I wish someone would do a video like this for those interested in open wheel, like F1 & IndyCar. I’m thinking about joining and trying iRacing, but the website doesn’t seem to layout a clear plan or pathway to where someone wants to go. It looks like a great sim service.
I’m in class D, I’m having difficulty finding many races that I can compete in to meet my MPR.. any advice? Or just keep running same couple races to advance? Seems there is much more content when your a C class,,, ? Thanks
hey i just started playing like 4 days ago on and currently it says I'm rookie, but I'm able to race in class c right now and I really just wanna do oval and road, how do I get into the competitive like cup races for points
i stuck since weeks in c and get no sr even if i finish with 0 inc. i get +0.03 sr or something like that and than another race i finished with 4 inc ( one hit cause one spin infront of me) and get -0,1 ...... feels not right , i dont get it
Good video! I pretty much understand the rating system. My question is: when I’m trying to select a race, I notice that half of the races don’t qualify for points to move up in class. The other half are races I have to buy a car or track. Do you know why they don’t give points?
Thanks for watching and I hope this helped you understand the rating processes within iRacing!
No way! I didn't know Landon did iracing videos before his current ones. That's cool
As someone who’s going to be jumping into this stuff, this is pretty damn helpful. Thanks for making this!
No problem man! Thank you for watching!
Thank you! Nobody except you told me that as a rookie I dint have Irating! I was so confused why I cant see mine haha

I could look into making more videos regarding stepping stones in iRacing if you feel there is a market for it!
Love your vlogs. If you crash while practicing for a race, does it affect your safety rating?
Thank you for your help, advice and channel.
Thanks u explain what I was looking for

My advice would be not to worry about irating yet. Focus on safety rating. Race clean first and the rest will fall into suit.

When I hit the Mpr, I don’t see anything on how to progress class?

Bob Baker the races that do not help you qualify for a new class are races that don’t count towards rating! They are only for fun!
Total Advantage
I understand that. I just think there are too many “fun” events.
I need a 4.0 sr to get promoted to class c ?
