    honestly, the paternity of Shena's kids was probably determined but not publicly stated. I mean, if their father is also their grandfather, it's not something a kid can really understad. Plus, that comes with a whole slew of awful stereotypes associated, so that information is likely hidden for the sake of the kids.
    Not sure who was left with the most damage from this crazy con artist, but I'm sure there would be a long line to beat him up.

Why was the safety and peace of mind of the the family not taken into consideration? He didn’t even deserve that act of thoughtfulness.

It's one thing to rob people, but to kidnap your daughter, make her pretend she's your wife (like WHY?), steal and assume different identities and then murder a really good friend just to be able to keep living a lie... Thank god he was caught though!

    • @OGMsVixen
      @OGMsVixen 2 роки тому +3

      I don't think he's crazy; he seems like an antisocial grifter who has a possessive and/or sexual interest in his daughter. To make your daughter pretend to be your wife (and, presumably, to be Daddy to her children as far as your neighbors know) is highly suggestive of incest (whether emotional or, more likely, physical). After all, it would be much easier for a grifter to disappear under an assumed name if he didn't kidnap his teenaged daughter and drag her along! Even if her mother didn't report Sheena's disappearance to law enforcement (which could lead to their pictures being circulated internationally), stealing a teenager means assuming the unnecessary risk that she will try to contact friends or family and reveal your location.

    With the latest sad shooting events in the country, after living and working on other continents, it just hit me how she said that the police naturally worried the imposter would have a gun since they suspected he was American. 😞 Wish other parts of the world didn't naturally connect Americans with guns, but it's understandable that they do. 😑

    • @mandarinadreux9572
      @mandarinadreux9572 2 роки тому +3

      I feel you. Guns do awful things to people - having them legal just lowers the tolerance to use them, and accidents happen. People are safer without them. Yeah, you're right, guns are sadly a strong stereotype when Europeans thinks of Americans.

    • @sydnigrauberger5984
      @sydnigrauberger5984 2 роки тому +2

      Unfortunately guns are way too easy for people to get their hands on...and there are Way too many in this country (& some people have the deluded idea that the only way to fight the problem is for more people to possess guns...and to possess bigger and badder guns to out-do the next guy 😞). I live in Iowa where I can recall not that long ago where we had like 8 shootings in the STATE a year. Suddenly, even in our Midwest/half farmland state, it is now almost surprising to have a day or a few days in a row without a shooting. :-{ And mass shootings are happening more and more, even here.

      @sydnigrauberger5984 Рік тому

      @pt6063 It has truly gotten bad. :-( I know last week there were at least 2 mass shootings (where at least 4 people are killed besides the shooter), and they made the comment on the news that it was like the 63rd mass shooting in the country this year...and it was only Feb. 20th! So we had more than one shooting a day thus far. I live in the Midwest, in the center of the country (where TV and movies always say someone is from Iowa or one of our larger cities to indicate they were from a more rural/agricultural state) but we have had like 2 mass shootings already and at least one shooting of somebody on the news every night. Compared to places like New York City, Chicago, or LA that is nothing, but about 6-10 years ago it was a big deal to have like 8 shootings/murders in the state A YEAR! So the state and country have really taken a scary turn (at least in my opinion).

I appreciate Bella going in depth of the relationship between Ronald and Albert and all the events that led up to this tragic case. Forensic Files skimmed over that since their main objective is the forensics of the case. But it still blows my mind how all those off-handed coincidents connected together perfectly like a puzzle to bring Albert to justice. As confident as he might've been during the trial, I would've loved to see his face when the jury came back with a verdict in 2 hours. He had to know then he was doomed.

    ok... but the trauma of finding a dead body when you're just minding your business. I always think of this and I feel like its often glossed over a little (to no ones fault at all), but that must be such an insane experience.

      I knoooow! I keep thinking that too! It's one of my biggest fears going for a walk, accidentally finding a dead body. Cause it's always just people going for walks who seem to find them...

    Hey Bella. I have an Australian case for you. Eric Edgar Cooke also known as 'The Nedlands Monster'. He existed long before my time and the prison he was sent to is no longer a prison and is now a museum and tourist attraction. Fremantle Prison. You've probably heard of it. I've actually seen the place where he was in prison. It would be interesting if you covered it. Thank you.

    Does it say what prison he is in in British Columbia? because he could be in the Matsqui prison . Which is about 45 minutes from my house depending on who is driving.
    This was a really crazy case and I’ve never heard it before. thank you Bella amazing as always.
