Kelly's approach: I'm gonna use it because there's a lot of it on the table Jasmine's approach: it says paradise so it must be butter because that's how it feels to me
I think there should be one which is like jasmine vs Katie vs Kelly and they have the same recipe and see who can do it best Edit: omg tysm this is the most likes I have ever gotten. Tysm
Hahahaha I love how this can only get harder and harder cause it's a matter of revenge every time 🤣 loved it. Nice try Kelly, hope to see what u guys do next
Kelly get back at them by giving Jasmine only the first half of the recipe and end it with “Katie check under your seat and do the rest” making them both be in the dark on the final result. Heck it could even have the dish be translated from the phrase “A Dish Best Served Cold” to reference it being revenge.
The name Banh Xu Xe actually derived from the word Banh Phu The, meaning "Husband and wife cake" so besides the stickiness, the name also shows that the dessert is for weddings.
10:43 Yes they actually do. I speak Portuguese as my first language and, in some fairy tales such as the Alibaba one (I think that's how you write it), they say "Abre-te Sésamo!" to open a secret door or something, which literally translates to "Open Sesame" 😂. I am pretty sure it's the same thing for Spanish and perhaps other languages as well...
Hi tasty. I’m in ED recovery at the moment and your videos are really motivating me and helping me learn how food can be fun. Thank you guys and to anyone else doing this with me, WE GOT THIS, DON’T LET YOUR ED WIN BECAUSE YOU ARE WORTH SO MUCH MORE! 💕💕
Before I realized ED was eating disorder, I thought it was erectile dysfunction and thought “Whatever you need, buddy…” Solidarity with you in your ACTUAL ED victories.
OMG, I love this series and I have seen all of the Videos. I'm Vietnamese too so this is the best Lunar New Year gift ever!!! I have to admit Vietnamese recipes are weird because we don't use cream, butter, all-purpose flour, etc. Oh and besides this cake, we also have another cake that traditionally is served at weddings called "Bánh Phu Thê" which means "Husband and Wife cake".
I made this myself and thought it would be fun to share :) Original recipe: SIX LAYER CHOCOLATE DREAM: 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 2. Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Turn the machine to low and mix well. 3. Slowly pour in the vegetable oil, scraping down the sides as needed. 4. Next, add buttermilk and eggs, mixing on medium speed until all ingredients are incorporated and the batter is smooth. 5. Slowly add hot coffee and when all is combined, pour into two greased 9″ cake pans. 6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. 7. Let cool on racks. 8. To make the frosting, wash out the mixing bowl, add softened butter and powdered sugar, and cream together until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. 9. Scrape down bowl, add cocoa powder and corn syrup, and mix for another 2 minutes. 10. Add hot water and mix until combined. 11. To assemble, slice each cake into three layers and spread a layer of frosting between each one, finishing with a layer on top. Languages: 1. Telugu 2. Polish 3. Danish 4. Spanish 5. Vietnamese 6. Kelly definitely need to be more infront of the camera, she deserves it 😍 Also i love this episode bc it feels like ep 1 again, Jasmine's really gettin' to good at this 😂
Katie & Jasmine should do a head-to-head translation challenge, getting the same recipe that they need to make and also with minimum hints🤭🤭 Loving these challenges!
Jasmine is so sweet and diplomatic. She said Katie's Lala Glory was good and Kelly's Great Idea was similar to the original. What a sweetheart. Why do they torture her with these recipes? Hahahah.
I don't even know was she was making until I saw the name in the last minute. I had never been to a Vietnamese wedding before nor had I have these. I'll join my relatives' wedding someday.
You have to try and make South African Koeksisters! Translate the recipe from Afrikaans. It would be soooo funny to see as it isn't a very well known desert outside of South Africa. I could even send you a recipe myself if you need it 😁
I love lost in translation episodes can't wait for next episode. You should do a Serbian dish called prebranac it's not super complicated dish but it's soo tasty.
'Add meaty filets and learn to communicate' That feels like the recipie is critizing your communication skills here. xD Love when these are just sprung on people who wouldn't normally do them :D
I didn't expect Tasty to make this dessert! It's more of the less popular one compared to other Viet dishes. I don't even know what it is until she wraps everything in cling wrap. Good job Kelly~
I could never have gotten past the first step, never mind completing it. Amazing job!! I love eating those things, but they are better steamed in banana leaves as it imparts am amazing aroma. :)
Kelly's approach: I'm gonna use it because there's a lot of it on the table
Jasmine's approach: it says paradise so it must be butter because that's how it feels to me
I think there should be one which is like jasmine vs Katie vs Kelly and they have the same recipe and see who can do it best
Edit: omg tysm this is the most likes I have ever gotten. Tysm
If this happens ever, it will be a BOMB for sure.
Ooo good ideaaaa! 🤪🤪🥰🥰
Hosted by Alvin!
To make it better they each get a slightly different translated version of the same recipe.
Amazing idea
This is the best one because finally we get to see someone fail miserably xD Jasmine is too good at this
Spoiler warning
Well, Katie's episode was actually even more of a failure, but yeah lol
All that’s left is Mimo! She needs to do this challenge!
You forgot about Rie and Alix.
Sheridan Mann, Rie or Alix is not usually behind the camera with Katie and Kelly. It’s Mimo.
I think Mimo did the challenge already-
@@LaineMann alix left tasty like a few years ago
@@koalakool4200 Really?

This is actually fire HAHAHAH. Like they each do half a very complicated recipe
Omg
Great idea please send it to Kelly T her DM so she can see 😍😍
I'm Vietnamese, thank you for making a Vietnamese recipe. Seeing my country recipe got used by you, it makes me happy🥰🥰🥰.
Me tooo
The name Banh Xu Xe actually derived from the word Banh Phu The, meaning "Husband and wife cake" so besides the stickiness, the name also shows that the dessert is for weddings.
As a Vietnamese, I can't guess what she made until the very end. That's hilarious 😆
Me too 😂
Same🤣
Yea
Same here =)))
Me neither
10:43 Yes they actually do. "Open Sesame" is the same in Vietnam too =))))
Same in French
I guess English is the odd one out then
Yes, but the character who says it is neither a magician nor a genie. I think that's what they meant.
Same in German

Bánh Phu Thê is the same cake as Bánh Xu Xê. It's just another name
I love the dynamic between Jasmine & Katie. I could literally watch their content for hours

Hahah never stop these I love them! The beginning was verrrry rocky for Kelly. Watching Kelly shows that Jasmine is pretty good at these now!
Fantastic surprise on Kelly. Another hilarious episode lades. Can't wait for next one.
Yessss! This is my favorite UA-cam series ever! Keep putting out more!
Wait this such a good recipe video idea 😂. Love this! Also you guys are killer hosts!
Anyone else notice every video Katie switches up the languages so that every language is included
Mimo: *shakes head*
2 seconds later...
Mimo: "it's really good"

Mimo: "SHE'S MY BOSS"
Oh my god! I literally just love these series!!!

This was the hardest one so far! I could not have done it at all. I love the series, more please!!
As a Vietnamese, I can’t even tell what the recipe was until the reveal. You did your best and you did great!
Would like to see you do a 3 course meal with each course from a different country. Great channel from a big Aussie fan
for the next episode you should do a polish dish called "kartacze", i think jasmine would love that instructions mistranslated 😂😂
Good contents! My best wishes, Keep growing and stay blessed. Thumb up 👍
4:10 yes, because you want your vanilla extract to flirt with you.
I love how Kelly just got back from her Holiday and then she is thrown into the deep end with this episode. You guys are so evil but we love that.
Why do I want a video where they act out exactly what it translated. I think in will be so funny 😭😭
Mimo is like "nah ima be honest here"

Editor: Not for this purpose

I swear, this series should be a Netflix Baking Competition
Loved this !!! Now it's time to get Mimo in on the action 😆
Still the best series
Katie & Jasmine should do a head-to-head translation challenge, getting the same recipe that they need to make and also with minimum hints🤭🤭 Loving these challenges!
Katie: why is a fork a lid?
Kelly: I don't know.
I literally died!🤣
What she did is like what we call "buchi" in the Philippines. A round ball with a sweet paste and full of sesame seeds.
Oh but Buchi is fried and not steamed
YESS IS WAS WAITING FOR ANOTHER EPISODE I WAS JUST REWATCHING EVERY OTHER EPISODE
i think having jasmine and katie make a meal in another language would be pay back enough lol
i feel like they chose the most difficult recipe for her hahaha
Jasmine is so sweet and diplomatic. She said Katie's Lala Glory was good and Kelly's Great Idea was similar to the original. What a sweetheart. Why do they torture her with these recipes? Hahahah.
I don't even know was she was making until I saw the name in the last minute.
I had never been to a Vietnamese wedding before nor had I have these. I'll join my relatives' wedding someday.
Katie: Why do you think that dogram is over there?
Kelie: cuz it's here

I respect everyone who were involved in this, Hats of to well All! Love your videos💓
I think Jasmine is great in it because she is multilingual, a lot of studies showed they are thinking differently, better in associations...etc. :)
when she figured out the boba it was so cute
These translated recipe vids are so much FUN!
13:01 I think this is how "Ba Sing Se" (the titanic capital of the Earth Kingdom in Avatar Ang) got it's name. 😊
“THIS IS NOT A GREAT IDEA!”
- Kelly 2022 😂
I bet it could be the time for jasmine and katie do a to face to face lost in translation competition…?!
When Kelly said shut up that was everything!! 😂
Gosh, that brings me back, i haven't had xu xê in years. I'll definitely go get some tomorrow
Would love to see Katie and Jasmine cooking together/working together on deciphering a recipe 🤣🔥🤷♀️
Kelly is having such a hard time lol 😂🤣🤣 someone help her!!
Hey kaite when are you going to make another video with arnav
Its funny looking at you.Its good trying your best to cook vietnamese recipe. Thanks for sharing my friends
Kelly is literally my favorite, she looks so down to Earth & easy to talk to. xoxo
You have to try and make South African Koeksisters! Translate the recipe from Afrikaans. It would be soooo funny to see as it isn't a very well known desert outside of South Africa. I could even send you a recipe myself if you need it 😁
MIMO NEXT TIME ✨
"Bánh xu xê"

I didn't expect Tasty to make this dessert! It's more of the less popular one compared to other Viet dishes. I don't even know what it is until she wraps everything in cling wrap. Good job Kelly~
