I love that you pause and recognize the beatboxing and try to imitate it just to show how hard it really is, because Adam Rupp makes it look easy and we all know it is not.
A reactor is a reaction and you react how you choose! If some doesn’t like it they don’t have to watch you! I for one enjoy your reactions! I love how they have done this one, they also performed this on the sing off, without Avi, of course. The judges loved it!🔥🔥. Thanks for all of your Home Free reactions, I am glad you are enjoying them as much as we do!👏👏👏👍
This song is done in a country reggae beat. It showcases the higher & lower ranges of both Tim Foust & Avi Kaplan. That last note of Tim is impressive with how low he goes, but more impressive is how long he sustains the note. On the "Sing Off Show" that Home Free won in 2013 Tim goes even lower on this song "Ring Of Fire" & he impressed the judges so much that they gave them a standing ovation. And Adam Rupp once again was stellar in his vocal percussion.
Yes, it's pronounced "Ah-Vee." You had it right the first time. Aside: Tim's vocal agility in his voice impresses me more than his range, but his low note in this still gets me every time. This is also the song that got me looking into Avi's solo stuff because his tone is like butter. And Adam Rupp is still the GOAT, of course, as per usual. You're really good at beatboxing, by the way. I was a brass player in a former life, as was Adam, and some of the techniques he uses are brass player techniques, i.e. double and triple tonguing. You've got this in the bag. Thanks for reacting to this one!
Avi=Ah Vi was a founding member of Pentatonix and remained with them for 6 years. He is now a solo artist doing everything at his pace. He has some great song he has written and recorded. i cannot pay you, but he is well worth looking into. Nothing like PTX.
Adam Rupp Beatboxer is what makes Home Free the best A Cappella group in the world. All A Cappella groups have great singers, but Adam is beatboxing is the difference.
All a capella groups are not the same & make no mistake Adam R. is unique of his kind but its this formula that make it extraordinary Their orchestration is like the the perfect recipe & its no surprise to me tho what gets me is how it comes together with these 2 bass Tim & Avi! OMGOODNESS & thank you!
I didn’t notice anyone else mention it, but the judges on the Sing-Off were really impressed with Adam throwing a reggae beat into the middle of a country song. I really like their version and this video shows the timbre of Tim and Avi’s voices in one place which I think is cool.
You have solid reactions bro. Home Free is so awesome vocally, and Adam is such a great beat boxer, you can easily get lost in the vocals and the song, and forget there are no instruments. I like that you take care to point all of it out, and really bring forward how much Adam does for this group. Well done Anthony!!
You could do an interview with Adam Rupp! The guys really enjoy reactors and with your knowledge and recognition of his skills he might spend some time with you! That would be epic! I love your reactions!! Keep doing what you are doing!! I have to admit I am addicted to Home Free and I’m here for them, but I do plan to spend some time checking out your videos too! Avi and Tim have done collaborations together. “Misty “Mountains”
I really enjoy the beat boxing analysis you do. You're right; few reactors know how to beat box. My appreciation for beat boxers, especially Adam, has increased because of your analysis. Thanks. (And reactors are supposed to pause and comment!)
Love your reactions. I don't need someone to tell me, "Ooh, that was so good." I can make that decision for myself. On the other hand, I look for reactors who can teach me something, increase my appreciation for the talent and better help me understand WHY I think the performance was so good. That's why I am subscribed and keep listening. Don't change, please.
I absolutely love the expertise that different reactors bring to the table. You go right ahead and pause whenever you want to tell us something interesting! If we want to watch straight through, we can go to the original video. And sometimes I do go back to listen to the original afterwards and can listen afresh because of the things YOU have pointed out! Thank you for what you do.
So cool to hear the beatbox breakdown. The fact thst the human voice can make all those prrcussion sounds is crazy talent! The fact that Adam can do this for over an hour a night with a 10 min. Solo added is imprezsive.
Keep doin' what you do... it's great! I've watched the original videos so many times and it's wonderful when you guys pause and point out parts... those are things I would have missed and makes me realise the special talent of these guys. Thanks again 🤗
🎼🔥🔥🔥🔥🎼 .. I am glad you reacted to this one Anthony. I like what you haar and your selections on the percussion. I also hope you get to more Johnny Cash covers , and more HomeFree songs. Thanks for sharing this one. 🔥
I don't mind the way you stop and go. You always have something educational and professional to insert...without sounding like a snob. You always have interesting input. Good job! 😀
I always enjoy learning about beatboxing from a beatboxer! It is totally fascinating. Keep it up, and pause as often as you want. We Fries have already heard the song a hundred times -- it's your comments and reactions that we're here for.But wasn't Tim's last note amazing? So true and sustained for so long without faltering.
...this is a great rendition, Johnny will be dancing, oh my God the harmonize. Keep analyzing AR because I knew nothing about rap and beat boxing...Peace👍☝️🖼☝️✨😎
So good. Avi has a beautiful voice but that low note by Tim at the end….sheesh. Adam is remarkable and you’re not so bad yourself. You did quite well with the beatboxing. I don’t mind your pauses at all. As you said it’s a reaction channel. I expect it. 😃
Love your unique insights, colored by your experience and training. That is why 80% of us are probably here. 10-20% seem to be on the internet to criticize others. Don't even give them airtime, just do your thing. Don't feed the trolls!
Thank you Anthony, I appreciate your breakdown of the beatboxing. You are the first reactor I've come upon that acknowledges Adam's skill as a beatboxer.
I appreciate your breakdown of the songs, specifically the beatboxing elements. Your analysis makes me even more impressed with Adam Rupp and what he brings to Home Free.
I really love watching you react to Home Free, especially how you break down Adam Rupp's beatboxing. Thanks for continuing down the HF rabbit hole!! ❤️🍟
Wow. I've listened to this many times, but this is the first reactor to the song who can BEATBOX! Awesome, dude. Really interesting to hear how those sounds are produced. Most people just say, Wow, but you could reproduce it. Thanks for a terrific reaction.
I love your voice and I love your reactions. I'm mostly here for PTX and Home Free but I did go listen to your last recording and it was really cool seeing the industry from the performers side. I don't think you have done Radioactive by PTX. Its a great cover.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE Home Free AND PTX!! This collab is a dream come true for me!! It received a standing ovation from the judges on the Sing Off when they originally performed it...AMAZING BASSES!!Tim & Avi are PHENOMENAL!! And Adam Rupp is a beat boxing god!!😃I'd also love for you to check.out Kevin's (Beat boxer for PTX) solo cover of Down by Marion Hill if you love beatboxing...he Celloboxes!!!😃(plays the cello WHILE beatboxing) and is also INCREDIBLE!!!😄Thanks for your awesome reactions & music!! You ate also very talented as a rapper.🎶🔥✌
the sound on the snare that Adam is trying to reproduce is a snare rim shot I believe which is why it sounds different from his other snare drum sounds.
great reaction. Love Home Free, Pentatonix and Avi Kaplan. Having 2 bass singers on Ring of fire turned out to be a genius move, IMO. And for saying your rusty at beatboxing, you seemed to fall right back into it without any trouble.
Because you are a reactor, we who care know that you will be stopping and analyzing what you just heard. A lot of times there are other reactors who say that they have to stop periodically because of copyright issues. I love what you do and that you acknowledge the things you hear, particularly the beatboxing. I can get vocal knowledge on another channel. You keep doing what you’re doing.
I love it when you break down the beat boxing because that's something I have no experience in (besides trying to imitate it with very limited success 😅). You always bring something special to your reactions that I don't get from vocalists. Keep doing what you do, mate! Cheers 😊
That's okay, dude, you do you !! If they don't like it they can move on. !! I happen to like your breakdowns and your attitude so keep doin' what you do. There ain't enough people out there breakin' down the background instruments and sounds.
Hallo from Oslo a follows you for a while now. And you are very good at beatboxing and a am a Fries and love when you react to them. And thanks for your good reaction Anthony hugs from Norway 🫂🫂
I've always loved Johnny Cash (did you ever hear his song "A Boy Named Sue"? ) and I think he'd approve of the update of one of his most famous songs. There's an interview with Chris Rupp in which he says this was a field behind a farm - it was really cold, they kept putting more logs on the fire. There was more to it but it was a while ago that I watched the interview.
For a laugh do watch the video they were showing 💥... Champagne Taste (on a beer budget)... Avi does a cameo..but Tim wrote this when asked to do a country song when he was actively trying to opt out of country..as a joke..🤣...since then he has accepted country in his personal repertoire and we're so glad he did.👍💚...🌿🌿🌿
Ring of Fire in a more modern, somewhat reggea-like version, but still respecting the original. 4½years ago this was the first video I saw/heard from Home Free. I got there because I was listening to Pentatonix at the time and Avi was my favorite. Immediately there was something that drew me to Home Free. From then on I followed them and after I think 2 videos I was a real Home Fry. I hardly follow PTX anymore. Avi still does, because Avi Kaplan and Home Free let me feel music and not just hear it. Their great harmonies, the unbelievably good beatboxing/vocal percussion and of course that incredible deep bass that makes the ground vibrate and your speakers explode. Personally, I thought Avi fit better with Home Free than with PTX. But that's my opinion 😊
I can't really say much about beatboxing because I don't listen to it often, but when it comes to vocal drums Adam actually sounds like real drums. In my mind he just communicates in drum sounds And do your thing, reactors are suposed to react. If people want to hear the song they should go to the artist themselves There is also a live one bass version of this, personally I prefer that version.
AnthonyRay a cover by Angelina called 'You make me feel so young' 40' era. For your enjoyment. Enjoy your excellent reactions for all genres. Stay well and enjoy
I really enjoy your thoughtful reactions. Big fan of Home Free. I suggest you check out some of their collaborations: One Voice with Billy Gilman who unbelievable has a better voice than Austin. Also American Pie with Don McLean and Children Go Where I Send Thee with Kenny Rogers.

You beatboxing and Ren doing Ren…. That is something I want to ser ❤😊
I love that you pause and recognize the beatboxing and try to imitate it just to show how hard it really is, because Adam Rupp makes it look easy and we all know it is not.
Right? And the fact that Anthony can replicate it is insane!!!!
@@KazyReed❤
Exactly! He has a unique perspective being a beatboxer.
Same. So Many times I've watched people react to Home Free and not realize Adam is beatboxing. Very frustrating.
@@teresayates6016though honestly a complement to Adam. They probably assume it’s actually drums lol

Their live version of this on sing off is great. Tim hit that final bass drop and everyone went crazy. Great reaction man!!

This is one of the songs they performed on "Sing Off." That show introduced us to Home Free. Well worth the time to see the beginnings.

Fire as always these guys harmonies like no other
This is why everyone loves Home Free. These guys are amazing.❤️❤️
The beatboxing insight was intereting. Thank you for that - the beatboxers don't get enough limelight and Adam is a favourite.
Always enjoy your making Adam's BeatBoxing understandable.
I don't have the money for the request right now, but they did this live on TV and it blew up everywhere

That song in the outro Champagne Taste On A Beer Budget has a cameo appearance by Avi, he doesn't join in just walks by 😊

Geoff is my favorite a capella bass voice HOWEVER Tim's little growls like at the end of this song are just SO GOOD 😊

the sound on the snare that Adam is trying to reproduce is a snare rim shot I believe which is why it sounds different from his other snare drum sounds.
I just found out today Home Free is coming to our State Fair!
❤
Thanks for your response I am learning some from it. I not Tallented but I injoy learning.
You are a great at beatboxing. You don’t stop the video to much at all. Love your channel ❤️❤️❤️
Excellent breakdown!
Thanks for your analysis!
Avi looks like he's having so much fun! He did a walk-on on Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget (the song in the teaser at the end), and it was great!
I enjoy your reaction to the beat-boxing and the vocal singing. Smile and keep doing what you do.
I've been waiting for this reaction:))))))
Great video, great reaction, one of the best I've seen.
Oh excellent Anthony!
Love your beatboxing!❤

Great reaction and breakdown.
There is a video out there of Avi singing two notes at one time. It is amazing. Check it out!

Avi's voice is beautiful and enveloping

Nice. Ciao Ray!
If that is your "rusty" beat-boxing" I would really like to hear it when you knock the rust off! Nice work.
This is only their second best version of this song. Listen to their performance of this on the Sing Off.

Nice beatboxing dude.👍
I love the way you show Adam respect. You'd be just as amazing if you practiced as much as and for as long as he has.I think your great.❤❤
1:01 that’s avi. i also like the guys voice with the blonde curly hair
I think you do a great job giving us insights. Pausing doesn't bother me. ✌🏼
11 members have switched in and out. So far the bass, high voice, and guy with the beard have been steady. It can be confusing to watch over time.
❤❤❤❤🎉
I don't mind u pausing cause I love hearing u doin ur beat box. Ur just at good as Adam Rupp!
👍😎✌🏻
Aah-vee, like Aah-choo or stick your tongue out and say Aaaaahhh. Short for Avriel, pronounced Aahvrel.
Great reaction! Love your analysis of Adam's beat boxing!
Btw, I'm here for your reaction, Not to watch you listen!!
And you react on Home Free - Gambler ? That is awesome too
I really enjoy your thoughtful reactions. Big fan of Home Free. I suggest you check out some of their collaborations: One Voice with Billy Gilman who unbelievable has a better voice than Austin. Also American Pie with Don McLean and Children Go Where I Send Thee with Kenny Rogers.
Very good beat boxing. If that was rusty you need to practice more -- you are tslented!
