This is my most abitious project so far, trying to make Timelapses even more cinematic and engaging. The Campaign turned out longer than I though and precosseing the video takes a while so I have divided this one up into two parts. The Next part will be uploaded as fast as possible within a few days.
In order to show Europe in as much detail as possible i have used the Magna Europa mod, a big shoutout to the team behind it! If you're into just the European conflict this mod is a definite must have!
This WWII timelapse has been simulated by AI in the video game Hearts of Iron IV by Paradox Interactive.

It seems more Spanish than German troops were at the front line, but this may be symptom of German troops moving around more

I think the spanish had a huge impact on everything the axis did.
Spanish definitely filled in some gaps allowing for big offensives that would otherwise leave the axis spread thin and open to encirclement.

Of two opinions about the AI
On one. Its impressive how well the AI used the naval invasions in western & eastern europe.
On the other. The video showcased perfectly how fickle the AI can be regarding its troops. A sane player might set garrisons in harbours and possibly have a few dozen divisions in reserve nearby to push back/contain any naval invasions if there isn't a proper army guarding the coastline/assigned for invasion guard duty.
Worst is probably ally AI's units going off back to their home country just to sit while leaving huge gaps on the front line. I'd imagine hitler might have invaded Italy as revenge if the whole Italian army was in the east and just left one day like the US leaving Iraq with a note left on the table.

Why do you no longer show the size of encircled pockets? I thought that was a nice touch and I’d like to see it brought back.
Fielded manpower and casualties were displayed in earlier videos as well. I think those should also be brought back.
I forgot to mention, I know the African theatre wasn’t the focus of this video but I think it should have been briefly shown to give an idea of how it is going there.
I would like to reintroduce the Statistics but it's getting copied by a lot of other channels, and I would like to focus more on storytelling and interesting events. Maybe I find a way to reintroduce it in a clever way to not obstruct with the other elements. I'll look into it

Me playing as Soviet Union: *gives up when Germany invades because their winning on whole front like my 200+ divisions aren't there*
That might be attrition and just bad divisions
A H use 40 widths and get goooood tanks. Player soviet union can easily crush AI Germany
Pick field marshalls with defensive doctrine and support compnies that buffs entrenchment on 20 or 40 width infantry. Dont forget anti tank support either and fighters on air superiority.. a few lvls of land forts are also a nice addition. Played a non historical ironman where the whole world allied against me. They had 38m losses vs my 1m losses and didnt lose a single tile. After that many casualties I could invade easily.
@@shrek4949 Its so difficult to keep up with Axis tech though. I can barely get to 120 mils in 41, and its incredibly difficult to produce enough artillery, support equipment to keep even 3 or 4 7/2's per tile, whilst getting enough factories to make tanks that matter.
Meanwhile, after France capitulates Germany shits outs an extra 200 divisions and gets triple my frontline in divisions. Every time it devolves into trench warfare on the border for me, which, waiting for Germany to burn through extensive, service by requirement and all adults serve is not really crushing the Axis.
@@jasperlim8319 Your mistake is trying to 7/2 with the SU. You need mass infantry and lots of guns with artillery on support.

In true HOI4 fashion, Germany wins because the British put their boats away for 3 seconds to fix them up, and the Germans were able to land in Scotland. The British seem to not have an army.

That was a really good timelapse but i was rooting for the soviets to make a massive encirclement in the end and win

The allies in this timelapse are completly useless, all the naval invasions fails so hard and no pressure was taken from the soviet front, almost ironic tbh, but amazing videos you are making, keep going :D
To be fair, most of the allies' strength comes from their colonies.

Lmao they tried like 5 naval invasions of the Netherlands and Norway and all of them shortly turned into disasters.
Because in this mod the US ia not exist. So no Normandy landing. The Allies only have the UK and France

@Nova_Gaming not really Spain had still to recover from its Civil War. Joining the Axis would have changed nothing apart from Spain being taken over by the Allies. Reality isnt a game it has other rules.
@Nova_Gaming there was never the "one last push" to get Sovjets down. If they joined they would have been under the constant threat of an Allied Invasion. Spain would have been ineffective Just like Italy and a second Italy would have absolutely changed nothing ,since they lacked a heavy Industry for a War. And they still recovered from the previous Civil War. And after Stalingrad even with the help of the Spanish nothing would have changed that could turn the tide of the War. You need to understand there was never that last push to defeat the Sovjets. Eeven if they lost Moscow they would continue fighting. Even if the lost Stalingrad the Allies would still reinforce them with Oil and other necessery things.The Axis would have had a chance when the 6th Army didnt got encircled but it did happen the Spanish could have never changed that. Strategic Disasters wouldn't have been avoided since it was the German High command who was fault of doing wrong decisions. Accept it Germans would have lost no matter what happened.
The USSR wasted way to much on those naval invasions.

Possibly my favorite AI timelapse of Hoi4, I hope you do consider using Magna Europa again sometime.
This video is EPIC, but i have a suggestion for you. When you do big timelapse like this and don't have place for statistics, maybe you can add casualties, number of factories,.... in the subtitles for more immersive as everyone want to know about the cost of the war.
