Wow I also wish I can travel overland like you. The adventure and excitement :) But now even if want also cannot. As a fellow youtuber from Singapore jiayou
That would have been quite the trip! We did the Singapore to JB part of your route, but then took the train as far as Kluang and headed to the east coast of Malaysia. We'd love to go all the way from Asia to Europe by train one day. Definitely on our bucket list 😁
Hi, enjoyed watching your journey, and hope to do it someday. May I ask some questions; 1. which countries you need to apply Visa in advance using Singapore passport.? 2. How about phone simcard.? 3. Do you carry few currencies in advance.? 4. Any other tips.... Thank you very inspiring indeed.
Thank you for watching! I used a free software call "Route Generator". Google it and it should be on the first page. Download is straightforward and it is pretty easy to use. The software has a standard set of icons, but you can google for free license icons and upload it to the software.
@@TraverseTheGlobe : Wow. I always thought the Eurostar was very pricey (assume you must have travelled from Paris to London via Eurostar?). Truly worth it, despite the longer duration compared to flying to Europe.
Yes, I took the Eurostar from Paris to London. But I stayed in hostels and airbnbs, so it helped in controlling my overall budget. Also in Europe, I bought more food from supermarkets.
hmm.... I'm not a Muslim, so I didn't have to consider this, but let's work this through. For the majority of the countries that I passed through, I don't think there are specially catered halal certified meals available on the train. In some of the trains’ on-board restaurants, you may have to specify non-pork options, but most likely the non-pork food will NOT be halal-certified as well. So my advice is, would be to go to the local supermarkets at each city, to buy your own food, before you board the train. The local supermarkets may have what you need.
For washing clothes, usually I bring my dirty clothes to the next city and self-service or use the laundry service on the 1st day in the next city. Then I will have a fresh set of clothes and repeat the process
@@TraverseTheGlobe Wow. That would be q risky, right? Coz would need to enter Taleban-controlled & influenced territory, especially near the Karkorum area. Are there well-laid train lines too? Think may need to traverse some of the lesser developed parts of that area in 4WD.
I totally understand, I would totally prefer to avoid warzones or unstable areas. Pretty sure there are safe areas there as well, but will need to do more research
I have wanted to do this for years
You can start planning on paper first, then execute it when the time is right!

Avoiding India like the plague😂
In the future after the pandemic, the India / Middle East / Eastern Europe route may be considered :)
