    Had the chrystallinum on the top.of my wishlist for about 6 years now and made a very loud, very embarrassing and very, very happy noise in a big box store today, when i saw one single chrystallinum amongst some spathiphyllums. Also found a random baby silver blush between a ton of begonias. My buddy was so confused and amused by my joy, he decided to gift them to me, which makes them even more special. It's save to say i had the best day ever. So grateful you are sharing your experience i caring for them ❤️

    Thanks for the tips! Your anthuriums looks really good. I only have one, but seems to be doing okay in soil and not too much sun. :P

      Hi Ang, definitely give it a go! It might be challenging at the beginning but once they acclimatize, it'll be much better. I haven't yet lost an anthurium plant (except one baby seedling) - even though 2 had suffered root rot and one came infested with pests. They're actually quite hardy!

    Hi, great video! I have a quick question for you, could you please tell me why the leaves of my anthurium forgetii X crystallinum turning yellow. It's in leca and sits near the window. Checked roots yesterday as I thought the yellow leaves are sign of too much water/root rot but those roots look very healthy. I'm bit confused 😥

    I have a antherium "fingers", it gets medium light, and average 55 to 60 humidity. The tips brown although the substrate is lightly moist. Any tips?

      In that case it might just be acclimatising to your space :) it does this often when there is a change in humidity levels

    Getting the light right with certain anthuriums, like the stubby jewel ones, has been a journey. They just don't like too much light.

    Besides plants, I collect nail polish as well. I’m curious what polish you are wearing?

      Hi Jess! You and I are similar in that regard 😆 it's from a brand called Wildflower and the colour is 'Bloom from within'. It's my favourite colour atm but sadly I think it's no longer in production. I can't seem to find it anywhere 😕

    Hey just wondering if you have any tips for growing in MAB?

    • @MyFellowFoliage
      @MyFellowFoliage  Рік тому

      Hey there yes I do actually since I've converted some of my plants to MAB and they've really thrived in my environment. I could make a video about that if you like!

    • @lewisharvey8300
      @lewisharvey8300 Рік тому

      @@MyFellowFoliage a video would be greatly appreciated! I feel there's a lack of info on growing in MAB.
      I'm currently using an indoor greenhouse with 12 hours of full spec light, 2 fans, 80% humidity, and temps of 18 - 23C.
      I treat the MAB like I would soil, using a watering can to water when it dries out. Which at this point would be weekly. But recently I've had multiple different anthuriums get yellow spots on the leaves, leading to entire leaves yellowing off.
      Am I simply over watering or could my humidity be too high for these colder months?

    I personally think the coloration will be due to the genetics and form of the Anthirum. Adaptations take generations to form. Brown tips can also be from fungal infections, such as with calathea and begonias. I've noticed personally that heart shaped leaves seem to be very sensitive to fury burn, is it just me?

    • @MyFellowFoliage
      @MyFellowFoliage  2 роки тому

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I only have heart shaped leaves and quite a number of them are sensitive to fert burn so it's probably not just you!
