Alissa white-gluz is a canadian singer. If you want to see more from her, I would recommend “Panophobia” by The Agonist. This was the previous band of Alissa
Koen Nijland along with Tatiana from Jinjer, she’s one of few active vocalists who can almost effortlessly switch between growls and clean singing and still sound great doing either.
Hello there. You should react to Arch Enemy (Angela Gossow) - Nemesis. 2008. (Japan). Angela was thier previous singer and are on of my favorite female growl singers. So much Power and brutality!. You should compare them 🤘🏻👌. Greetings from Sweden.
@@MrRockNRollLive I´m sure all of these are gonna have been suggested all to hell but I´ll take my chance anyway. Arch Enemy - The Eagle Flies Alone / Reason to Believe / anything by Angela Gossow Anything by Within Temptation And also, a more special request: There´s a documentary on Nightwish called "Please Learn the Setlist in 48 Hours", I would usually suggest it to an older Nightwish fan from the Tarja era but now that you´re into Arch Enemy you can watch an excerpt they called "The Denver Debacle" about one of the shows specifically in the documentary with extra live footage and interviews and it´s a concert where Anette couldn´t take to stage so Alissa an Elize Ryd from Amaranthe (almost forgot, check them out too!) fill in for her throughout the whole concert. If you ever do decide to take the 40 something minutes to watch that, you might as well throw in th last show of that tour when Floor was already the singer and Elize and Alissa (and also the dude from Kamelot, once again a good suggestion for ya) all joined them onstage. You heard me right, this chick and Floor motherfucking Jansen shared a stage together. Also pay attention to Emppu when Aliss comes over to him, he has such a genuine reaction XDD Will provide links for the two videos below: The Denver Debacle - ua-cam.com/video/zH33rNy33iU/v-deo.html Onstage surprise - ua-cam.com/video/Ns3GMEMcA58/v-deo.html
@@MrRockNRollLive also, a few useful sidenotes: Brittney´s cute is on the same energy as Elize´s cute, Elize is also taken (by a hockey player) and although Simone Simons and Elize come in at an even 168 cm, you´ve never seen Floor look as tall as her next to Alissa who is only 163 cm
Mr. Rock N Roll, I'm super happy you discovered Arch Enemy. And I'm super happy you used ear phones that don't fall out when you head bang. Next up you need to do, Arch Enemy - War Eternal
I finally saw them live last Sunday as support for Amon Amarth... and I have no words for that show :D I mean their albums are great, but hearing them live and feeling that energy, that was something totally different :)
first time listening to them and I liked it! Thank you Sir for a new Metal experience ….I am a new convert to metal so I am growing my repertoire ! . Just back from Rockwich Festival which was epic! Thanks again
Been a fan since 1996 when they had Johann Liiva on vocals. Angela Gossow replaced him but she has now stepped down to help manage the band and Alissa (of the blue hair) is the current vocalist. Do check out some of their songs with Angela on vocals.
I was so happy as aCandian and already an Arch Enemy fan oh my god dude like my god I have seen both Arch Enemy and The Agonist in early days at eh same club oh my god like yeah.
When Alissa told the crowd to 'bang your head', I instantly thought of annother band you should react too, also from Sweden líke Arch Enemy but thats pretty much where the similarities end, Hammerfall, start with the song B.Y.H, wich stands for Bang your head!
You really should check out Powerwolf and Blind Guardian (Bard's song Wacken 2016). More bands with female singers: Within temptation, Xandria, Leaves eyes, van Canto (acapella metal).
to really shatter your mind: Broken By The Scream: Message 0 Live in Tokyo) two female screams (1 high one low) and 2 clean singers...all awesome. Has to be a live track otherwise you wont believe the scream/growl combo could be that brutal.
One more crazy reaction... There are at least 2-3 more A.E. songs to react on... The World is Yours is one of them. The blond guitarist is Jeff Loomis. Crazy virtuose quitarist (ex-Nevermore). Nice done.
Another Canadian Metal Goddess - Alissa White-Gluz. Former vocalist with The Agonist (great Canadian band). Try "The World Is Yours" by Arch Enemy. Then "In Vertigo" by The Agonist.
Watching him in this and his early Nightwish videos, or Jinjer Pisces (Live Session) and I just think back to the old World of Warcraft cinematic with Illidan..."You Are Not Prepared"
Oh hell yeah!! One of my fave bands!!!!. Try the world is yours by them too? Also have you done the greatest show on earth by Nightwish yet? And finally, how about some old school thrash? Sepultura - inner self, arise, beneath the remains, desperate cry ... ??
Alissa is unreal! She is so strong! A few weeks ago I was at their show, she was great, but the next day I heard that she had a temperature above 40 degrees!
I know this will get lost in the many many comments but I'll try anyway. That guitarist you mentioned at the beginning is called Jeff Loomis, the band asked him to join and as good as he is here, he's wasted in the band. His solo stuff and, more importantly his work in Nevermore is phenomenal. Definitely worth a listen. Nevermore - Enemies of Reality and This Godless Endeavour, two personal favourites
You know, I rarely listen to Arch Enemy as they're not my usual style of metal, but they're so awesome! And Alissa is a beasssst! She also featured in some of Kamelot songs, like Liar, Liar, where you can also hear her clean vocals (really pretty).
Glad to see you like Arch Enemy and Alissa White-Gluz! Check her video in The Agonist - Panophobia (Official Video) for another mind blowing blue hair head banging performance, darling.
Fine work as always Mr Roll. OK, now that I've buttered you up; time for a suggestion. Gloryhammer by Gloryhammer. I don't believe you have experienced interdimentional space metal yet. It's awesome and you'll thank me....in all dimensions......in space.
More Arch Enemy, yes please! ^^ Also, if you can find the time to do it, I would love to see you check out 'In Vertigo' by the Agonist (With their new singer Vicky after Alissa left for Arch Enemy). Also maybe some Otep? Ghost Flowers/Warhead for the heavier side, UR A WMN NOW if you want to see something very different where the lyrics carry a very dark air. While I'm at it, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE if you could check out Protest The Hero - C'est La Vie, their singer has some insane vocals and the lyrics are outstanding.
shes an angela clone, band probably told her to study angela and do what she does.. the way alissa moves and her personality all resembles angela (previous vocalist) if you search up alissa in the agonist she was still in the band but i feel like thats her, rather than her tryuing ti imitate somebody.
If you want more great female led metal might I suggest In This Moment - Maria Brink, New Years Day - Ash Costella, Halestorm - Lzzy Hale, and Stiched Up Heart - Alecia "Mixi" Demner. Also the band Amaranthe which has 3 singers one of which is Elize Ryd formerly of Kamelot. Elize helped cover the 2012 Nightwish Denver concert when Anette got sick and went to the hospital, it was pretty cool watching her and Alissa (now singer of Arch enemy) singing Nightwish songs. It was also after that concert Anette was fired and replaced by Floor.
Okay, so here's the deal. I've requested that you react to Kamelot, it hasn't happened yet and that's okay. But you should know, that the song I requested, Sacrimony, actually features this blue haired beauty so maybe now that you know that, you'll go ahead and take my recommendation. Not to mention, if you find that you like Kamelot, they're touring the US very soon and put on an amazing show. And Arch Enemy will be here soon too. I'm seeing them in October.
The agonist. That was her last band before AE. My suggestion - The agonist - and Their Eulogies Sang Me to Sleep or The agonist - Business Suits and Combat Boots.

Arch Enemy- The Eagle Flies Alone
That is one of my favs, I like thank you pain and panophobia by Alissa with the agonist
Arch Enemy - The Immortal ( Burning Bridges version)

F*ck yeah
Lololol arch enemy is wayyyyyyyyy bettet cannot even compare it

THIS.
Why? Angela and Alissa have a diferent style, It's stupid compare them!! 🙄

My suggestion - Arch enemy - Bloodstained cross with Angela Gossow on vocals .
Continue the Wacken journey: DIMMU BORGIR - Mourning Palace (LIVE - FORCES OF THE NORTHERN NIGHT)
.
Arch Enemy - reason to believe
You can hear this girl sing clean voice and growl at the same time.
Great melodic death metal from Sweeden!!!!!
So happy you got to this song! Don´t remember if I personally suggested it to you but I did want you to hear it as well

Check out liar liar wasteland monachary by kamelot. Great band in general and she has a guest spot on the song that really shows more of her range
Yesterday is Dead and Gone, War Eternal and Ravenous at Live Wacken 2016
I found this group via Nightwish. Her growls are more understandable than a lot of them out there. AND the music is great!!
