
Hes been doing that for years lol
What a great video. Upbeat and optimistic as always. Stay safe.
BURRY YOURSELF!
I'm an introvert myself but I have to admit sheltering in place in my house for the last week is making me depressed .. I'm seriously ready for life to get back to normal again ….I will never take life , freedom and good health for granted again ...
Loud painful exploding bowel movements lmao 😂
Watching you is what all us isolaters need now Foresty! If you're not careful you'll become a folk hero! You are an undaunted adventurer! A mountain of thanks for taking us with you.
"- Jamie pull this up" - Oh i dont have a Jamie ;)
uturkaos was it a joe Rogen reference?
@@thadwickchodeman8436 I wondered the same thing. :)
I always appreciate a "Jamie pull this up" reference.
so good
I think soon FF can soon afford a Jamie of his own as his videos gain popularity. Jamie could do all the stuff FF doesn't feel like doing, for example clean the slow cooker.

People in my town (it snows a handful of times a year): “I have to have AWD on my car, it’s the only way I can drive in the snow!”
You: Literally drives to the North Pole with a FWD mini van. 😅
Loved living in Inuvik, went to Aklavik a bunch of times....Go in the spring for the Arctic char
Hope you eventually make enough from this to get an Earthromer, Forest.
What can you do. They’re really hot. But yeah, I know what you mean. I’d love to see Forest get a solid upgrade to his vehicle.
@@yosefitche Just means issues. You push it and then it fails on you in the middle of absolute nowhere. It's much smarter to go where you can go with a damn Minivan and walk the rest.
I'm shocked it made it at all. Uplanders are bunk.
"Somewhere between zilch and diddly squat" - this man has got a way with words.
"I hope my crockpot is not lonely without me"
Made me laugh.
Oh yeah, we Canadians have some sayings.... like “feels like there’s nothin between me & the North Pole but a barbwire fence and some fool left the gate open.”
It was pretty creepy when you were going into that cabin. My overactive imagination was making me expect to see a frozen hiker huddled up in the corner or something.
Seeing you in their would of freaked me out for sure.
sometimes i have problems with feeling alone. your videos always seem to help with that. i hope you can feel so much people are watching you and traveling with you, through these videos.
I"m coming to the conclusion you're the best on UA-cam
Just found him myself and I agree!
@@CabinDweller Right? FF DEFINES the ideal content creator on YT. No bullshit, 100% real, hardcore. He's a beast!

1. The view when you were driving over that ice road... wow.
2. All the amazing things you get to see (and we get to see through your lens) is truly beyond words. Northern Canada is a gorgeous place.
3. National Geographic needs to hire you asap.
4. Chevy needs to sponsor you because no one could ever make one of their vehicles look so good.
Those Uplanders are terrible! could not recommend em due to the extensive transmission issues!
Foresty Forest, man you are hardcore, that, or crazy lol.
I have video of forest in the hotel the same day, he is an asshole irl.

dear foresty, i'm currently in medical services of the swiss army fighting covid-19. this video was a refreshing distraction, thanks mate! keep your distance to the crock pot though, i think i heard it coughing in the background..

The PR campaign is awful good if you think the extremely low death rate compared a dozen other diseases that happen at the same time which some are blamed for the corona.
@@safffff1000 the PR campaign IS awfully good, they've got everyone so scared, that most people aren't taking a step back to really look at what's going on.
CS F What’s really going on? Tell me.
@SeanPrestonFed or most people are really taking it serious, including the "Orange twat" and the only people overreacting are those who think no one else is taking it serious. The "Orange twat" must have taken it pretty serious to stop travel well before everyone else. You remember, back when the mainstream parrots called him racist for doing so. Perhaps we all realize the serious risks to those with compromised immune system and other health problems and the majority of people are taking the necessary steps to protect themselves and their loved ones, to their best ability. Oh and without feeling that it's necessary to tell the world every 5 seconds how serious they're taking it. Here's something else to consider. When someone says they want to have a country back up and running by a certain date, the key word is "want." Goals for 2020 - Use a little common sense. I know it's asking a lot.
Why? Why are we bringing American politics into a Canadian channel? What is going on?
That cabin has horror movie written all over it.
CharlieGeorge Like The Thing 1982
It’s not big enough. It would be a short movie lol
AxelArigato yes😱
Any Yukoner (Like me) would have said do the Hike and don't say over because of that exact reason...
I still thought he should have stayed in it !!!!! I wonder if he brings lighter fluid type starter stuff. Kindling.
I spent 42 days climbing Denali in Alaska....up the north side, down the south side....our trip started with 50 mile hike from Wonder lake. We hauled little kids plastic toboggan behind us up and over. Tip: put your boots in your sleeping bad with you. We didn’t use any heat source in our tents, igloos or snow caves. Great video, I always enjoy watching as Father Time has caught up with me. I do live in a self converted van though; 43 months now. Amazing trip video, keep them coming.
Foresty Forest, the master of social distancing. We all envy you man! thx for the videos
Can't say as I envy him, but I sure do admire him and enjoy him. :)
Makes me appreciate having a home and ciblings around... Such a great personality treat to be able to be alone and happy like him
“I was tempted to go in the cabin and spoon with that rat to warm up.” 😂
It's the funniest thing I ever heard on youtube! Lol
ForestyForest was social distancing before it was cool. Glad you're doing well. Thanks for the video.
It's fake though, he's on a tv show. I recorded him.
Blu Phone lol
Need a 4 season expedition tent so there’s not so much wind blowing straight on you. Canadian Tire has a 2 person that goes on sale quite often for around $160. Model is called Pinnacle. All the mesh has zip up panels, so you can control ventilation. Love it!
Ok .. I can breathe now ... Foresty Forest is ok!
Foresty..I seem to be channelling RM Patterson with his epic Nahanni tales of winter trips. Excellent and happy pandemic times from Victoria - the daffodils are in bloom and the Victory Garden is installed with the sugar snap peas making an appearance.
DANG it forestry, you make me feel proud to know you!!! You one heck of a human mountain Goat. Your camera work and shots with no previous footsteps......Thats what got me to watching you when you were in my boy hood neck of the woods up around the Eastern Sierras/ Death Valley was awesome....
This guy must be in super good shape to be able to handle the elements the way he does.I am just in awe of this guy. He is amazing. I could not imagine doing what he does.
Just love these videos.
2:00 I love that silence, but i love that space even more
I live in and LOVE Montana. The sound of silence is something I have grown to Love & Cherish. Please come enjoy our happiness.
That expedition really stressed me out. Glad you're back home in your trusty Chevy.
Yes me too but it was wonderful at the same time lol
You're the real deal brother - living the dream and admire you for it...oh, and I love your sense of humor - stay safe mate
@Foresty Forest. My dad was an alpinist and a mountain guide. From a young age I followed him up rock faces and cliffside until I was older enough to help on his guided trips to summits. I spent my summers laying in his pull out bed in the back of our Plymouth Voyager Van while we drove from rack crag to mountain base. Your videos have taken me back to a child and all I want to do is give up my life and change to this lifestyle. Thank you for the nostalgia.
This channel is addictive. I’ve got nothing done today aside from watching it. Wait I did take a nap.
This is truly your finest video on all levels. Well done!
The snow covered mountains are so very beautiful thanks for hiking up there for us I would have never made it.
Forest is alive everyone, we can breathe now! Glad you're continuing your adventures, your videos are an awesome escape.
😲 Wow you have ballz of steel my friend I just can't believe how you enjoy driving to all these remote places just to hike up mountains by yourself 😨! Everyone's different!
Was getting worried, going to ring Inuvik and ask if they could smell very slow cooking.
haha me too.
Foresty Forest, I'm so spoiled, I wouldn't even think about sleeping out there without a way to have a hot water bottle (or two). I may have to reheat it a few times if it is really cold. Being able to get a few hours of restful sleep is priceless.
Beautifully filmed and edited! Great adventure in the winter cold.
Your van deserves alot of respect for being so reliable. Think about that. Excellent video Forest.
damn your cinematics are insane
You are a braver soul than I, spending the night in a tent in the frozen tundra.

Your "lord" has nothing to do with this.
Oh, glory. The god haters never miss an opportunity to be a dark cloud. 🙄
Just watched this classic F.F. four years later 😊. Great adventure but what a tiny 2WD van back then!!
I am a new subscriber- I have to say this is the best channel I have come across. These videos are so interesting and the footage is absolutely beautiful !!! You have such a calm positive demeanor and you are such good energy. I like to watch your videos while I’m relaxing after a long day. It puts me in such a good head space! God bless you. Stay safe and enjoy your adventures. I enjoy watching you !!!
Wow! Those panoramic views were breathtaking! TY
If this had been a Disney cartoon, you, the rat, and the crock pot would have fixed up the cabin into pristine shape during a musical number montage, and then had a nice, warm, cozy evening together.
You are so lucky to be able to do this. This is a great reminder for people to do what they love early in life before it is too late.
Grandparents: We walked 5 miles in the snow, up hill to go up school.
Foresty: I'm going to hike 10.5 miles in the snow and ice, up a mountain just for fun.
Ya its different when you have to do it 5 days a week, month after month, no matter what the weather conditions are.
amazing Canadian Arctic mountains climbing. Looks very cold 🥶 but it's not stopping foresty forest
2001: A Space Odyssey! :) Monolith... Best music ever!
Wow serious respect for sleeping up there! No burner or gas heater
This stuff is gold man. Just found your channel, loving it. I was actually thinking about heading up that way around now but not sure, currently in Vancouver and trying to decide what to do. It would be nice to get out of the city and into nature but times are weird, hard to know what's the right move. In the meantime it's good to have something to watch from someone getting out there and having some adventures while I'm stuck indoors. Keep exploring.
Thanks man! Yeah its tough right now to do anything. I'm pretty much stuck in Whitehorse, traveling through the smaller communities is a big no no. I think the borders are closed to visitors as well. Not a good time to have a UA-cam channel based on traveling 😕 Sounds like this is only the beginning.
Last summer I first saw mr.forest ride his fat bike from Calgary down the continental divide trail thinking who is this crazy ass guy ? Been so fired up ever since to see your channel grow keep up the awesome work man
The real cabin was the friends you made along the way.
VP - Just wanted to say thanks for turning me on to Foresty
tipiring same
Yeah, me too. Thanks for the shout out to Foresty. Wondering when you start using a slow cooker too.
Yep me too.
Agreed, thanks VP!!
I hot tented for the first time this winter. Luxe tent with inner..maybe 4lbs..3W stove..same, about 4lbs. I liked it a lot. Will continue to pack and use it. HOWEVER..you do need a decent supply of wood. So either packing some, or you’re sure you can find it out on the trail. Also, it’ll warm up the tent as long as you’re awake to feed the fire. If you have nice hard wood and set the damping just right, it’ll last a while but not nearly all night. No matter what, you will feel the full brunt of the cold while sleeping. But in the morning, as long as you still have tinder/kindling/fuel, you can get warmed up again. They’re nice to cook on, as well. Awesome video! I just hiked 3 miles to my spot in the mountains of NH..you did like, over 10 miles! Badass. Weight management is important but like you said, some comfort is nice to look forward to. I just liked and subbed
Great video as always! That "Thus Spake Kazoothra" had me in stitches!
I am so glad you are Okay. I was so nervous for you overnight. I am so glad you are warm and cozy back in your van.
Jesus Christ mate... I would have shit my pants. You’re a bloody legend!
An inflated sleeping pad with a solid R rating would be a good start. Insulate you from the ground. A four season tent(not a hot tent) would be another step to take. But above all a cold weather bag (Sub zero in Fahrenheit) would be a game changer.
Some will knock REI gear but I personally love mine. www.rei.com/product/157892/rei-co-op-flash-thermal-sleeping-pad
I think you're onto the right idea. My Enigma down quilt is pretty warm... but maybe if i bought a summer sleeping bag, i could have a two layer outfit. Definitely need a better mattress too.
Brilliant video Foresty, stay safe out there!
That ending van/tracking shot it great
Buy a paraglider so when your reach the summit of a peak you can paraglide back to the van lol. Really enjoy the videos keep up the good work and stay safe.
I have spent a fair bit of time in the north and I tell you , Foresty is doing what often even professional adventures would balk at . Great work ..again .
Been waiting all WEEK for an upload from you
Waking up to both a new Foresty Forest and a Steve Wallis vid.... This day cant get any better....

I so wish I had the guts to do what you are doing. Used to have a little but now don't have any and I so miss the serenity of being in the mountains alone like you are doing. Keep it up. At least I can live it through you. Stay safe and warm.
i just shake my head in wonder...it's (what you do) unbelievable !!!
I received your sticker and t-shirt. Thanks Foresty Forest. Man at time like this staying away from other people would be a luxury right know! -Siv
Keep it up. You are an inspiration for all of us. Just get out there, life won't hurt you.
He goes all Ice Road Trucker, in a minivan! LOL. Awesome drone/vehicle shots.
The world is crazy right now... no one can work, all airports are closed, and Foresty has a video without a crockpot in it. GOOD GOD WHAT PLAGUE SHALL BE NEXT?!?!?! :D
Thank you, Forest, loving your excursions and mountain views. I like to climb around Colorado a couple times a month. Looking forward to snowshoe season soon. I plan trips and hikes out of a truck shell. I've done some 4 season pulk/tent camping at altitude in every winter month, great fun.
My advice would be a double walled, 1 man, maybe 44 inch high dome tent. Shiny space blanket on the floor, but also suspend one from the ceiling. A 3000 BTU catalytic heater at the feet, such as my old Black Cat, makes a nice infrared bath in there. Turn it off to sleep, but with a fat sleeping bag behind you while it's on, you can take a bath in there. A black base layer soaks up the infrared and you're toasty. A single one pound bottle will have enough for a couple of evenings, and in the mornings a half hour will make it too hot to stay in the bag. You might contrive to hang your boots upside down over the heater in the morning. Heavy steel wood stove not required.
You're tenacious man .... Great content 👍
You're living the life, Foresty. Thanks for making us a part of it.
What a relief! It's been a long time since your last video. I feared you had been eaten by polar bears who were attracted to your slow cooker.
Thank you so much for traveling and sharing your adventures. The crockpot is a good thing. From Bakersfield California USA
"meat popsicle" LOL so funny. but wow man, you are brave.
We were on a family cruise and rented a Jeep and drove to Carcross from Skagway. It was a magnificent drive and I'm definitely going back and taking my time.
"Just Thawing out some breakfast in my jacket"
No need for a heater when your canadian lol
For mountain winter conditions you really need a tent with a solid breathable inner (eg minimal mesh). These will better block the wind and stay warmer inside too which helps. A foam mat like a thermarest z lite sol or similar is also a good investment to put under your normal sleeping mat setup to insulate the even colder ground.
Another tip would be to carry an avalanche shovel and dig the tent into the snow/construct a windbreak after pitching.
Even in summer I like to carry an emergency bivy bag (orange with foil lining) that I can put inside my sleeping bag if it's getting much colder than I expected, you get a bit sweaty but if it's between you and your sleeping bag you avoid the sleeping bag getting soaked, and it will most certainly keep you warm.
Thank God you’re back, we missed you!
I love your videos!! I am so impressed with how you capture the simplicity of your life. Wonderful camera work and shots of your surroundings. The mountain shots are fantastic! Thanks for being so entertaining!!
Thanks Connie 😊
That strange red rock you passed on your summit looks like a thrombolite. They're only in Newfoundland and Australia I think but you may have discovered a new one!!
I was wondering what it was too. Anyone have a clue?
Ive been using my slow cooker to reheat frozen batch food, just take the big ceramic pot out and put the bowl in, works a treat, as long as you can get your fingers around to get it out.....great days
