LEE AND WACK ! best reviews on gear!
I couldn't wait for this video!
Great job as always boys
Great review! If I was more flexible I’d be all over these leg pads. Sounds like Bauer has done a bang up job fixing some of the core challenges with the 1S. I’m also sure it helps when they have a goalie in Frederik Andersen showing how an NHL goalie can do great things in this equipment.
The one thing that I want for Christmas
One of the heaviest if not heaviest set behind new CCM, Warrior, Vaughn xlr line, and Brians. and 2 hours into a game, there is a binding at the knee lock, dont say bindingless, and it builds a snowy wall.
Those new NHL pants specs look so TINY on you!
Make a review on the 2s pro please I’m looking to get it and I need some detail on the stick
PLEASE do a Vaughn VE8 review!!!
Huge fan of these, I gotta start saving up for them. Great review.
i used them for a while, they are worth it, getting my actual set this week
Maxime Thibault-Maheu hows the durability from first glance?
Kane Light seems legit, honestly slightly less than traditional materials but you could probably do 4 seasons with a set, if you play in that 2-3 ice times per week and like 25 weeks a year. I had a set that was used 10 times and it seemed like it was never used! And there wasn’t any more wear after my few skates with them either (i played 2 practices and a game with the set). A skate impact did not cut through the new cortech st
Maxime Thibault-Maheu how about the strapping also? Some people were talking about the velcro not holding up and fraying after half a season
Maxime Thibault-Maheu with the 1s
Heard they are coming out with custom graphics in october.
OH MY GOD I NEED A PAIR
Earlybirds😂! Really was waiting for this. Can’t deside between 2s leg pads and the Vapor 1x Od1n. Help me out please!
Rick get the 2s!
Ya 2s by far I have the vapors and I love them but if you like the stiffer pad get the 2s cause my 1x pads have a natural precurve to them from being so soft. Also the new CORTECHst sounds pretty good for durability
vapor 1x
Considering these pads coming from my current EFLEX 2's. I know that the difference will be huge, in terms of the flex/stiffness, weight, and rebounds, between the two pads, but I was wondering if you know whether or not there will be custom options to get a bit more curve near the top of the 2S pad. I typically bend my current pads into a more curved shape, so just thought I should ask if that top curve is possible with these ones? Thanks in advance for your time, love the equipment reviews- keep em coming!
go for brians optiks fly if you want more curve. very similar to the 2s just more curve in the top
I am more of a Vapor guy I think, but, my god I wish they had thigh rise options. 1" is too short for me. More of a 1.5 to 2.
Would these come with knee pads like the 1s?
What size do you wear? And what's your FTK or ATK? Every video should start with sizing! It's everyone's number 1 question.
What would you recommend between the P2, Bauer 2S or Brian's GNetik4?
Hi Ryan,
Thanks for the question. It comes down to a matter of personal preference and what kind of performance you are looking to get out of the pad. The 3 models you asked about share some similarities and some differences. The Premier 2's and Supreme 2S pads for example are going to be stiffer pads and provide more coverage when down in butterfly, while the Gnetik 4 pads will provide more flexibility and coverage for a goalie who might have a narrower butterfly. The Premiers and Supremes will also provide larger rebounds that really shoot off the face of the pad. All 3 pads are great options and it really comes down to the personal preference of the goalie.
Hope this helps!

Where is the ultrasonic review!!!
Does lee work in Marlborough? And is that Horgan arena in Auburn?
Hi Ben! Lee does work in our Marlborough, MA location as a manager and goalie expert, and the on-ice footage was filmed in Franklin MA
I am wondering if these slide better than the G4s?
They slide as well as anything out there. They're known for how well they slide.
Can you gays review gameplay with bauer vapors 700
😭👌gays😂😂
what sizes do these pads come in
Hi Eric, great question. Bauer has simplified their sizing on leg pads to a XS-XXL sizing. You can view the size chart by following this link to our product page. goalie.purehockey.com/product/bauer-supreme-2s-pro-goalie-leg-pads-senior/itm/34057-41/
Which is better Bauer 2s or Ccm premier 2?
Hey KD thanks for the question! As with most questions on comparing leg pads it comes down to personal preference. Both the Bauer Supreme 2S Pro and CCM Premier 2 Pro pads are top of the line pro level pads providing the best possible performance and durability. Some differences that may help are that although both pads are structurally pretty stiff, the 2S pro will certainly be stiffer especially at the boot and thigh rise. Other difference will come in the strapping (CRS vs QMS) and outer roll. Overall both options are great for goalies looking for maximum coverage and quick sliding. Hope this helps.
Thanks,
PG
Good day gentlemen
I realize this is an old video, how do these compare to the Hyperlite?
I have an opportunity to trade my Hyperlite pads alone for a full set of 2S pros, Gloves and pads
Seems like a good way race for me, however, I would appreciate your thoughts
Thanks!!
Hi Rob, It would come down more to personal preference more than anything. The 2S Pro chassis is built to be stiffer while the Hyperlite is more flexible. If we were going to compare the 2 pads side by side and they were both new, we would say the integrated knee in the hyperlite is definitely an advantage over the older 2S Pro, and the newer Cortech will provide more durability.
Thank you much appreciated!!
I am on a equipment “tour” trying out the Bauer line
I am 55 yr old , not a positional goalie as my hips and knees ain’t what they used to be
I am figuring out that the stiff pad may not be my thing. I use whatever I can to get in the way Hasek style, thinking Eflex/Vaughn or Warrior
I prefer the equipment to be closer to me more of an extension of my legs.
I understand the personal preferences, but based on you experience can you suggest a lightweight softer flexible pad that kicks out rebounds and slides well….the best of both worlds 😊
Thanks again
Chevy
@@robchevalier6845 Hi Chevy! You are definitely on the right track for the type of pad you are describing. The Vaughn Velocity series comes to mind. The New V10 has a new strapping system that definitely allows you to have the pad sit tight on your leg without limiting movement and butterfly seal. Those should be available sometime in mid-to-late February, otherwise the V9's are also a great option.
Your description also sounds a lot like a Hyperlite, but it sounds like you have those and may be looking for a change.
The Eflex 5 would also fall under that category, although the rebounds will not be as robust on that pad unless you custom order them with the MaxRebound Core instead of the stock ControlRebound core.
And finally the warrior ritual G6 line would check some boxes like a tighter fit to your leg and large rebounds and definitely the fastest sliding on the market with the new slide plates. They will feel a bit stiffer off the shelf, but you can always custom order them to be a more flexible chassis or add an external break below the knee.
Am i the only CCM lover who can't accept that Bauer hockey gear starts being better?
