Boss Aluminium is known for their incredible high quality products, they have recently entered the rooftop tent scene and I have to say they have done an amazing job. If you are looking for the best roof top tent that money can buy in 2021 you can't pass the Boss RT1.
This is a long term review and we truly think this is the best tent for touring and camping in Australia.

The RT1 is Honestly the Best Roof Top Tent. I am not just saying that because I work there too. You get what you pay for. The Build Quality Is the Best I've seen.

I’ve been through 3 RTT. Definitely a well made solid tent but for the price I still think the drifta RTT is better value. Had it for over 5 months now and I can’t fault it. It’s only 3k and weighs under 60kg

I’m in Australia, & I love that tent.
You say about the slim line tent, & I bought the Drifta slim line tent only because I could still fit my car into my carport again.

Yes this RTT is out of many peoples reach but unfortunately they just cant be made any cheaper but maintain the same quality.

Probably the best roof top tent ive ever seen. How do the gas struts go being outside the tent in the rain and dust?
Haven't heard of anyone having an issue with the gas struts, so its safe to say they hold up pretty good!
Havnt had any problems at all so far
with a price of $ 6,700 plus I hope it has air conditioning, heating and gold-plated poles
$7,500 now lol

Great informative Video guys However your view about slim line rtt tents is a bit self opinionated.
I have no idea where you park of a night when your at home but my 2022 76 series lives in the garage which unfortunately limits the hight on what I can put on the roof
I choose a hard shell because I like the quickness and ease of set up but mainly because im a lazy bastard
I can think of a couple of mods (havnt been to the site yet) mainly canvas related

Some covers for the gas struts and its perfect! Mind you one tree or branch would fuck the rubber boot/cover up. Probs easier just to replace strut.
Boss should make a troopy roof conversion using all the goodies from this rtt would shit all over the styles of roof conversions

How would you compare this to the alu-cab RTT? (if youve dealt with one in the past)
Sorry mate I personally haven't dealt with the alu-cab rtt, from memory they are hard to get since they are a South African product?

Have worked with both and fitted both to vehicles. The finish and overall quality on the boss RTT is better than alucab. Fitment system is much better also
For nearly $7k where is the reverse aircon hidden?

Bruh what happened to that video on the kings roof top tent I can’t find it on the channel anymore.
Took it down, in the end we said it wasn't a bad option but then sam had further issues a couple months afterwards. He got a replacement tent and it still leaked water.
Well I said that some people had had them leak and that my one didn’t and as a budget one I would recommend it but after I had 2 of them and they both leaked I didn’t won’t any one else watching it and getting the wrong information and buy one

You do notice it but hasn’t stopped me from hit anything yet but in saying that when the tents on that means the cars fullly loaded as well witch makes it all really Rolly anyway
