- Went out on a beautiful warm day to give thanks to my 10,000 subscribers and capture the horns that make up a new team, “The Princeton Hornshow Tigers”. We also covered the Dinky and take a ride on these MU museum pieces. Amtrak put on their usual high speed show. Those Arrow MU Westinghouse AA2 horns bring us back to an era of quaint Interurban railroading. Enjoy!!!

Your respect for the old and the new, with the possible exception of SEPTA’s Silverliner IVs, and your highlighting of the military liveries mean a lot to our troops and vets out here. Keep it up, rain or shine. We appreciate it more than words can express.
I just want to say congratulations on achieving 10,000. I enjoy your commentary. I have been able to learn more about railroad history because of your videos. I've also seen your LIRR railroading videos from the 90's and I enjoyed those videos quite a bit.
Love how when 85 passed the wind from the front of it push the NJT cars over. I never knew that happened.

I've ridden the Princeton shuttle many years ago. Two Tuscan red PRR cars plied the route. A stop at Penn's Neck and low level platforms were the norm. The Princeton station is a beautiful stone structure typical of the University buildings.. Thanks Tim😀💚

Congratulations on 10K subs! Also what an amazing hornshow from Keystone 652. I love seeing 652 because I can always get a horn from 652 because he always uses track 1 from Trenton all the way down to Metropark! Nice catches!
I like the Railfan horn code because it's one Fast Short Horn Blast which it sounded like the Conductor and the Engine said HI! or Hey!

Congrats on 10K. As a former long-time Long Island resident and short-time Delaware County (PA) resident, I appreciate your keeping us expatriates up-to-date on area rail activities. I also worked in Princeton for 3 weeks (Mon-Fri only) but never went to the station. I seem to remember a speed limit of 90 mph on long-distance trains in this area, but maybe that was because they were using E60s at the time. Now it seems like everyone, even the long-distance trains, can go thru Princeton Junction at 125!

Your comments about the Silver Meteor brought back fond memories. In 1969 my wife and I were going to Fla to see my parents. It was a rainy day. We were in the obs having a beer, when I noticed a small light in the distance, It was a GG1 pulling a clocker to Philly. We were doing at least 70. The GG1 passed us like we were standing still. Great trip.

It takes a lot of dedication to stand out there in all kinds of weather at dawn until night. It also takes intestinal fortitude to opening yourself up to comments from the current culture. Many opinions are negative just to be contrary to what you say. If you say one thing you’ll hear 5 contradictory opinions. I’m a Retired airline pilot who grew up listening to the Albertson stop LIRR, Oyster Bay branch. I never knew the technical name for the horn. K5LA. Keep on giving your views even if you get negative feedback. Those have the option of not watching.
I have every intention of doing so!!!!!! I know most people approve. If the time comes when most people don’t approve, I will amend my behavior. I don’t anticipate that happening.

I think you should make a video discussing how you gave all these engineers the nicknames they have, example in this video is "Portland Rose," among others being "French Onion Soup," "Flying Yankee." "Spaghetti and Meatballs" etc.

Congrats on the 10k thanks for the dinky ride always wondered about that i like the horn on those MU'S also that Armed Forces wrap on the NJT engine beautiful maybe another year NJT gets the next generation of double deckers that will run on the line no engine needed yes also Septa still waiting for their double deckers only a few years behind schedule their ACS 64's are patiently waiting for their arrival at least they have the Comet cars to pull for now 🙂

Great action run by’s at PJC! My parents took a photo of me there in 1977 on the low level platform with a double GG-1 led freight coming up the main behind me. Also there was a concrete pedestrian overpass on the west end now long gone!

I learned you were in the armed forces. Don't know which one but Thank you for your service. Also when the Silver Star came I couldn't help but remembering the video when you called it the "Stupid Star", made me laugh.
I was in the Air Force. Yes, last summer I called it that because it was the only train to Florida, and it took forever to get to Miami.

The Dinky is the easiest place for me to go when I need an Arrow III fix and I don't feel like trying to guess when I will or won't see them on the main NEC. My daughter (now 5) loves to go for a quick ride from Rahway or Metropark to Princeton Junction and then on to Princeton for a walk through the campus and some lunch at a crepe place in town. The only bad news is now she wants to go to Princeton when she gets older...of course I'd be proud of her if she did, but uh...does anyone have any tips on winning the lottery?
I didn’t spend any time walking around Princeton and I know how pretty it is as I was more interested in catching action on the mainline. Yes I think going to Princeton would require a few extra bucks. Maybe you could convince her to go to a community college
Congratulations, but I actually despise horns, they take away from the pure sound of a train working. Wether a diesel growling along, or an electric whining by, I rather hear the natural sounds.
Yet, I’m a locomotive engineer, and never blow horns for rail fans, just let you enjoy the pure sound of the train!🤣👍👊
