This song is so well crafted that it just seems simple. It has complexities I didn't know were possible. The composer, Brian Wilson, is one of the many musical geniuses from the '60s
Cynthia, you are so lucky to have the entire Beach Boys catalogue to discover. My favourite is "Holland", but "Smile" (with the astonishing "Heroes and Villains") and "Surf's Up" are way up there too.
I'm originally from California, I love the beach boys, in fact they are coming to my home town in Ohio next month.. Thanks for taking me back in time with this song💗
the genius of Brian Wilson, making songs so easy to listen to, that everybody thinks it's simple beautiful music, when in fact, and in particular this song, is one of the most intrincated, complex pop songs ever made
I confess that I was waiting for this! This is one of the songs in my life, and according to Paul McCartney, one of the most beautiful songs ever made... This album influenced the Beatles a lot, and since 2016, when I heard it for the first time, it has influenced me too!
Yes you'll right about what Paul McCartney said about, "God only knows" I think he said it's the best song he has ever heard, on your point about the Pet sounds album influence on The Beatles, Brian Wilson, said after hearing The Beatles, Rubber Soul album, he was so amazed by it, he was determined to try and do better! The result the Pet sounds album.
Wow...you are something very special. Personally, I love the Beach Boys since I was a boy. Loved them, barbershop quartets, etc. Harmonies. Today, some of these songs are difficult to hear without tears because I was fortunate to have someone who these words, feelings more than apply to.
You have such a calm thoughtful reaction it’s beautiful keep listening to the Beach boys they’re a good rabbit hole to fall into Brian Wilson was a genius
This is my favorite song they did. It's beautifully layered and it builds slowly. Very heartfelt music and lyrics and it's something we all can relate to. Everyone has had someone in their life they feel that way about.
Songwriting genius legend Paul McCartney has said this was his favorite song. Beautiful song! The B side of the single ' Wouldn't it Be Nice'. Love it ! Thanks pretty lady! ♥️🎼🎶🎵🇨🇦🇨🇦
Cynthia, thank you for your reaction to this great Beach Boys classic! It is always a pleasure to be able to spend a few minutes on your channel so thank you for the opportunity! You mentioned you got this song from the comment section, so maybe if I try to sneak a couple in I might get lucky and have you react to one of them too!! Hey, at least I can try, right? How about "Lonesome Mary" by Chilliwack, "Vincent" by Don McLean (best live from 1971 or so), "What's Up" by Four Non Blondes or "Superman's Song" by the Crash Test Dummies! But don't worry, even if you are too busy to get to them you still have a big fan here wishing you much success with your great channel!!
After first hearing that song, if the first words out of your mouth aren't "holy moly, that's the most beautiful love song I've ever heard," or something to that effect, you need to go back and listen to it again. Just a gorgeous song, with pristine production. Brian Wilson is a master of 3-minute symphonies. ❤️
Brian Wilson is America's tortured genius...a man who gave love and warmth to so many through is art struggles to find peace within his own mind..he is a tortured genius in every sense of the term.
Thanks for the reaction. Great song. You know today we have unlimited tracks to layer and build a song. Back then they had 4. Stuff like this just wasn't done. This album and track had a big effect on everyone including the Beatles. You should do more Beach Boy's, great band.
Don’t Worry Baby is my favorite beach boy song too, followed by so,where near Japan. And if you like The Beach Boys you should check out searching for Atlantis or Daphne by the Fantastic flying frogs. You will probably like them too.
Dreaming of you by Selena ♥️ Beautiful song. Stay in my corner: by the Dell's. Love me tender: by Elvis Presley. Goin out of my Head: by Little Anthony and the Imperials. Rainy Days and Monday: by the Carpenter's. A Rainy night in Georgia: by Brook Benton These are just a few songs that I think that you might like to listen to. Thank you for playing such beautiful songs they take me back to my much younger days 😊
Let’s start at the very beginning of The Beach Boys; Surfer Girl, California Girls, Surfin USA, Help Me Rhonda and the greatest song ever, Good Vibrations.
I'm glad you enjoyed my suggestion. A few more: BE MY BABY by The Ronettes. WISH YOU WERE HERE by Pink Floyd. SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL by The Rolling Stones. Also, I suggested it before, LIKE A ROLLING STONE by Bob Dylan. Nobody writes lyrics like Bob Dylan.
This is one of the songs I would sing to my son. Thank you 🙏❤️ If Brian Wilson had only written this song he would have still be considered a genius. Please consider checking out any of their songs, but my favorites are Good Vibrations, Don't Worry Baby, Wouldn't it be Nice This song is off of their album Pet Sounds, which is considered by rolling Stone to be the number two album of all time. For another song I used to sing to my son, check out Dream a Little Dream of Me by Mama Cass and/or the Mamas and the Papas
Oh ! You have new earphones ! Really nice... I hope they sound better than the old ones you have used so before. The Beach Boys... well... this is really a beautiful song, but in my opinion not typical for the Beach Boys. This song is from 1966 and more beat music inspired. The earlier songs are more typical and then you'll probably understand where the band has their name from. Try out "Surfin' USA", "I get around", or "Barbara Ann", probably their three best-known songs. And by the way : I recently found another reason to watch each and everyone of your reaction videos : Each time, when I see the intro, I wonder what you are wearing and what make-up you have used... although this is - as you already know - unimportant for me. So here's to your next one ! Hugs and kisses : Gerry
Another spiritually lyrical Beach Boys song is Sloop John B: ua-cam.com/video/nSAoEf1Ib58/v-deo.html I was a Beach Boys fanatic until the Beatles came along in 1964; although I immediately switched my allegiance, I've always continued to enjoy the Boys harmonies!
Yeah you know it's funny they actually made videos about this one because of the chord changes are so unconventional there are so many things Brian Wilson who is the leader of the band that sang the lead vocal and he does the writing for most of the songs you know it's amazing is when my family moved the Lawndale California back in 1962 we didn't realize how close we were to wear the Beach Boys grew up and they actually recorded music at their house their father got them started in the music business course now their house is buried under the 105 freeway but they have a marker up there I kind of historical plaque here's a funny story that Paul McCartney was in Hollywood California and he had his radio on and this song was just released and it came on the radio and Paul heard the song and he was good friends with Brian Wilson they had kind of a nice friendly rivalry anyhow when Paul McCartney heard this song on the car radio he was so taken by the song that he started crying because it was so beautiful okay my girl that was a great reaction
I would love to see a react of Brazilian music. I suggest the song ''Clube da Esquina No. 2'' (Corner Club No. 2), by Milton Nascimento. An instrumental music, censored by the Brazilian military dictatorship at the time, and one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard! Inspired by the Beatles, the Beach Boys and the Brazilian essence of the state of Minas Gerais...
This is a bit odd album and song in the sense that the band itself did not play any instruments on it. Retired bassist Brian Wilson who was then the mastermind in and behind the band, directed the studio ensemble creating the backing tracks. The rest of the band was on tour with replacing member. The group was rather surprised upon return finding out about Wilson's ideas. The band members performed all the vocal parts.
No Rubber Soul, no Pet Sounds, no Pet Sounds, no Sgt. Pepper, if Brian Wilson was able to finish and release the Smile album as planned, it would have changed the musical landscape, the Beatles would have been different, it all would have been.

Okay this is weird, another Reactor just did BB "Don't Worry Baby". Do you all have a hot line telling you what to react to? lol I've seen this happen quite a lot, where different Reactors seem to choose the same band or song. Weird!
@@bobr4987 I do know that some reactors know each other and even have them on their live streams or something. But it's just kind of weird that several reactors will react to the same song or band at the same time so it just seems like they are in communication and say OK this is what we're going to do today lol
Appreciate the girl is young but she has literally no reaction to this masterpiece nor does she have anything intelligent to say......other than subscribe,,,,comment,,,blah blah blah
RIP Carl Wilson. Such a beautiful voice and perfect for this song. He was only 19 when this was recorded.
I have love them and this song forever, but I did not know Carl was so young when this was done. He was the low-key, underrated Beach Boy.
Paul McCartney said this was the most perfect song ever made.
This song is so well crafted that it just seems simple. It has complexities I didn't know were possible. The composer, Brian Wilson, is one of the many musical geniuses from the '60s
"Don't Worry Baby" is my favorite Beach Boy song, you'd love it Cynthia, it's what I tell my friend in lagos when she has problems with things.
Another classic from the Swinging ,60s
Me too
I was listening to this song earlier in the week. One of their best. The vocals are simply amazing. Good choice!
"Warmth Of The Sun" by them is my favorite by them.
It's the best! Have you heard Willie Nelson's version? Check it out on You Tube.
Cynthia, you are so lucky to have the entire Beach Boys catalogue to discover. My favourite is "Holland", but "Smile" (with the astonishing "Heroes and Villains") and "Surf's Up" are way up there too.
Wow. Its been 30 years since I have listened to them. What a flood of memories. Good choice 👌
I'm originally from California, I love the beach boys, in fact they are coming to my home town in Ohio next month.. Thanks for taking me back in time with this song💗
the genius of Brian Wilson, making songs so easy to listen to, that everybody thinks it's simple beautiful music, when in fact, and in particular this song, is one of the most intrincated, complex pop songs ever made
And let's give credit to Tony Asher who wrote the lyrics...
I confess that I was waiting for this! This is one of the songs in my life, and according to Paul McCartney, one of the most beautiful songs ever made... This album influenced the Beatles a lot, and since 2016, when I heard it for the first time, it has influenced me too!

A masterpiece song from a masterpiece album. Many consider this song to be the best single ever released.
The Beach Boys have a host of beautiful songs with their great harmonies and the genius of Brian Wilson.

Brian Wilson was a genius
This is my favorite song they did. It's beautifully layered and it builds slowly. Very heartfelt music and lyrics and it's something we all can relate to. Everyone has had someone in their life they feel that way about.

This is a gem no denying this
It sounds simple. The lyrics are simple.. However, the composition is surprisingly complex.
Please do “In My Room”
You’d be the first on UA-cam
My favorite
I second that! In My Room is my all time favorite BB song.
I 3rd that love In My Room
Just a perfect melody and perfect lyrics.

That is one of THE great songs. Still gently nudging you in the direction of Jackie Leven. 'Working Alone' /A Blessing ' 🙏😊
In the movie "Love, Actually", when this is played, the tears cant stop flowing...
It's a beautiful melody on a beautiful channel with a beautiful host. Nice, simple smiles on a Saturday. : )
I had the pleasure of seeing them twice in the 70’s
A perfectly written and performed love song.
The harmony is spectacular.
My fav beach boys song…..they do have a huge huge catalog
Please react to Bridge over troubled water by Simon and Garfunkel, it's such a beautiful song ❤️
"Wouldn't It Be Nice" by The Beach Boys please !!!
Thank you so much. You are the BEST!☮☮☮
Any Beach Boys music is worth listening to ,
My favorite Beach Boys song.

Classic. Harmonies are spot on.
You can't go wrong with anything the Beach Boys do. Good Vibrations, Kokomo, Surfin' Safari are a few great songs.
My favorite album of all time. Fab-U-Lous!

Not that much fun.
Good music lasts forever 😊
YOU HAVE GOT TO DO "TO BE OVER" AND "HEART OF THE SUNRISE" BY YES

You really have to have a listen to "Good Vibrations" from the same album. One of the greatest pop songs ever written.
Good Vibrations wasn’t on Pet Sounds
Brian Wilson - genius. Pet Sounds is not the average Beach Boys album.
That's Carl Wilson taking the lead.
Check out Kokomo by the Beach boys
She don't cut the song like the others , she is right.
You should do a great Freddie Mercury song like I was born to love you it's a belting song 🎵 ps also has a good video with the song
