- Originally released as 'Don't Lose Your Head', as Rank Distributors were reluctant to use the Carry On association ? They eventually added the Carry On prefix. This is another Ken Burns Supercut following the adventures of the Black Fingernail at the time of the French Revolution. Carry On chopping.
My absolute favourite Carry On film, everyone in it was brilliant.
Peter always spent money on the screen. Not necessarily on the cast
Absolutely, the best
Agreed.
Brilliant edit thank you

How dare you mock Citizen Camembert - he's a big cheese I'll have you know!
Carry on Choppin'!
That reminds me. Must get some chops in for next Sunday.
With two Fs.
You who! It's me!
Tis he! Tis who! Tis him! After him! After you!
You are a picture ma'am, trifle over exposed.
Brilliant ending to a film
Joan Sims rules.
Not very PC by today's standards, but so, so funny, LOL!!!
The films were never made for a future audience.
What about the most famous line from Joan Sims - "The Count"
Less is more
Hi Ken, I don't know if it's ever been picked up on but (I believe) there's a subtle nod to the 1934 Scarlet Pimpernel movie that goes by un-noticed in DLYH, in the 1934 movie there's a scene where an accomplice of the SP visits a jail disguised as a priest to tip a family off about their rescue, as the priest enters the jail some children are playing and you can clearly hear that the childrens laughter is looped repeating itself 3 times, if you listen closely in DLYH when Bidet calls for the Duc de Pommfrit you'll hear his call is looped 3 times also, I know audio comping like this (inserts, loops etc.) has always been there in film production but it just seems like there was a deliberacy in this particular instance, I'd be interested if you or anyone can verify?
Some of the audio edits in Carry On are awful. The one thats sticks out in my mind is the spanking scene in 'Convenience' when Ken Cope's Mum has him over her knee.
These days you wouldn’t get away with the line “men and women of both sexes”.
Its safe to say that gag would survive. As the film is a period piece, all the PC concerns would be waved.
shouldve called it 'carry on chopping' 😜
It was released without the Carry On prefix
@@mediacityavid i know 😉 or couldve added it after, eg. Dont lose your head, carry on 😉
@@andygozzo72 Maybe Carry On Choppin could have been about the Polish composer ?
