Having seen how Clair stresses out everytime she has to do something she's never done before, I think she's happier where she is than on a show that focuses on doing things you've never done before.

don o according to a recent profile, she was feeling really overworked and just generally unhappy, so she quit and then returned with contracted position (which gives her more freedom). so, yes, she’s no longer a resident chef

@Ailsa Ni because on the ph scale lies things like chlorine and bleach which cant exactly be described as alkaline. they are base chemicals with a different form of avidity, the entire ph scale us a scale of acidity but they react differently to things depending on their ph.

@@sgl0d10n They ARE an exact measurement when measuring water. Flour, sugar etc, which can take on weight dependent on humidity levels, do vary, but water doesn't. Don't see a problem here. It's really quick and easy to measure out volume in cups when it comes to water.

Molly and Andy often seem like they are sneaking around other people. It's their mannerisms - I bet they share gossip with each other the most.
I think that the point of the rain drop cake is that is clear, without it being clear, you just have jello. Molly's idea is good, but it misses the mark. I am pretty sure she could have found some clear ish flavors to add to it if that was the goal. I have seen some with pickled cherry blossoms or something pretty would have been nice.
I agree Lindy. She should have at least made two versions...one that is clear like a real raindrop should have been her first creation and this peanut butter and jelly on a bread-flavored jello mold could have been second. No shade, but I feel like Claire would have made sure her raindrop cake was at least clear, probably colorless too. I feel that Molly did not achieve the full goal of the project.
I feel like the point of the raindrop cake is less about the look and more about the texture and the uniqueness of that
Jorja Campbell would have to disagree with you. its actual name, mizu shingen mochi, translates to water rice cake - its selling point is that it looks like water.
Her aim to make something easy. Had it been Claire, this segment would've been completely different

Yeah, I thought this exact same thing. I gave my friend a de la Rosa once and luckily made a comment about how it was the best peanut-based candy ever.
The look on his face as he handed it back and explained that it could kill him made me forever sensitive to the possibility of peanut allergies.
