Couple of suggestions. Really easy and cheap to get a taxi from Hua Hin to BKK. Under 2 hours! Also, I took my daughter to Hua Hin hospital and the Accident + Emergency was absolutely full of foreigners who had fallen off scooters without any protection or riding skills. So you absolutely should enjoy riding in Hua Hin but always wear full protective gear. Enjoy your trip. I love Thailand!
Train more fun than taxi. Just look at that station. With regards to protective gear, there is never enough, but when you are carrying heavy boots and leathers around Thailand everywhere you go, it gets to a point where you need to ask, what is the point? On the other hand, when you are making a UA-cam video you probably want views. 😊
Honda motorbikes represent 72% of the Thai motorbike market. Most Honda motorbikes up to and including 750cc are manufactured in Thailand for the world market. Royal Enfield is starting to get big in Thailand and have just started to assemble motorbikes in Thailand to avoid the high import tax. Triumph, Ducati and Harley Davidson are manufactured or assembled in Thailand.
My wife and I caught that same train to Surat Thani (past Hua Hin to near the Malaysian Border) more than 30 years ago. It was a very old train even then! it was an overnight trip. In the evening, a little old man came and rearranged the seats into a bed (with nice cotton sheets), and another bed folds down from above. It was a great trip with many good memories. But very rough, and loud squealing sounds from the old crooked tracks. Thailand is a magical place.
I once lived in Thailand. I spent most of the time in the north. Basing myself in Chang Mi. Which is a wonderful City. I think you would love the north. Mountain windy roads. At the time I bought a Honda xr 250 dirt bike. It was a good choice as alot of the roads are quite rough. A must do is the Mae hon song loop. Take yourself to the village of pie. You'll love it. It's also alot cooler in the north mountains. Also I'd advise some origano oil a drop under the toung before each meal and you probably won't get sick. Such a great country
I learned to ride by the BULLET by Enfield India 🇮🇳 in the year 1980 when my father let me to ride while my foot could reach only the Gear pedal and Brake pedal. Then I rode CRUSADER from Enfield India a two stroke bike while I studied in Polytechnic and in the year 1992 April I bought a 1977 Bullet and whose vibration of the beat only can be felt when you touch the vehicle and SHE was so SILENT. I am a MARINER and I love BULLET
@@tomboyabit always happy to help you plan...as well as help you with showing you around...shooting video for you and ride with you! Just give me a shout out when you want to plan this!
A facinating and wonderful window into the country and countryside of Thailand. Love it. It seems a decent and attractive place, but watch out for the ferral dogs.
Most street dogs do have people feeding them because of Budah. Try to avoid being bitten by a dog in Thailand because there is rabies there. Street dogs can get into packs and at night can get vicious (they change their character at night). You do not want to hit a dog with a motorbike, not just for the dog, but because you do generally drop the motorbike and injure yourself.
What a great adventure ,,looks like your in heaven ,,,,not like back home in snow , wind and rain and mustn't the godforsaken ....black ice ...enjoy and be safe ..and nearly forgot ,,,just encase ,,,,very Happy Christmas
The Hunterv looks and sounds great! Officially, the speed limit for motorbikes in Thailand is 90 kmhr outside built up areas and 80kmhr in built up areas.
Yes but nobody cares for the speed limits. When you go 100 i/o 80 in city speed limit areas there will always be some crazy pickup drivers overtaking you on 120 or more🤣🤣🤣
I'm English and live in Hua Hin. Been biking here for many years. If you and your partner want to go for ride on some great roads give me a shout. I recommend the Kaeng Krachan area, West of Hua Hin
Deimane, traveling back in time to ride free as a bird. Quite a different ride on Hunter than the one down-town London. Glad you had an amazing time and rides in Thailand. Also glad to see you ride Jonesy in the future and work on your track bike build too.
Honda 110cc and 125cc are indestructible if you change the oil regularly. They don't even have oil filters but change every 3,000 kms => 1,860 miles An oil change at a Honda dealer is 120 baht => £2.86 including oil and labour.
Oh you look so cute with that red cap 😍. I’m so in love with the Hunter but unfortunately when I test rode it I realized there’s no room for the passenger’s feet 😨. My wife is very tall and she had to point out her feet like a duck just to let me drive appropiately 😂😂😂 😢
300cc is considered a big motorbike in Thailand (Honda define a big bike as 400cc plus). A Honda CRF300L or Honda CB300R is well adequate for touring round Thailand though most fat farang (westerners) opt for a Honda CB500X or CB500F.
Good to know there's an RE dealership in Hua HIn. I bought my Interceptor 650 in Chiang Mai three and a half years ago but have since moved to Prachuap Khiri Khan (about an hour south of Hua Hin), and was thinking I'd have to travel to Bangkok to get it serviced. Now I'll try Hua Hin.
Once you have been to Thailand you do not want to go back to the UK. When you are flying back to London on the airplane, you start to plan to find the money and time to go back to Thailand.
I envy you. I would love to go to Thailand and Hua Hin is where I'd like to be. I would also like to check out Udon Thani and Pattaya. Riding in Pattaya is said to be very dangerous though. There is a couple vloggers in Pattaya that tell you to use taxis and not motorbikes because it's so dangerous. You should have Simon with you, LOL. God Bless and stay safe. Did you know you can go to jail for stepping on their money ? The Kings face is on the money and it is seen as disrespecting the King.
Great vlog bud bet its really nice riding in another country free as a bird, your always welcome on the TV on a Sunday in my house lol keep up the great work.
