    Love the honesty. 100% accurate as to the findings out there in relation to replacing parts vs repairing which is a concern.

    Wish all plumbers/boiler services were as good and thorough as this guy. Superb. If only you were close to Liverpool I'd be on the phone now!

    Love your thoroughness and the way you talk to the customer, he trusts you 110% and you have a customer for life. He clearly had zero trust in the guys that came before. They clearly had not serviced it properly not noticing the gas supply line was below spec - amongst other things.😳 Keep up the good work.👍

    I was just about to ask you all about expansion vessel sizing for the property size etc then you answered it perfectly
    Another great video 👊💯

    That boiler was in mint condition. All it needed was a proper engineer to spend time on it instead of creating work by changing things on it. Top job buddy

      The PRV costs £10. If you remove it, just change it.

    Great Video ! , very informative & professional 👍 . good tip to remove all the water from system by pumping expansion vessel . I pumped to correct pressure , repressurised the system . and heating is now running better than before ! Thankyou for your help . liked & Subscribed

    I like your way of cleaning the prv 👍, much better than taking the whole part out, less water to clean up and the rubber around it is a pain to refit, to keep it room sealed

    How much pressure do we put in new vessel? My technician put 1.5 bar in vessel and either i put 1.2 or 1.5 to close water system the pressure rises to 2 bar on heat

    • @Ed-fp9rx

      1 bar is correct

      @@Ed-fp9rx can i press the valve of vessel to de pressure it slowly? DOES 1 bar in vessel lower water pressure?

      @@Metco81 if you press the strayder valve in expansion vessel air will come out, most manufacturers say to pump expansion vessel to 1bar. no it doesnt always lower water pressure

    Just drain the boiler by turning the PRV it's faster and easier.

      NOT a good idea!

    • @johnmelling9950

      @Kevin W easier and cheaper to replace a bad prv than boiler isolation valves that leak when you turn them back on

    • @colinbrazier8836
      @colinbrazier8836 Рік тому

      @johnmelling9950 yes mate I had to change water pressure sensor on my boiler and didn't want to isolate flow and return heating because of that reason ,it possibly leaking.
      I was lucky my boiler is in upstairs cupboard so rad pipework runs below boiler level .
      Just opened drain off drained out , front and side panel off new sensor greased up and ready old out new one in hardest bit was fiddling with the clip going back in don't like messing with them isolation valves

    • @byteme9718
      @byteme9718 2 місяці тому

      @@kevinw7419 It's a £10 part, just replace it as a matter of course. The time and mess saved more than covers that.

    What did you do in regards to the low inlet pressure. Hate finding this on existing installations, always a pain in the arse explaining to customers and trying to get them to do anything about it.

      At risked it mate , and forgot about it 😂 I’ve stopped caring in that respect , advised this will effect heat up times in hot water and efficiently if boiler and also can’t achieve proper fga readings because pressure is low

    I think valliant knows this and intentionally makes the part which is not durable. for small o ring people have to buy whole part and pay 10% of the new boiler. shame on vaillant.

    • @yoya4766

    vaillant intentionally makes diverter valve with cheap rubber seal which is not durable and wears down so customer have to purchase whole diverter valve just for 20 pence seal wears off. why do they need to sell one with motor etc? it is a big cone at large scale
