My husband, cuñado, and I visited there on Saturday morning and saw you guys. It was like a celebrity sighting! I didn't want to interrupt Nelson, who was filming, but I did go over to Terry and spoke with her for a few mins. She was so sweet!! It was my first orchid show. I went a little crazy and bought home a dozen orchids. Krull-Smith is amazing.
I’m glad you made it out there. The place is spectacular. For that being your first orchid show, you picked a great one. I felt like a celebrity. Lol! I did not record a thing on Friday because I spent most of the day meeting viewers and taking pictures. It was allot of fun. But I was drained by Sunday.
Nice show thanks for sharing
Such an amazing event and once again thank you Nelson for taking us along!
My pleasure Curlene. 💚
Gold Country Orchids is an awesome place. Alan and his family have built a great business and gorgeous greenhouses!! You can't miss with an orchid from them!!! They are just south of me, been there many times. 🏆
Yes indeed! Alan is not only knowledgeable in orchids, but an awesome auctioneer. He was so funny! He had us all in tears. Super funny and very witty. He was very kind to give me a beautiful Dendrobium twinkle as a gift of appreciation for what I do for the orchid community with my videos. He is a true gentleman with a great heart. 👍🏼
@@naturenel Yes indeed... He is quite the comedian when he wants to be. 🤣
I really think the most amazing orchids in this video, were the watercolor ones by Aaron Apsley. What a talent! He does even ship internationally, which is awesome.
I agree! I’m very much obsessed with his work. I can’t wait for Tamiami International orchidFair in Miami. They will be there.
Lindo video ❤😊
Awesome awesome awesome 🎉🎉🎉, thank you for sharing.🎉🎉
Your are welcome. 💚
Lovely video thanks for sharing.
excellent place and very nice video, happy to have found us and greet you personally, greetings wish Tampa💚
Hi Greity. Great meeting you as well. Hope you had a wonderful time there. 🤗

Nelson, you make my days better. Thanks for all the beautiful videos you produce.
Awe! I’m glad to hear that. 🤗💚🤗
Beautiful group ❤️ 💕.
Thank you!🫶🏼
I have both of the Oncidiums you highlighted at Gold Country and they're really nice and reliable bloomers. I'm glad that Gold Country is in my neck of the woods because Alan is great to talk to. I would definitely break the bank at that fair, especially on those novelty Phals.
love the video. Gold Country orchids is probably 1.5hrs away from me!!! I would not have know that without watching this video! Thank you Nelson for showcasing these great venders.
Thad awesome! I guess you’ll be taking a road trip to Gold Cost soon. 🤗
🤣🤣🤣🤣 OMG Nelson... I'm taking that one and that one! 😂😂😂😂
Yup! That’s exactly how we feel there. Lol!😅
Another great KS video
Thanks buddy!💚
So many pretty Plants and u people made it fun😊
It was a riot this weekend. The Orchid Disney!🤩🤗🤪
What a fun weekend you guys had. I’m going to try for the spring one. So many beautiful orchids and the artist was amazing. Thank you💚💚💚
The Spring Show is the one with the most blooms. Everything in the greenhouses are in full bloom. Also way more to buy😉 Aaron is a spectacular artist. I don’t think he knows how great he is.
Amazing thank you so much for sharing ❤🌸
💚🙏🏼💚
I absolutely enjoyed watching this video. Aaron's details on the watercolour orchids are stunning. His attention to details is breathtaking. Thank you Nelson for this enjoyable tour.🙏🏽🤗💖✨💖.
His work is my new obsession. Can’t wait to see his booth at Tamiami. They will be there.
@@naturenel Awesome. I am new to your channel and looking forward to that tour for sure. Here's to your continued success.💖💖💖
Lol,
Great show Nelson
Thank you!💚💚
Again, one day I will attend one of these shows! 😂 From the orchid vendors, to the artists, to the orchid supplies, you guys have it all! Absolutely incredible 💚
Im hoping for that day. It would definitely be a very busy time going to all the nurseries and shows. Spring is a good time! January is the Tamiami International Orchid Show. And in May it’s the Redland Orchid International Show.
Nel, another great orchid video. Thanks for travelling up to Apopka.
My pleasure. I look forward every year to this event. There is nothing like it anywhere. 🤗
Enjoyed watching your video. Can't wait to see what you decided to add to your collection!
What didn’t I add. Lol!😆 DAMAGE!
Wow! It's Dayaneth of Ecuagenera! She has always been accommodating & helpful.
She is a sweetheart. The whole family at Ecuagenera is precious. Her mom is awesome! Love love love her. 💚💚💚
❤❤so nice orchids
Wow! What a beautiful place at Krull Smith orchids. I had such fun watching Nelson😄🙌💞
I had so much fun filming it. 🤗
Great video
Thanks Michael!👍🏼
Great Video Nel and fantastic show. I went on Sunday and bought a Cattleya Dinard Blue Heaven and a Heaven’s gate from Krull Smith. I also bought a couple bare root cats from Ecuagenera, beautiful healthy looking plants. Thank you for giving us such great quality videos!
You are very welcome! Glad you were able to attend the fair. That showroom is everything. 💚💚💚
Omg, first time seeing Aaron Apsley, He is very popular artist in Aroid plants. Pretty much anyone into aroid know him and his art.
He is very gifted. 👍🏼
I really love painting and orchids too. So I really respect that person who painting orchids. Oh my god! This video is my favorite in your channel.
Wasn’t he amazing! Aaron Apsley art is now my new favorite obsession. I plan to buy some original work from him at the Tamiami Orchid Show in January. 🎉
@@naturenel He's amazing for sure. His paintings are just like photographs. Good for you to buy some because those paintings are perfect for the orchid lover's house.😍
It was a lot of fun so many great orchids and friends! Yes you got me always looking for blue orchids 😂. Great seeing you again 🤗
That was really funny. The same thing happend at Redlands. That moment was very ADD for me. So many people in one tent and all that beauty while trying to film. Lol!
Thank You for taking us along. My husband was disappointed we didn’t go.I just went to 2 orchid shows and I have limited space.Plus I’am still killing the Cattleya orchids.I know it’s the watering but I just can’t figure it out.I want to go to Palmers Orchid open house this month.Krull Smith had amazing Orchids.I fertilized my Pink Princess and guess what?New leaves are coming.Thank Tou for the advice 🤗😉.I hope to make Krull Smith in January 2024.Take Care!Rest Up
Try repotting your Cattleyas In terracotta pots with the slits on the side. Use only charcoal and volcanic rock. That should make it better. Also try mounting on wood. It’s amazing what it does.
I have the Cattleya’s in terracotta pots with lava rock and an orchid mix from Sundance Orchid nursery.Jillian said I should water every 7 days but it’s like over 100 degrees in the sunroom.I have 75 percent shade cloth.Maybe if I buy another Cattleya I will do just the lava rock and charcoal like you suggest.Thx Nelson Your the Best!
what a lovely group!
💚
💗👍✨😊😊💖🌞💥
💚💚💚
Great video - thank you. Darlene was new to your videos. She was fun and obviously likes slipper orchids, which is different from many Florida collections, and it would be interesting for you to do a home visit with her.
Darlene lives in another state. Lol!
Riiiight, so THAT's what the "mainshow" cultivar means on my gorgeous Phal equestris. It's the grower of origin. Mystery unexpectedly solved.
29:19 u would have missed it!! Wow
I know. I was overwhelmed with so much happening at one time in a small space. Lol!
I just this past week found your channel, and I watch it every day!! I LOVE going along with you and your friends as you drool over each GORGEOUS orchid!! But Nelson, I am blaming you for having ordered $165 worth of new orchids recently!!! I was in an orchid hunting frenzy 🥹😳😬😁
Lol! $165 is not bad at all. Good shopping for orchids. Orchids are our medicine and you can’t put a price on good health. I swear ever since I began growing and now up to more than 600 orchids, I feel I’m happier and healthier than ever. So enjoy your new arrivals. I’ll take that blame any day. 🫶🏼
He doesn’t say so, but I’m pretty sure my husband thinks I’m insane because of my obsession with plants. I have so many, inside the house and out. I probably have about 100 violets at any one time, and always propagating more. I think I have about 20 plumerias, and about 20 orchids. I just started collecting orchids in the last year and a 1/2, after I tried to save someone’s dying orchid, and failed miserably!! I felt compelled to study everything about them and try to keep one alive. I sometimes purposely rescue orchids from our local Lowes and Home Depot stores, and try to bring them back to health. I’ve made a lot of mistakes , and lost a few along the way, but I’m much better at it now! I have a few of my phals in spike right now, and am looking eagerly forward to seeing them bloom again! I feel just like you about my plants. They make me feel happy, excited, healthy, and fulfilled when I collect them and care for them. We are going to move to Florida soon, and I cannot wait to fill my space with more orchids and other tropical plants. My plumerias will be in HEAVEN there!
I think it has been one of the videos and the trip that you have had is super fun. I never tire of saying it. The orchid community is magnificent. Thank you Nelson, Tere, Melisa, everyone for showing the beauty of that world of wonderful orchids and I loved it. Tere's therapy 😂 and you are behaving well, keep going I love it❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! I truly had the best time of all the visits. It was incredible how there was not one dull moment. That’s why I keep calling it Orchid Disney. They really are.💚
I hope you got the $300 beautiful orchid 💖 because is no-brainer lol 😊
I did not! It wait till you see the haul. I’m still processing it all. Lol!😎
Awesome show. You three are a hoot together.
Thank you! We had a blast. These two girls were awesome to hang out with.
Beautiful show. Thank you, Nelson, for explaining care and differences in orchids. You and Theresita make a great show together. Even I appear on a show.
Thank you! You know for me education is priority. But when we go to these grand events we are like children. So I worry I may miss out on the educational value of my channel. So thank you very much for that. I appreciate you. 🤗
I loved this video. It actually captured how much fun we had!! I love the bloopers!!! Lololol 🎉 I’m ready for more!!
Are you having withdrawals? I am. Lol! It was so much fun. I believe this is the most fun I had in the 3 years I’ve been visiting Krull-Smith. In one word…”Magical”. 🪄
You guys are having so much fun 💕.
🎉🎉🎉🤩🤩🤩
Phragmipedium need to be moist at all times and they like it to be cool and indirect medium light. Love your videos 😘❤
Sounds like how I keep my Phals. Thanks for the advice. I still don’t own one. Believe it or not. But I will!😏
Do it😍
Omg, so much fun to go along with you and the girls love it. Looking forward to everyone haul.💚
Everyone? I believe it’s only my haul. lol!!! We both bought way too much to do Teresita’s haul like last time. But we are planning a home visit soon. So I’ll have her show what she got there. This past weekend was amazing through and through.
@@naturenel Lol . Well then yours you’re my #1 UA-camr anyway.💚
Beautiful orchids. Looks like you had fun. I am excited to see your haul.
You have no idea Jode. The haul is going to blow you away. 🤩🤩🤩
I just saw a Sarchochilus orchid on Hello Plant Lovers. So pretty. I'm tempted to purchase one. Do you have one? Great Orchids at Krull-Smith's fall event. Beautiful.
I do not own Sarchocchilis. They are absolutely amazing. I want to get a couple and try them out here. They are native to similar environment as mine. They are found in Australia, Philippines, and widespread in most parts of Asian countries. They do need at least 40% humidity. They do well on rocks. They are sort of semi terrestrial. I may experiment with volcanic rock and charcoal. I’ll be looking for them at Tamiami International Show. They may have them there.
Awesome. Have u made the space for the new babues . Just love you both. Can't waut to see the haul.
The new babies are pretty much all out away. Thanks god I had cleaned and organized the shadehouse before going. I made allot of space. But I did some damage. 😁
@@naturenel Oh no they will bounce back and be fine.
I had to share this vid with several friends, I hope you don't mind Nelson... 💚😏😅
Mind? Robert you help me out when you share. I’m in gratitude. 🙏🏼 Thank you.
@@naturenel I didn't think you'd mind... When I was on Twitt, I shared your vids quite often. Back when you were just getting started with YT. 👍🏻
Oh I just went crazy for bulbophyllum and ordered up a storm from Krull Smith , Everyone had wonderful plants ❣ Thank you …would like to have you show all yours and how you water and feed them . This is dangerous just watching lol 😂
It was magical!
Mainshow feeds a lot of your favorite nurseries. I don't understand how you would not know who they are. 😕
morning nelson, thanks for the tour. Recently was also considering a phrag but they grow bigger than paphs, they need more warmth all year and they are heavy drinkers so not the most appealing characteristics for my cool climate. I grow cymbidiums but your comment made me laugh a little, how does one water a cymbidium. Well luckily that is something I never had to figure out. They do amazing in self watering pots and can easily drink 200 ml of water in a week. My cattleya pots cannot hold 200 ml so I'd have to water more than once a week to provide that otherwise. I guess that answers my question, that is how one waters a cymbidium, constantly trying to keep up with them I guess 😀
I have also been looking at the bulbophyllum lobbii this month and am tempted. I heard it's one of the few nice smelling bulbo's. Do you have a lobbii? Oh and I meant to ask you, on your last video at krull smith Julian was showing a yellow spider looking flower and you said "oh yeah you just showed that on instagram recently" and then julian started rambling on about god knows what instead of mentioning for those who don't follow julian what it was called...
Hey! Actually my cymbidiums are in Cattleya pots and Spag Moss. I like to water so I need good drainage. The two I own are doing wonderful. I’m super happy to grow them well. I was afraid of them cause I killed all the ones I had. But back then I knew a third of what I know today. In refrende to the spider flower on the video, I have no idea what flower you are referring too. Sorry. I do have the lobbii. I believe it’s spiking.
@@naturenel ok thanks. I will see if I can find out. It looked a bit like a bulbphyllum but maybe it wasn't. It was a yellow flower with red stripes running down it and it reminded me of the spiderman logo. Google to the rescue, it is a Bulbophyllum-inunctum (yellow)
I wonder if you could please tell me if you know the name of the large aroid that looks like it’s in a garden bed behind Teresita at 4:42?
It’s the one that’s very large, greenwood looks like maybe yellow vein… Seems like when you were filming there was a bunch in the Landscape/Garden they have there.? It’s gorgeous.!
You must be talking about Golden Lutea Elephant Ear Plant (alocasia). I have a couple myself in the yard. I started with 1 and have spread the offsprings around the yard.
@@naturenel thank you so very much for this answer! I have it in my yard too, but I think it’s in too much shade because mine doesn’t have that vivid yellow as much contrasted I the leaves as the ones there and mine is much smaller …and I’ve had a few years , lol I think it needs more sun! You know what they say right plant right place !!Really enjoy your channel. Great job.!!thank you!!👍🙏❤️
Hi Nel you are funny, your video of beautiful orchids is amazing. Pls give me name of vendor that I can order on line or by phone and mail order. Thank you
I put vendors in my description box below. Most of them ship in the US. Krull Smith and Ecuagenera ship within the US.
